  1. McDermott’s strength is finding and developing DB’s and LB’s. Would much rather spend free agency dollars on offense or D-Line.
  2. Can’t help but think of the scene in Goodwill Hunting where Affleck shakes down the guys interviewing him for the money in their pockets.
  3. I think I’d rather bring back poyer than sign a 33 year old LB.
  4. WR definitely worth the investment. With Diggs already here, I just don’t think a 1st or 2nd round pick for a WR you’re gonna have to give $20m per year next year is wise. I’d rather double dip and draft one in the 1st or 2nd this year and sign a potential elite Slot guy like Gesicki for $10m. Diggs, Davis, Gesicki, 1st round WR, and Shakir could be top 5 good.
  5. Any 2 of Oliver, Gabe, and 3rd round pick. Doubt that gets it done but we can’t be trading 1st and 2nd round picks. Those high picks need to be cost controlled starters for the next 4+ years. Jeudy only has 1 more year left before his contract balloons.
  6. White, Hyde, Oliver and Taron really the only contracts now where you question the cap hit bang for the buck. White and Hyde are coming off injury and their cash salary this year is reasonable. So probably nothing to be done there. Ride it out and see if they have bounce back years. Taron probably a bargain at $6.5m salary this year. He could be extension candidate to lower cap hit. Oliver is the one that kinda sticks out like sore thumb. $10.7m salary and cap hit is too rich with too little impact for a title contender with a QB not on a rookie deal.
  7. Not more than $3m. Still gets to play football and make more than he would in any other job. And he’s best buds with Josh. It’s possible somebody gives him more money but Bills can just wait out the Backup QB musical chairs game.
  8. Darnold or trubisky. And they’ll be cheaper than keenum was.
  9. 3 years $19.5m total for TJ Edwards to Bears and Edmunds is gonna get $20m per year?
  10. Yes, he probably had outside contain but getting shoved that far wide meant the LB had that much farther to run.
  11. For $2m I think you bring back McKenzie even if he never sees the field. He’s good insurance in case you ever need him like the 2021 game at New England. I actually think he might have some trade value at $2m per year also.
  12. And Epenesa did his usual rag doll routine getting shoved 5 yards to the outside by the Offensive Tackle.
  13. Cincy would’ve scored a TD on their first 5 possessions if not for Milano. His pass breakup in the end zone forced a field goal and his stop for loss on the 3rd possession also stopped a drive. Without Miller, he’s our only consistent playmaker on defense.
  14. Haha. Looked like he was racing Rich Eisen.
  15. Yeah. The League values WR’s higher than any position other than QB now. You can either pay huge bucks in the free agent market for a Christian Kirk or Jacobi meyers or trade a high pick for one.
  16. Almost a no brainer to spread Millers roster bonus over 4 years for the cap savings this year. Even with the injury, $52m over 3 years wasn’t exorbitant plus he helps recruit other free agents. If we end up with $14m in total dead money spread over 2025 and 2026 ($7m each year) when the cap is projected to be upwards of $300m, you’re talking less than 2.5% of the cap.
  17. Why not just have him get in better shape? He’s a solid LT when doesn’t let himself go. He was definitely the sloppiest looking dude at the Pro Bowl.
  18. Pretty sure they had to make this call by the end of the month. Kind of a no brainer considering Tua showed he can play and it’s only $23m to lock him up for another year.
  19. Can’t see Tennessee trading Simmons but they traded AJ Brown so you never know.
  20. If we can get a 2nd rounder for Gabe Davis, you take it and ask no questions. Every player on this roster is replaceable other than Josh, Diggs, and Milano.
  21. Mr. 2.5 sacks wants the Bills to show him the money?
  22. No downside to shopping him. Give him some extra motivation to have a breakout year. I’d probably want at least a 2nd rounder for him or a good player in return. So most likely he returns knowing he’s gotta ball out.
  23. Good front offices aren’t mistake free but know when to move on. Eagles drafted Reagor over Jefferson, but quickly moved on. Chiefs drafted a JAG RB in the 1st round, and replaced him with a 7th rounder.
  24. How about Gesicki as our slot guy? Could see him catching 80+ passes in this offense and would be a matchup problem in the red zone.
  25. 3 years $30m ain’t gonna prevent the Bills from doing the things they need to improve this off-season or in the future. Edmunds on the other hand is gonna be too much and that money needs to go towards improving the offense and D Line.
