  1. Pete Carroll was DB coach for Bills way back when...
  2. Wow, this is a very exciting move. After the rumor a few days ago, and then nothing, I thought maybe it was some guy on Twitter just messing with us Bills fans. Very happy to see this rumor come true.
  3. I was living in St Louis when the Rams picked him like 6th overall in the draft. He had domestic violence issues in college and afterwards. May his troubled soul rest in peace.
  4. Tebow could certainly excel at 2-point conversions the way he runs like a fullback in short yardage siituations.
  5. No, actually Mularkey falls under the lesser known Rummy Rule, which allows certain jackwagons to hang around the league and pretend to be qualified coaches.
  6. Except that he can catch the ball better than Marcus. Boykin had 38 catches (446 yds) for the Packers in 2014 when Cobb was hurt. BTW, Boykin is listed at 6'2", 215 lbs. This seems like a great pickup, especially with the Hokie connection.
  7. Jason Kidd: “We're going to turn this team around 360 degrees.” on joining the Dallas Mavericks.
  8. There is a great comment about Grigson on Deadspin: As I said in another thread, if your GM is inept enough at his job that he gets fleeced by the Browns in a trade (Trent Richardson deal), he deserves to be fired. Out of a cannon. http://deadspin.com/what-are-the-colts-doing-1751092649
  9. Under Windows 10, Microsoft has access to ALL OF THE DATA on your PC. They say that this is so Cortana can help you with all of your life events, etc.
  10. Chris Hairston and Cordy Glenn come to mind in the mysterious illness category. Why is it always happening to OTs??? Ex-Bear Jordan Mills came into the game at RT last week.
  11. Why the f^%$ didn't Carrington make the tackle on Tannehill on that play??? It looked like Carrington could have tackled Tannehill, but would have had to dive for him. Make the f#$%^&tackle, please Alex! Then Jerry would not have been able to hit him out of bounds.
  12. Thoughts? Get bent. If you are pissed about EJ Manuel, you may need to blame Buddy Nix instead. I think the Manuel drafting was Buddy's final act as GM. We will never really get the lowdown on who did what in that draft, but I think that was Buddy. After ignoring the QB position for his whole tenure (maybe), he HAD TO DRAFT A QB, and it was a lousy QB class to choose from. As for this "ego" thing, where do you get that crap? Is this about Bryce Brown perhaps?
  13. If anyone is interested in a recording of the Stones show at RWS, it is available here: http://bigozine2.com/roio/?p=2583 Right click on each song, and do Save Link As if you want to save the MP3 files (@ 224kbps). Roll on...
  14. Fantex, Inc.'s vision for a brand identity for EJ Manuel is to associate him as "fearless." Yes, it surely needs some updating of the numbers and the Brand Positioning "Fearless". His stock might need the assistance of the Plunge Protection Team.
  15. Well hey, the OP's been a Bills fan (or been alive) since 1972. You've got to let him express his feelings about his favorite team - you know, the team that pisses many of us off almost every Sunday. Let's "build a bully" and then wonder why you get an excessive number of penalty flags thrown your way! Duh, Rex.
  16. The CFL has instituted such a rule. I saw a receiver who felt he was wronged waving the "throw a flag" gesture. He "received" an "objectionable conduct" penalty. I think it was 15 yards. This must be a new rule in the last year or two. The CFL seems to be going the same over-officious route just like the NFL. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm not a fan of new NFL rules (good God), but one thing I would love to eliminate is players doing the "first down" signal. Jerks like Julian Edelman and Golden Tate seem to use it like a legal taunt. Just eliminate it.
  17. Plank holder? Were there just plank benches for seating at the Rockpile? Yes, those guys had day jobs back in the 1960s. Sestak and Maguire owned a restaurant/pizzeria at my corner in Kenmore. Butch Byrd (star cornerback) was an auto mechanic at the Chrysler dealer (Delaware at Hertel) where my neighbor worked. RIP Paul Costa, and condolences to his family.
  18. Great avatar, Thurmal34! I used to install those things on the assembly line at the Chevy plant on Delevan Avenue - it's a TIE ROD!
  19. Herb, this is a great place to be. Lots of knowledgeable posters, lots of great Bills info. You will find some petty bickering and a few always-negative posters, but you learn to ignore those folks. TSW is here for you 365 days a year (366 in a leap year). Welcome!
  20. I worked at the Delevan Avenue Chevy plant way back when. I spent 6 miserable months on the assembly line, attaching tie rods to the steering thingy. Hardest job ever, but paid big bucks.
  21. That's the gesture Bruce Smith used to do - with his hand clutched over heart. It was a Fred Sanford heart attack impression from Bruce!
  22. Wow, great stuff. And if you want to feel better, go check out the Jets or Redskins reviews!
