There was a game in recent years where Lee Smith caught a pass (!) and Chandler was blocking his guy, clearing a path for Smith to make a cut and extend the play. Chandler later asked Smith why he did not make that cut, since Chandler had his guy blocked. Smith's answer: I don't cut.

There are only so many franchise QBs to go around. Sorry, but we can not all have one. This year's draft has zero franchise QBs, according to the book of Mel. I don't know WHO is good at scoping them out in any given draft. A guy could likely make a fortune as a consultant if he could consistently pick franchise QBs out of the college crop.

These are just the large-print editions for the aging baby boomer NFL fans. I hope nobody is paying to have these hideous designs made up. In most cases, BARF-O!!! The white Packers and Patriots designs are particularly gross. Steelers? Ewwww. Houston Oilers again? WTF, did this guy miss the memo?

I recall rumors that drafting Lynch (and the 4th round RB from Fresno) were Ralph Wilson's doing, some would say meddling, since the GM should make those decisions. We will never know for sure but I do recall the rumor.

It's kind of morbid, but this is one of the most enjoyable threads I have seen in a long time, relishing the failure of the guy that took a sh&% on the football team we all love. Well, the crapper backed up and blew it back in Doug's face. This whole episode makes me wonder what made Bill Polian such a Doug Marrone fan. The "former NFL GM" in the linked article sounds like it just has to be Polian. Could this be a bit of a black eye when Polian's name comes up for Hall of Fame voting?

Sanchez seems to have no pocket awareness, no idea when pressure is coming. I was very disappointed to see the Eagles suck today, hoped they could beat out the Cowboys for the division. I guess not.

I hate to see the Cowboys succeed, but they really have put together a good OL. I always envy the way the Cowboys draft, develop, and use tight ends, too. Witten is great, but then they keep drafting guys pretty high (Escobar, etc). TEs can be a big part of a productive offense.

When they talked about Aaron Kromer (Bears OC) and how he had talked negatively about Cutler, the thing that amazed me was that he is also the Bears' offensive line coach! What kind of rinky-dink sh%$ is that?! The same guy as OC and OL coach? No wonder their offense sucks! It sounds like something the old cheapskate Bengals would do.

I think the Nix-Gailey gang was bound and determined NOT to take a QB in any of their drafts - because they had Fitz. NO F^%$Kin WAY will we take a QB...
