Bills are grandpa's based on average roster age.
BuffaloRebound replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
10 or 11 months difference from the youngest. And we haven’t yet announced the college udfa’s. That 12-14 guys around 22 years of age which orobably drops the average age by 6 months. -
Looks like Settle will be inactive on game days unless there’s an injury.

Bills sign Latavius Murray to a one-year deal

Shows McBeane is committed to being more physical on offense. -
You would never know we were 13-3 by the way most people are talking about this team. I think it sets up nicely for us to be the hunter instead of the hunted this year. There’s a lot of guys who could have either bounce-back or contract year type seasons. Tre, Hyde, Oliver, Epenesa, Basham, Rousseau, Spencer Brown, Gabe, Harris, even Knox. Then I’d expect increased contribution from Elam and Cook plus a jolt from Kincaid and Torrence. That’s not even factoring in Josh coming in re-focused after a year in which he became a mega-star. Diggs, Milano, maybe Tremaine, Morse and Dawkins were probably only guys who had really good years by their standards. There’s a lot of room for this team to improve.

Hard to be a top pass catcher without elite hands. That’s what holds back Knox from taking the next step. Same with Gabe. Mckenzie was even more inconsistent catching the ball. None of our RB’s have great hands either. I expect Kincaid to be Josh’s #2 target rather quickly.

Sometimes you just get lucky and the guys you need fall into your lap. I’d say that was kinda the case with Kincaid and definitely the case with Torrence. We haven’t had that kind of draft luck probably since Josh. Look at the Jets last year and all the guys that fell into their lap. Then look at this year with Steelers moving up and stealing their left tackle. With 31 other teams going after the same guys, there’s definitely luck involved. I’m not sure we could’ve had a better first 2 rounds considering where we were picking.

Not sure there was a top 7-8 team who helped themselves more. Maybe the Ravens. Maybe Philly. We arguably added 2 top flight starters to the offense. To a team that was 13-3.

I’d think Dawkins, Mcgovern, Morse, Cyrus, Brown with Knox, Kincaid, Diggs, Gabe, Harris and Josh is our base offense with Cook and Harty as our smaller package.

RD 2, Pick 59: G O’Cyrus Torrence, Florida
BuffaloRebound replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall
This guy, a big slot in Kincaid, and Damien Harris… adds a different dimension to the offense that it was lacking. More physicality was definitely needed on the offense. In regards to the defense, it looks like they’re banking on Tre returning to form, the return of Hyde, Elam making a leap, Rapp adding some physicality to the back 7, and replacing Edmunds by committee. I could see Oliver stepping it up in a contract year, and continued improvement from Rousseau. Jones, Phillips and Shaq provide steady play and hopefully Epenesa and Basham show some marginal improvement and Von rounds into form by end of season. -
I assume bears traded in front of Giants for a Center
-
That’s first thing I noticed too in his highlights. He catches the ball effortlessly and then is immediately getting upfield. Kelce was first guy I thought of.
-
Good news is there will probably be 2 QB’s, and 3 or 4 Tight Ends taken before we pick tomorrow. Hopefully a quality IOL player is available at pick 59. I might even trade up again for an Avila or the kid from Florida.
-
They had no idea what happened. Beane snuck in there with the Giants/Jax trade knowledge. Kinda like what the Patriots did to the Jets.
-
Smith-Njigba and Kincaid were the 2 best pass catching options in the draft. We got one of them.
-
Dallas draft room looked like they got blind-sided. The only way the Bills were able to pull this off is because they knew the Giants were trading with the Jags. Dallas probably didn’t even get chance to call Jax before trade was in.
-
Kincaid could very likely be our 2nd leading pass catcher next year
-
Agreed. Kincaid is completely different player than Mayer. Twice as quick.
-
Love it. Our slot guy went from 5’ 9” 180 lbs to this guy.

Will DeAndre Hopkins be available this offseason?

There’s no way on earth the Ravens are gonna trade for Hopkins. It will be hard enough for Lamar to get OBJ enough targets. -
Any Bills Fans ever been to the NFL Draft (I'll start)

Went in 2001, the year Vick went first overall and we traded back and took Nate Clements. No tickets were distributed so hand to stand in long line to get in. Was pretty boring. Before smart phones, it was way better to be watching it on TV in your living room. And most of the people there were just dressed up to get on TV and had no idea that the Chargers traded the #1 pick the night before. Was a weird scene. I assume it is way better now. -

Hopkins, DT at 34, OL at 59 would be ideal scenario for Bills, but things rarely happen that way. -
This. We need a people mover in the interior of the O-Line. Doesn’t necessarily have to be a 1st rounder but I’ll be disappointed if we don’t draft one in top 3 rounds. This offense and O-Line needs more physicality.

Will the Bills make a draft selection in the first round?
BuffaloRebound replied to WickedGame's topic in The Stadium Wall
If Beane gets anything close to the trade value chart to trade down from pick 27, I’d think that’s the route he’ll go. Sounds like anybody available at pick 27 isn’t gonna be much better than who you’d get 10-20 picks later. -
Will DeAndre Hopkins be available this offseason?
BuffaloRebound replied to NeverOutNick's topic in The Stadium Wall
There’s only 7 teams currently with enough cap room to take on his 2023 $19m salary and none of them are rumored destinations for him. So he effectively still has a no trade clause if he’s not willing to restructure. -

2 years $33m for Hopkins is probably fair. Not sure why he wouldn’t agree to convert his $19m salary this year to a signing bonus. I also get why no team wants to give up premium draft picks for that contract. So if Arizona’s options are a 6th rounder without paying any of Hopkins’ 2023 salary or a 3rd rounder while paying $10m of his salary, I’d think they’d at least consider Oliver given how bad their D Line is unless they’re just completely tanking this year.
