  1. Good analysis. I'd add to this that when your defense can't get off the field, it places a lot more pressure on your offense. Also seems like our offense starts every drive deep in our end lately.
  2. F'em both, but can't stand watching that fat slob celebrate on the sidelines when they are pounding us.
  3. Actually enjoyable watching Gronkowski abuse the Jets secondary. Even Revis the Great can't do anything with him. Gronkowski is too damned big and runs like a WR.
  4. So apparently every single thing is reviewable on a scoring play? Shouldn't they just have been reviewing the catch?
  5. When Maybin is the guy chasing him. He made Brady look like Roethlisberger.
  6. Gronkowski is a beast. Glad we took Troup instead of the hometown kid.
  7. I think the losing/small-time culture gets the best of a lot of guys. It shouldn't matter, but it does take a different kind of guy that appreciates playing for a city and franchise like Buffalo. Seems like more and more it is the guys who get passed over and over-looked who appreciate it, and the guys who come in with big reps fail miserably.
  8. Major disappointment. Brad Smith too. Their heads aren't in it. Simple things like Smith making sure his foot is out of bounds when he catches the kick-off. Losing contain on the opening kickoff of the 2nd half against the Jets when our kicker got hurt trying to make the tackle. Spiller dropping a wide open bomb. It's like the guy didn't want the ball thrown to him. He couldn't even keep his balance running for the ball. You get paid millions of dollars. At least make the simple/easy plays that are out there.
  9. Jackson should've got an extension first. He is our whole team. Other teams are finally realizing that and defending us accordingly.
  10. Just get to 10 wins. That should be enough to get us into playoffs. Looking ahead in the NFL is foolish. We were 0-8 and playing good football by the end of the year.
  11. Skins looked bad, but we were still getting after it. Pass rush seemed to finally be the focus. Felt we played the 1st part of the season too tentative from getting the ball run down our throats last year.
  12. I think Luck is worthy of all the hype he's getting. Definitely nit-picking, but 2 things that might cause him to not live up to the hype in NFL are the difference between being a true student-athlete at Stanford and professional NFL QB. Guys at football factory schools are basically professionals already. Also, he seems to be a bit of a system QB. Stanford is a power-running team and Luck rarely gets in 3rd and long situations. Everything seems so controlled there and when he inevitably lands on a bad team, he doesn't have the physical tools or experience of a Cam Newton who had to make plays all the time.
  13. Agree with most of this, but someone like Newton even Eli would have been able to complete those passes throwing off their back foot. Fitz needs to step into his throws to get zip on the ball. The problem I saw against the Giants was that Fitz was indecisive. When he gets into a flow, he knows where he wants to go pre-snap and the ball comes out of his hands right away letting him step into his throws. Too many times on Sunday, he was getting to the line of scrimmage with less than 10 seconds on the play-clock and sometimes less than 5 seconds. It didn't give him a chance to read the defense pre-snap which is his greatest strength as a QB. Don't know what the issue was with getting the plays in on time, but it took away Fitz's greatest strength and was an issue on that last pick.
  14. Seems like they're happy just not having a team run it down our throats like last year. Playing Carrington and Johnson at OLB instead of Moats exhibits that mindset.
  15. Love Gailey and Fitzpatrick's aggressiveness. That being said, Bills defense yesterday must've drove Gailey nuts. Sitting back and being picked apart by Manning was painful. Not sure what Moats has to do to get on the field more. He was the only guy who got close to Manning.
  16. That play, like many others was rushed to beat the time clock. Happened way too many times yesterday. Fitzpatrick and Gailey both seemed a little indecisive. Up 14-10 and driving, Fitz took a bad sack where he waited far too long. Also think the swirling winds made Fitz lack some confidence in throws he normally makes.
  17. Gonna have to put up a lot of points to win this game. Need some big plays from Spiller and Smith. Maybe this will be Smith's break-out game in his old stomping grounds.
  18. I doubt Parrish is in Buffalo next year. Easley is an after-thought at this point as he has never played a down in a regular season-game. Lloyd seems like a Gailey/Fitzpatrick fit as he gets open and catches everything. Don't know anything about the guy's character and how he'd fit in the locker room, but from a playing stand-point, he'd be a good fit .
  19. Hope it's not this Gillett guy. Quick google search shows he doesn't keep any of his investments (business or sports-related) very long. Don't see how he would bring stability to the franchise.
  20. Love it. Beat the Pats and Brady's toughness questioned at the same time. Might have been the smart play, but guarantee you he lost some respect in the locker room after that pull-up.
  21. Because it's worthless if the League doesn't approve it.
  22. Pretty sure no one plays divisional opponents in the pre-season. That gets it down to 4 out of 28. Also pretty sure no one does the East Coast/West Coast trip for preseason games. That eliminates Seattle, Oakland, San Fran, San Diego, and probably Arizona. That gets you down to 4 out of 23. Still not random, but also makes sense that an NFC team that is a 25 minute plane ride away is usually on the pre-season schedule.
  23. On one of them, he ran upfield, got re-directed about 5 yards behind the QB, and Young tucked it and basically ran right into Maybin.
  24. Article didn't say anything about him starting.
