  1. I'd be surprised if they don't go with a TE early, probably round 2.
  2. You are the love child of Debbie Downer and Eeyore.
  3. Cole Beasley and John Brown appear to think Josh Allen is franchise NFL qb material. They made career decisions based on that opinion, but what do they know compared to internet skeptics with years of keyboard experience?
  4. I am confident that patience, open-mindedness, and logical, just conclusions will continue to evade your interlocutor.
  5. So is the run game with the dbs having to cover the entire field.
  6. Why would you put Dawkins at RT where he wasn't good there his rookie year and then put a rookie or FA at LT to protect Allen's blindside? There aren't any LTs of note available in FA. Trent Brown was the only plausible option there. Bring in D. Williams at RT; if not, you are probably trying to resign Mills (alas) and drafting a rookie to eventually replace him. If you did bring in a hypothetical LT which doesn't really exist, Dawkins moves to LG, Teller and Long would battle it out at RG. I have concern about D. Williams' durability. If healthy, he would be a good signing and add flexibility to the draft. I am inclined to stick at #9 if a blue chip player drops. I would not pass on Ed Oliver, for example, just to add picks because we have holes on the roster.
  7. So far as I can tell, the rumor about shopping this fella is directly tied to the rumor that he is included in a possible deal for OBJ. It's all nebulous, but if the latter is the correct scenario, it's not really true that the Browns are looking to deal Zeitler. He's a possible piece in a chance at a mercurial, but talented wr. He's not actually a potential target for other teams.
  8. If there was a zero star option, I'd vote. It's awful.
  9. We could invest in the oline. Need quite a few fellas and there are some decent options in free agency.
  10. Trent Brown. Ja'wuan James, and Mitch Morse ought to be our targets to remake the oline. Move Dawkins to LG. Draft DL at nine where the talent is at the top, then wr, te, rb.
  11. What are the odds Ed Oliver is there for us at #9? I can see Ferrell or Gary possibly being available. Hope we sign a few good free agent olinemen. Like you, I'd hate to pass on them for Jonah, though he's not a bad pick.
  12. I like Isabella. I'd rather get him in the third, but he may not last that long. N'keal Harry and Kelvin Harmon are two wrs I'd also think about in the second. If we stay at #9, I really think there's going to be an elite DL fella available. Devin White is going to be a very good lb as well, but he'll probably be gone before our pick. Hopefully we grab a few good free agent olinemen. In spite of our need to massively upgrade the offense and build around Allen, that's not where the top of the draft talent is, imo.
  13. I'm willing to buy John C's patience with young players, but I want a coach I trust to bring championships.
  14. What's the deal with Quenneville? Is there some obvious reason he wouldn't be someone to look at if Housely walks the plank?
  15. BPA is almost certain to be DL at nine. I just hope we pick up a RT and interior olineman in free agency, though I wouldn't pass on elite DL just to fill a need.
  16. Below Average3-cone: 7.38Short Shuttle: 4.50 DL appears to have outstanding talent likely to be available at nine. Metcalf should be considered, but it's far from a no-brainer. Pretty deep WR class, so second round should have some good players that fit what we are trying to do.
  17. Almost impossible that they don't get one or the other, esp. if Murray goes #1 overall.
  18. I really think we need to see how free agency plays out. I am hopeful we sign two good veteran olinemen. BPA could easily end up being a very good DL that falls because of more qbs going early than many expected.
  19. Are those wingers among the youth that is maturing, free agent targets, or via trade over the summer? Can Ullmark improve to the point where he's an "upgrade." If not, who is likely available to fill that role?
  20. I sent Carlson an e-mail to clarify (as it was not evident to me he was in on the joke, either.) He has responded to a couple of previous messages I sent, so I guess he reads some of his e-mail.
  21. I'm not opposed to drafting an olineman early, but I'd rather go the veteran free agent route. I'm not convinced the o-line available in this draft is worthy of a top ten pick.
  22. I expressed a concern, not a rejection of the prospect that Brown might be the real deal. I gave the fella a thumbs up for his idea, after all.
  23. I do worry some that New England oline is subject to being overrated because Brady is quick to get rid of the ball and the Bob Kraft referee advantage that isn't portable to other teams.
