  1. Josh was making me nervous the whole game. Wonder which Josh will show up next week?
  2. Best Post of 2022 right there. The best part was those old heavy cardboard (?) cases with the bifold tops. You could also use them as a step stool.
  3. I would definitely have a back up plan in case it’s not on Audacy. NFL+ is $5 a month or $13 for the rest of this season into July next year. Since NFL+ offers the radio feed on the $5 plan, they restrict the games from being broadcast on mobile for the most part.
  4. And how many snowballs will be raining down?
  5. Agree. I think there’s a 7-day free trial and it might only be $5 or $10 a month with no term commitments. The Audacy app may or may not carry the game if you are on a phone. Last week it did not so I used NFL+
  6. During the blizzard of 77, we dragged a sled 1/2 mile to the store to get a case of Genny Cream Ale pounders every day. This generation is soft. Now get off my lawn and stop throwing snowballs at my house.
  7. Get an antenna from Walmart? Are you within broadcast range for channel 4?
  8. How well I know. I was at the game in 1975 when Chuck Forman got hit in the eye and they took him out of the game. Even as a 16 year old kid, I didn’t think it was cool. Just because dumb stuff has been done for 50 years doesn’t make it ok to continue.
  9. I’d guess the future action (penalty) will be just what they did for this game - stop play for a bit and make announcements. Making people stand around waiting for the game to resume will be enough to deter the worst of it.
  10. That’s what you’ll have if you go to the game in Chicago Saturday.
  11. This isn’t about throwing snow into the air like confetti. That was cool and looked amazing. The fact you are conflating throwing snow in the air and throwing snowballs at Sal on the sidelines or the camera guy on the cart shows you know you’re wrong.
  12. So if you go to a restaurant and there’s a knife on the table, is it ok to throw it at the person at the next table?
  13. Besides the ignorance of this post, the issue is people on the sidelines and elsewhere trying to do their jobs and getting hit in the head or face with a wet snowball is ridiculous. The “snow”balls landing on the field weren’t soft, fluffy snow; they were dense enough to survive the impact of landing and there were many snowballs still intact on the ground. People with the “me first and only” attitudes just can’t fathom thinking of others, much less other’s rights to not be assaulted with projectiles.
  14. I’m 63 and broken down, but if Josh went to McKenzie instead of me down the seam, I’d throw my Depends at him.
  15. I have the same issue. Have been researching online and am adjusting the judder control by turning off the motion smoothing. Most TV manufacturers have their own name for the feature. I notice a lot of pixelation on games broadcast over the air. Hoping the judder adjustment corrects that too. I have a Samsung that is about 7 years old with a 60hz refresh rate. Very disappointed with this TV from the start.
  16. Clearly this was just a LAMP intended to give the OP a reason to say “whilst”. He can’t help himself. It’s sad, really.
  17. Ya know, if they would build a dome, we wouldn’t have to worry about snowballs being thrown on the field. Dildos still pose a problem though.
  18. The NFL used to assess delay of game penalties when the crowd was too loud for the offense. Now, fan noise is encouraged. Soon, fans will be able to throw snowballs, dildos, and other paraphernalia on the field and even at running players.
  19. From the article: ”McGinest has been working as a football analyst in retirement ... most recently breaking down games for NFL Network.” After breaking down that guy’s skull, he may be getting the Harrison Phillips butt crack treatment in prison.
  20. The Boston Globe, quoting Belichick’s answer about the lateral plays at the end of the game: “We made a mistake on the play.” His message to the team: “We have to eliminate those mistakes. Keep making the good [decisions] and stop making the critical bad ones.” On why he took a timeout when the team was on the goal line in the first half: “We didn’t really have the play right,” he said. “We didn’t have the play right, so I took the timeout.” (They had scored a TD on this play) https://www.bostonglobe.com/2022/12/18/sports/patriots-raiders-live-score-news/
  21. Every time I see that stadium, I like it more. And I’ve been there for the infamous J17 hurdle game.
  22. Have you tried downloading the spectrum app and seeing if you can get the game that way? Then mirror to your tv.
  23. One way or another, this will be a game we remember and talk about for a generation.
  24. For us old farts - the game where the Bills nearly ruined Miami’s perfect season. https://youtu.be/3frvBR0VEEs
  25. I would say when the players busses pull in and the lights at the stadium are off?
