  1. Run on 1st down, Run on 2nd down, Pass on 3rd down, Punt
  2. Spiller is an excellent RB, but doesn't fit with Marrone's style. He's a better fit in a more pass-happy spread offense. Doubt he re-signs here next year. Best for both sides if you trade him now.
  3. +1. Perfect RT for a smash-mouth team. Guy is a nasty people mover.
  4. Unless it's for Clowney, can't see the Bills trading up. We already have a LT so I'd be surprised if we take a Tackle at #9 much less trade up unless it's a mauler like Robinson. If we can't get Clowney, Bills best case scenario would be someone like Cleveland trading up to #9 if one of the top QB's fall. Cleveland's #26, #35, and #106 pick approximates value of #9 pick. Could pick 3 of Kouiandjio, Crichton, Ford, Hyde, Niklas with our top 3 picks.
  5. Would people trade Spiller to Denver for their 1st round pick (#31)? It makes a lot of sense for both sides. Denver needs to go all in with Manning on borrowed time. Doesn't seem like Spiller's talents mesh with Marrone's smash-mouth preference. Would be surprised if Spiller is still a Bill after the draft. Chris Johnson stuff and Bills checking out all the top RB's in the draft seems like there is a lot smoke.
  6. Highly doubt a WR or TE is in play for pick #9. Williams, Johnson, and Woods are a solid top 3 with Goodwin as a deep threat. Chandler is an adequate TE. Given Marrone's preference for running the ball, improving the run game is more of a need at this point. OL and a younger version of Freddy are biggest needs on offense.
  7. Matthews/Robinson in 1st and Crichton in 2nd would be a solid draft. If a dude can dream I'd take Clowney and Kouindjio in the first 2 rounds if it cost me Spiller and next years 2nd rounder. Pass rusher and OT are Bills biggest needs given Marrone's style. Another workhorse back probably right behind.
  8. Stranger things have happened, but if Mack makes it to Atlanta, good chance one of the top 2 OT's makes it to us and that's assuming St Louis takes one which isn't a lock.
  9. I think it's more likely. 1. Clowney 2. Rams - Matthews 3. Jax - QB 4. Cleveland - Watkins/QB 5. Oakland - QB/Watkins 6. Atlanta - Mack 7. Tampa - Evans/QB/Robinson 8. Minnesota - QB 9. Buffalo - Robinson? Could see scenario where Robinson falls to us. Teams ahead of us either have franchise LT's (Cleveland, Minnesota, Jax) and/or greater needs (Atlanta - pass rusher, Tampa - WR/QB, JAX - QB).
  10. It would clearly be for Clowney. Not sure why Texans want to trade that far down, but that trade is a no brainer for the Bills. Hughes is a decent pass rusher but Clowney makes this a different defense. Not many obvious trade partners for Texans. St. Louis already has Quinn in Clowney role. Jacksonville, Oakland, and Cleveland all need QB's and probably aren't giving up picks for a non-QB. Atlanta makes sense but with Julio Jones trade still in rear view mirror, they're probably not gonna give up a lot of picks.
  11. Maybe Bills learned their lesson with Byrd. Trade him before he walks for nothing. There's no way Jackson is going anywhere. Guy is the heart and soul of the team. He'd be fighting for extra yards in a wheelchair.
  12. Experts seem to think this is a deep draft for WR's. Wouldn't rule out pass rusher like Barr at #9 or Mack if he falls. Get your big WR or TE in the 2nd round.
  13. Marrone and O'Brien are good friends. Probably doing each other a favor by floating this rumor. Could see truth in Texans wanting to trade down and Bills wanting to trade up. If you want Clowney, it shows you'll have to do business with Houston instead of St. Louis. For Bills, it makes Rams pick potentially cheaper if they're trying to move up.
  14. Doubt they'd do this for a QB. That would be giving up on Manuel. Also doubt they'd do it for Clowney, a guy who has questionable desire. My guess is Robinson, who some are mentioning in the same vein as Orlando Pace.
  15. Between Chris Williams, Graham, Rivers, Spikes, Dixon, Chandler, and Carpenter, do the 7 of their guaranteed contracts add up to Byrd's?
  16. Considering our CB situation is solid and cheap for at least the next 2 years with McKelvin, Gilmore, and Robey, Bills wouldn't be blowing budget on secondary if Byrd signed in the $10m per year range.
  17. Would probably take more than our 2nd rounder to go up to #2, but I still wouldn't use my 1st and 2nd round picks for someone who's not a QB.
  18. I'd trade up to the 6th or 7th pick for Watkins or whomever is left from Robinson or Matthews. Bills need a #1 WR and OT is a need plus team is screwed if something happens to Glenn. Wouldn't cost more than a 3rd or 4th round pick.
  19. Kudos to Bills on this one. I'd rather lose the team playing 8 home games. 1 Toronto game accomplishes nothing other than giving up a home game, lining Ralph's pockets, and letting him pretend he's some kind of benevolent business-man. This BS could all have went away if Ralph made assurances Bills would stay in Buffalo when he's gone, but that might mean he's leaving $100m on the table. Heaven forbid.
  20. I highly doubt he chooses Cleveland. Raiders, Jacksonville, and Cleveland probably only franchises Bills can actually look down on.
  21. How about putting Donald at MLB on run downs and DT on passing downs? He would've been one of the fastest MLB's at the combine. New age Levon Kirkland.
  22. So Bills get to tag Byrd this year at the same price it would've been if they hadn't tagged him last year. For next year, is it 44% more than the 1st year he was tagged or 44% more than the 2nd year? Not like Byrd is old in football years, but I assume he'd get a bigger deal this year than next year the further he is from 30. If Byrd believes he might be tagged next year too, he'd have more incentive to get a long-term deal done now.
  23. I'd be really happy with Matthews, Robinson, Watkins, or Mack at #9. After that, I'd be happy with Donald or Lewan.
  24. Not sure how we pass this guy up at #9. He's a longer, faster, Kyle Williams. Not a need position, but outside of some of the OT's, guy seems like the surest thing.
  25. What's the point of taking a Tight End when you can get WR's that size with better ball skills and speed?
