  1. Seems like Manuel doesn't have that fire in his belly and plays overly cautious. Good to be a cool customer but sometimes you gotta just let it loose. In that regard, Manuel could learn a lot from watching Tuel. Guy doesn't have half the talent of Manuel, but he plays with no fear and lets it rip.
  2. Not sure how you do a valuation without some kind of numbers projection. Jags and Cleveland are the 2 most recent sales but those were 2 years ago. I suppose you could use Bills current revenue and compare it to Jax and Cleveland's revenue from 2 years ago and corresponding sale price to come up with a valuation, but that's basically meaningless to anyone who doesn't plan on keeping Bills in WNY.
  3. Would love to know how Morgan Stanley is handling the valuation. I assume all numbers and projections are based on keeping Bills in Buffalo and playing in renovated Ralph. How would you make valuation projections based on moving the team to 'fill-in-the-blank' city with a stadium not yet built.
  4. Once she gets her $1B+, I hope she forks over a nice chunk of change for a new stadium to put Ralph's name on it for the next 30-40 years.
  5. Can't begrudge the guy. If he saved his money, he doesn't have to work anymore. With his punishing running style, he probably doesn't want to end up like Earl Campbell.
  6. Maybe the Forbes article is wrong, but it clearly states that Pegula is the controlling owner of East Resources. He didn't sell East Resources to Royal Dutch Shell in 2010, he sold Marcellus assets. This is different land.
  7. Unless assets are publicly traded or involve a recent sale, forbes doesn't know much more than you or me. According to them, clippers were worth $500m until Ballmer paid $2b for them.
  8. Uber now valued at $17.5B after new round of financing. Sacca was an early investor. Guy seems to have magic touch. Would love a young, energetic owner with ties to WNY.
  9. Does seem a bit strange. Maybe if Ralph borrowed money against the team, the debt had to be settled up following a change of ownership which this would qualify as.
  10. Kind of funny that Ralph supposedly drove around in a Taurus but had $30-40m worth of artwork hanging on his walls.
  11. I don't have a problem with Sullivan's article. I wouldn't cut Dareus, but don't mind a local sports-writer calling him out publicly.
  12. I was feeling pretty good about Bills staying in Buffalo until this absurdity. Thank god none of these rumored Toronto people have that type of crazy money to throw around. Hope Bills get sold soon. Only a matter of time before NFL is back in LA if the Clippers are worth $2B.
  13. Exciting time for Buffalo. I hope people appreciate this once-in-a-couple-generations opportunity, and that the decision-makers don't screw this up. Unless NFL promises a Super Bowl for a Niagara Falls stadium, can't see how downtown area isn't best location.
  14. Gotta be the Boss. Springsteen would be a perfect fit for the blue collar Bills.
  15. I think the boycott is great. It's blue collar, loyal Bills fans who've supported the team for 50+ years vs. a big hair pop-rock artist who sold out a long time ago and wants to take their team away from them. These people don't have the money that Bon Jovi has but the optics are horrible for him.
  16. Interesting that the dinner meeting happened right before the draft. Maybe it was Brandon running by the draft strategy with the new ownership group. All the tea leaves are pointing to Bills being sold very soon and that the new owner is probably already known.
  17. I was for a Niagara Falls stadium until I read this. Writer brings up a lot of good points. Region desperately needs a vibrant downtown area. Bringing 70k+ to the downtown area helps even if it's only 10 times a year.
  18. I'd hope the new ownership group has deep enough pockets to simply write a check instead of financing any of the purchase price. Millstein's bid for Redskins was supposedly shot down for financing the purchase price. And if the funding of the Ralph improvements is any hint NY State and the local governments will fund the lion's share of a new stadium.
  19. Can't see how Pears makes the team at his current salary.
  20. Peerless was a 2nd rounder and played well. Donahoe actually got a 1st rounder for Peerless from Atlanta where he was a disappointment.
  21. What is the point of writing this article after the draft? I can at least respect the si.com article raising questions before the draft. ESPN jumped the shark a long time ago. They are Disney's cash cow and 90% of what they spew is bottom-line driven and to get clicks.

  23. I think the Milstein news today makes Niagara Falls site more likely. Would look too shady if Milstein buys the Bills, then Cuomo and the local politicians hand over hundreds of millions in taxpayer money to build a stadium on his land. People would go more nuts than they already would have when new stadium is heavily taxpayer-subsidized
  24. NCAA is a farce so not worried about him running into problems with them. Not like he was arrested or anything like that in college. Seemed like he had some growing up to do but haven't read anything yet that suggests he's a bad guy. More worried about his fumbles.
  25. On buffalobills.com. Surprised how forthcoming article was.
