I find it unlikely McD is playing/pulling guys based on the score of another game. He is too much of a planner for that. He will do what he thinks is best for the team. If he thinks getting the second seed is very important-- which I doubt-- He will keep playing the starters.

If they win, the issue next week is rest v. 2nd or 3rd seed. If Pittsburgh is competing with us for the 2 seed next week, I'm not sure risking injury to get a home playoff game against Pitt v. on the road against Pitt is worth it (assuming Pitt wins in the first playoff round, and so too the Bills). That will be the main issue. Not tonight.

I'm so happy about this team, it just seems small to be whining about a bye or the lack thereof. Maybe it's just my fatigue with certain politicians who whine a lot.

It's no different than being ahead in a horse race 100 yards from the wire with horses surrounding you. Talk to me when we hit the wire, especially with the "what if's" about not getting a bye. Nothing sadder than "what if's" especially when you don't know if you have anything to regret.
