I’m waiting to see if he can turn Genny Cream Ale into Heady Topper. Then you’ll all change your tune.

They ridiculed a carpenter 2,000 years ago and put him to death for his views. Be very careful DD. Watch your back. This place is the best!

He needs attention. I say we give it to him here before he goes and jumps through a flaming folding table. Is that what you want to happen??

WFUV and KCRW. Thank you internet. Syracuse commercial radio is horrible.

Songs that are Christmas songs...
WotAGuy replied to ExiledInIllinois's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Love dark Christmas songs -
My take away is he lacked confidence in his offense to get one yard, and lacked confidence in his defense to keep Indy from moving from their own 41 into field goal range. So he took the ball out of the offense’s hands, pinned Indy down deep and hoped they screwed up. Which they did by missing that pass to Hilton. He was banking on a miracle and got it with that pass from Webb to Thompson.

Why didn't the Bills lose as EXPECTED in 2017?
WotAGuy replied to Punt75's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes. The Bills got very lucky. And as we’ve seen, once the Bills luck ran out, so did the turnovers and wins. Look, all I’m saying is this - in response to the OP - the Bills were expected to lose but they haven’t lost as much as expected. I’m saying that’s because they played a bunch of teams that played poorly, turned the ball over, and gave the Bills some unexpected wins. -
I didn’t agree with the call when he made it. But despite the rationale he gave, I think it came down to he felt he couldn’t risk turning the ball over at the Colts 41 because he just watched his defense get shredded on a 19-play, 10-minute drive. He probably felt safer giving them the ball deep in their own end and hoping for a miracle. He got it.

Why didn't the Bills lose as EXPECTED in 2017?

Atlanta had three turnovers. How many teams win when they have three turnovers? Bucs and Falcons both had three turnovers. No, they didn’t play well. -
Do you remember the first football game you went too?
WotAGuy replied to Another Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is my earliest game memory too. Biggest impression was how dingy and depressing the stadium was and then to catch a glimpse of the bright green field and to see the Bills uniforms in color instead of B&W. Bills lost 48-6. -

That’s exactly what I’m saying. When was the last time the Bills beat a team that played really well? -

It means good teams beat teams that play well against them. This week Pittsburgh beat Cincy even though Cincy played very well against them. The Bills haven’t been able to do that for years. The Bills only win when the other team plays like crap or self destructs. If the opponent plays well - the Bills lose. Period. That’s how you end up 8-8 or worse every year. The Bills of the 90s could beat teams even when their opponent played their best. -
I was at this game and was 15. It seemed like a blizzard most of the game. I remember my father wore just a top coat and he was freezing the entire game. My buddy’s father sent him with a wine skin full of hard cider. He got obliterated - I had some of his Dad’s hard cider a year later. It was potent. I think we ended up at Bailos after the game for a beef on week. Nasty weather that day.

Carolina is 8-4. And Philly has beaten several teams who played really well against them. -
Why didn't the Bills lose as EXPECTED in 2017?
WotAGuy replied to Punt75's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills didn’t lose as expected because 6 teams they played self-destructed with turnovers and/or very poor play. The Bills haven’t beaten any team that played well against them. -
So back in 2004, I’m Googling for a good retatta recipe......

What Bands Would Be Worthy of a SB Half Time Appearance ??
WotAGuy replied to T master's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Just saw him to Rochester this month. Great show, great band, he was having a blast. Crowd sang every song and never sat down from the time he first walked out on stage. Hes coming out with a new album in November I believe. -
Started 6th grade when Casey opened and went to North after that. Ive tried to find a reason why they had us swim naked but never found a good answer. Neither did this guy: http://www.chicagonow.com/open-heart/2014/08/swimming-naked-in-gym-class-really-happened/

You mean your 1993 Geo Metro?

There were many orange jerseys down low on the visitors side, so maybe on TV it looked like there were more than there were. It seemed about the usual amount for a successful team with a national following. The best part was when a Sheriff was hauling a Broncos fan out of the stadium. At the top of the aisle, the fan threw down his drink and it splashed all over. The Sherriff yelled "Now you're going to jail" and wrestled him to the ground in the tunnel leading into the concourse. His girl was screaming and crying to let her man go. This was shortly after White's interception. Made for a good day.

I wonder if the situation would be different if the Bills were halfway decent, making the playoffs now and then and occasionally a deep playoff run. If there was something to read about, maybe more people would be willing to fork over $3. Honestly, after this long of a drought, I've lost interest compared to the first 33 years of my being a fan. -
I don't remember ever crying over a Bills game, win or lose. But there are two times that do stand out: 1) I was 11 and my father got my mother and I tickets to the Bengals game in 1970. they were the most expensive tickets at the time - $7.00. We had them on the bulletin board in the kitchen for weeks and I would just stare at them. That seemed like an incredible amount of money then. The morning of the game, my father was having chest pains and decided he better not go to the game. He took me for a walk to break the news and I was devastated. Cried. A lot. Went to the game with my mother and sister (somebody had to use the ticket). OJ blew out his knee and the Bills got killed. I think I'm still scarred by that day! 2) AFC Championship game vs Raiders. Late in 4th Q and everyone in the stadium is going insane, knowing we were going to the Super Bowl for the first time. I remember looking up in the foggy sky, at the snow in the lights, and thinking about my Dad, who had passed in 1975. I definitely teared up - wasn't a full blown snot slurper, but it was pretty emotional. Other than that, it's been mostly head shaking for the past 17 years.
