2023 Offseason Primer: Cap Tickets (Restructure)
BuffaloRebound replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall
Interesting take on an Oliver extension. Even if we’d be buying low, I think i’d rather see him take the next step in a contract year. I’d rather have to pay more next year and reward him after taking a leap than pay him after a mediocre year. -
Given the 3 year rule. Analyzing the Bills 2020 draft..

Hodgins was a great pick in the 6th round. That’s an A grade. Same with Teller in the 5th round in a previous draft. It’s not the GM’s fault the coaching staff doesn’t know how to use the talent given to them. -
Well Beane, KC didn’t need to suck to draft Chris Jones in the 2nd round. Find some difference makers.
-
Can we really put another undersized LB on field (Milano is awesome but he can be run at) when our Nickel CB isn’t even 200lbs?
-
Parsons, AJ Brown, Deebo, Kelce, Josh. Power, speed, agility. Edmunds would actually fit the physical profile too if he wasn’t so damn robotic.

Is it the drafting or the player development?
BuffaloRebound replied to Low Positive's topic in The Stadium Wall
Most successful teams have a type of guy they draft. 49ers draft big physical DL and OL. Ravens the same. And it works more often than not for them. Groot, Basham, Epenesa, Oliver… not really clear what exactly we’re looking for there. None of them would be considered overly physical or speed rushers. Oliver undersized, Epenesa was asked to lose weight, Basham and Groot aren’t speed rushers but also not overly physical. Same on the O-Line. Just doesn’t seem like the Bills even know what they’re looking for. -
In regards to Singletary, there’s so many free agent RB’s available that will be the same price or cheaper that would bring a much more physical presence to the running game and are also faster. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/all/running-back/all/

This. I like Singletary, but he’s too small and slow. Get a hammer back there. Damien Harris won’t be that expensive. That’s the type of guy we need. We need to get a more physical run game. Hynes is good in the return game but his number is too big for just that.

Burrow beatdown.

Cincy was basically laughing at our defense. Calling timeouts on your own 20 after a 4 yard play with 30 seconds left in the half when you’re up 10… Ultimate disrespect. Not deferring in the Hamlin game. 13 seconds the year before. Running it back on the defensive side means putting all your marbles on a 34 year old returning from an ACL injury.
-
Content with good. About sums up things. Considering how bad this organization was the previous 20 years, it’s understandable. Maybe we’ll get lucky and the Chiefs, Bengals, 49ers, and Eagles get knocked off or have injury problems next year, but we ain’t beating any of those teams in the playoffs next year if we’re running it back. They have better rosters and better coaching.

Is it the drafting or the player development?
BuffaloRebound replied to Low Positive's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’d argue that’s not best way to measure since most guy’s productive NFL careers are 4-5 years max and it’s really hard to overcome a bad 3-4 year start. -

Has to be something going on with player development, scheme. Can’t be this many whiffs on the D Line without something going on with how they’re being coached/ developed. -
Bills Coaching Staff Changes Thread
BuffaloRebound replied to hellofellowbillsfans's topic in The Stadium Wall
Firing this poor guy after that debacle is your answer McDermott? -
That’s from December 29th, doesn’t include the Cincy torching before game was cancelled. The Dolphins and Bengals gameplan was to target him. There was no playing with fire. He was bad.
-
Seemed like the opponents best gameplan was to target Tre. Certainly was for the Bengals. If the Hamlin situation never happened, this would be a much bigger topic of conversation. He was never a speed guy, has lost a step or 2, and mentally doesn’t seem to be handling that well. This is a huge problem.

Why isn't Frazier interviewing for Head Coaching positions?
BuffaloRebound replied to fasteddie's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yep. Throw in 13 seconds and how bad the defense looked on Sunday, there’s no way Frazier is getting a head coaching job unless the Texans are looking for another guy to fire after a year.
