If so, how does Collins worth have a job?

Winners and Losers from the first round (Non-Bills)
smward8 replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
You forgot Cincinnati - losers. The announcers were pretty dumb founded when they picked an OT with just 8 starts in college. They decided he must be a project - with a first round pick. Doesn't get much worse than that -
I think Torrence played EVERY offensive snap this year. Pretty impressive

I think I have something in my eye. Continue d thoughts and prayers

Yes, they do. Immobilized it, elevate it and start ice, etc to minimize swelling

JA Blend is really good! I got a mug, too

I'm pretty sure it takes some time for an offensive line with two new guys to really gel. Yesterday they looked a unit, not five guys trying to figure it out. Granted, Dallas is defense is shaped to beat the passing game since they expect to be playing with an early lead - too bad for them. That said, the Bills play calling was really good. Stuck with what was working, making Dallas have to adjust, then shifting to something else that worked, etc so they were on their heels allnight

Officials allowed the Chiefs to cheat the entire game
smward8 replied to Gisele's topic in The Stadium Wall
What is the exact rule regarding offensive players at the line of scrimmage? Is there some weird rule that allows the tackles to be that deep if a couple WRs are at the line? Regardless, the clips I've seen are beyond obvious - particularly the Oline movement before the snap -
Jamie Nails - pretty enormous guy. On one play, the play by play guy said something about a linebacker trying to run around him to get to the QB, and the color announcer said "If you run around that guy, you're going to be late" Jamie Nails - pretty enormous guy. Why is Tyrod Taylor not more revered in the Bills fan base?
smward8 replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
Tyrod didn't lose us many games, but he didn't win us many either. He was often too cautious, especially in the passing game. Granted, he didn't have a good set of receivers, but he was reluctant to try to throw to anybody either moving or not wide open. -
Not sure it's a top ten performance, but the second half against Tampa Bay was incredible. If it wasn't for a poor first half and some questionable officiating at the end, it would be one people would talk about for a long time. He put the whole team on his back and carried them to a big comeback. It showed his desire to win and his ability to elevate the play of both the offense and defense.

I think you're right. Somebody did an analysis of how Milan and Edmunds complicated other team's passing games because of their speed and athleticism. The D was built around slowing/stopping the quick passing game. However, the run defense suffered at times - particularly on draws and some misdirection plays. With Edmunds gone I think we may see more 4-3, with Bernard opposite Milano on the outside. Not sure who on the roster can be the MLB unless the think Dodson can do it. Not sure he's enough of a thumper to really take on linemen.

Something very different: who we really are. 😄
smward8 replied to Italian Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm Steve. I live in southwest Ohio, north of Cincinnati. I became a Bills fan when I went to the University of Buffalo in the late 70's. I watch the games at a local bar with about 100 of my closest Bills fans friends. One day, hopefully soon, I'll see the Bills win a Super Bowl. I'm 65, so it better be soon. -
I'm not buying the Shanghai votes. A great defense, really good multi purpose guys in Diego and, later in the year, CMC make it easier on a new QB. Ask Brady how many games the Pasties defense won

So, reading the board, we lost again. 3-11. Sigh.
smward8 replied to ChicagoRic's topic in The Stadium Wall
We aren't going to prevent teams from scoring at all, nor will we score on every possession (although we did it last year). I get as frustrated as anyone when our guys miss on a play, but eventually I let it go. The only things that really drive me nuts are stupid penalties, and bad calls by the refs -
The Bills won last night because... (karma reasons only)

I had my knee replaced that morning.
