  1. It's certainly a bit of both. But imo, the coaching has more issues than talent level. The lack of fundamentals is appalling. These guys are better football players than anyone on this board, have progressed from high school to major college programs and were good enough to get drafted to the NFL... and across the board, I'm to believe our defenders never learned how to breakdown and make an open field tackle? Or line up correctly on Offense (illegal formations), Defense (clearly Offside), and Special Teams (illegal formations)? Or is it just the bad guidance they're getting (or NOT getting)... The game planning is horrible or non-existent, not sure which is worse. But when you have fans trying to justify horrible game plans with "The Bills coaches know we're so good we dont want to show much against bad teams", and now we're LOSING those games, it's a problem. And then the schemes... especially the defense... it's the crappy, soft, outdated, wild-card-caliber scheme that dictates talent issues. Small LBs, CBs that can only play zone, who knows wtf we're looking for at DL... I'm not acquitting Beane. I've been a supporter (and even excuser), but at this point, if it means a change at HC then I'm for sacrificing Beane as well. You cant have that bad a track record in the first 2 rounds and survive. I'm absolutely disgusted today.
  2. Even our top guys are playing poorly. Lost, confused, uninspired. And in all 3 phases. Offense, Defense and Special Teams. That is a major coaching issue that talent wont fix. And given our cap situation, there is no changing the talent level right now.
  3. I like Beane but if it's the only way to make a HC change then I'm willing to sacrifice him as well. To the bold, 2 weeks in a row a young, hungry team beat us down and we looked bumbling and befuddled.
  4. He should be in on 3rd down, and he shouldnt be blocking. It's that simple.
  5. This simple comparison tells the entire tale. Sure, they were only 5 picks apart. The big difference is: Worthy went at 28, the Bills original pick. KC traded up to get the top talent. Buffalo abdicated their position, and in those 5 picks, traded down twice, out of the 1st round completely, passed up on 3 other WRs... and took "a guy" Even worse that we held the original position, and helped KC leap frog us. Huge huge difference in philosophy.
  6. Doesnt seem to matter who is out there when practically the entire team is showing up unprepared, undisciplined, and unmotivated.
  7. If I'm Pegula I tell McDermott TONIGHT that Babich is fired first thing in the morning and McDermott is taking over the defense and I MUST see improvement. If McDermott protests I tell him I'm making this decision for him so I dont have to make a decision on him right now. But that decision will depend on how much the defense improves and how far we go in the playoffs. Perfect time to make the change going into the bye week. McD's last chance.
  8. Doesnt matter since McDefense will make sure we never make it to a Super Bowl to lose.
  9. What a ***** crock. Wasting the greatest player in Buffalo Bills history with bush league coaching. Absolutely disgusting showing. Again.
  10. As has been said a lot the past week, Sean McDermott is the James Franklin of the NFL. I'll see myself out now. Maybe he did hire good recruiting coaches. The problem is, there is no recruiting anymore. You get players as good as your boosters are willing to pay in NIL money. That's it.
  11. Official Bills Backers Tailgate ROOOOLLLLL CAAAAAALLLLLLLLL!!!!! https://www.tickpick.com/organizer/event/atl-takeover-tailgate-with-bills-backers-atlanta-58822442
  12. There's a history. A definite drinking history. These guys just get away with it a bit more due to who they are. There's been a few stories coming out on podcasts this week that revolve around "this guy can be an issue at times when he gets a few drinks in him". It just hadnt gone this far before. He was dating a high schooler while playing for the Jets, so not a great starting point as it is.
  13. No idea on the last question of how difficult it is to remove, but I've seen a number of different BTS shows (Hard Knocks, Quarterback, All or Nothing, etc) and have seen teams all doing this in-house. The helmets come blank and teams apply stickers. Kinda crazy that it isnt machined.
  14. You guys making the BBA tailgate? Only need a ticket if you want their food/drinks. Everyone can come hang for free and BYO. https://www.tickpick.com/organizer/event/atl-takeover-tailgate-with-bills-backers-atlanta-58822442
  15. Just pulled the trigger on my tickets! See yall in Sec 123!
  16. IMO, this was/is more a lack of coaching issue than a lack of WR issue. Yep, trying to show his ex how happy he is without them.
  17. Those were great days in Atlanta. Not only could we get cheap tickets, we often got FREE tickets by going up to the ticket window at game time and saying "I was emailed a code for free tickets, I forget what it was but it was a player's name", and they'd just print us out free 300 level tickets. And for the record the Thrashers had a lot of die hard fans. Hockey was and still is big down here. But there are so many transplants, that games were often 50/50. For what it's worth, the Thrashers consistently averaged attendance around 14,000-15,000 in an arena that holds almost 17,000. The "new" Winnipeg Jets arena that they moved to holds a max of 15,000. Atlanta losing the Thrashers wasnt due to lack of fans. It was the ownership group that didnt know what to do with them.
  18. Agreed in general, but to deep dive one item (aka nit pick haha), I feel like we are OVER-aggressive in tackling instead of using good technique to breakdown, keep feet moving, and keep the runner in front of you, and make the tackle. Way too often our guys are running full speed at the ball carrier and just run right by them and/or are easily juked. Detroit ran a perfect spy on Lamar who never got too aggressive or fast, and stayed home and stayed in good position for Lamar to come to them, and made tackle after tackle. We make this harder on ourselves than it needs to be. Babich needs to get control of it and get it corrected. Pro players shouldnt be forgetting how to open-field tackle.
  19. Yes, we've won after losing. No duh. The point is, bad games arent used as "wake up calls" where we show up the next week fired up and dominate, or at least execute at an extremely high level. Or go on some tear where coaches and/or players are talking about "That week 4 game left a bad taste in our mouths and we wanted to come back out and prove who we are". Its always the same "steady, consistent" trudge. We lose a game, we come out the next week with the same low level of intensity, plug along and squeak out another win against an inferior opponent. And yes, there is something to be said for steady, consistent leadership that never gets too high or too low. But football is an emotional game as well, and sometimes it would be nice to see a team that is pissed off, locked in, and ready to stomp an inferior opponent. And sure, we've blown some teams out. But it wasnt from any wake up call off a bad performance.
  20. Agreed with all of this except the last line. Everyone should already know exactly who and what Tua is, especially those people in the Dolphins building. (hint: he should be thrown out along with Grier and McDaniel)
  21. I've heard this so many times week over week going back to at least 2022. Never happens. We have never come off a bad performance and showed out the next week. Expect the same 1st half sleep walking, and then everyone (coaches included) hoping Josh pulls off a miracle to get us a win.
  22. Where did Cook land? Agreed that's way too low for Kincaid, especially for how he's been performing. Brady needs to learn when to make adjustments out of "everyone eats" when guys and plays are hot.
