  1. it was still packed on the freeway right outside the arena during the game when they were showing shots on the TV
  2. tried Deschutes Hop Slice Summer Ale...not a fan. I might be biased thoufgh, as i dio not like much of their beers
  3. Funny, ESPN had a countdown clock to game start this morning. I am excited for the game...but 9 oclock starts means i will watch first half, go to bed, and watch 2nd half in the early AM
  4. Still need the QB to actually throw them the ball. I am a big Clay fan, and like big ole Nick as well. Sitting in the upper deck watching both of them run free without seeing the ball can drive ya nuts...and it drove me nuts.
  5. interesting..obviously, i do not know Petersen, but my gut(which is rather copious and most times wrong) told me if the NHL stayed away from the Olympics he would stay in school and play for the US. If this is true, think it helps that GMTM is gone and so is his loyalty to Lehner.
  6. Loved Deford and his work. I remember being crazy excited at College when USA Today was in the library to read everyday for national sports coverage. And then the National took it to another level.
  7. hmm, i think vast majority of p[layers take Sherman over Wilson as a teammate. Shocking that is from Richmond VA, where Wilson grew up and does not show up for the event run by ex- teammate and to help his hometown, but Sherman who grew in Compton does ...hmmm, People wonder why Wilson is not like here
  8. Me Too..wife is a Hokie fan, Pablo, you will learn.
  9. More personal than most Pooj, how long were you there? Not sure if I ever mentioned it, but I was an early and proud owner of a DIVX player.
  10. Ha..thats for Memorial Day...tonight is fried SoftShells with corn maque choux. But, I have made that Pork recipe at least 20 times...it is WONDERFUL.
  11. Pork Pernil https://www.cookscountry.com/recipes/7453-pork-pernil Black Beans and Rice Grilled Summer Squash and Zuccini
  12. Bought a new Explorer week before opener last year, close to 25K on it in 9 months...so not too bad. Be great if i could get Mr. Info to drive with us...but Mr. Snooty Pants only likes to fly BTW Tony prolly a crew going to Carolina...you in?
  13. Be more than happy to sell you my Large 10 year old egg...prolly cost more to ship than i would charge you to buy! I am open to bringing it to the opener if you are interested, shoot me a PM. Sure we can work out a price. Chef, hope you have come to successful conclusion this weekend! More than $20K what you were expected, you buying lobster for the the opener tailgate!
  14. The Monkey very good...until that 10% ABV knocks ya on yer arse!
  15. The problem with the $1 oysters is the $14 glass of wine that accompanies. Actually, our local oyster bar has $7 Prosecco on tap...goes well with the briny oysters
  16. Staying home and fighting with my son every hour to get back to studying, quizzing him every so often. Power washing the patio and trimming front landscaping. Cooking soft shells on Saturday night! Service at Va War Memorial Monday at 10.
  17. it is! That Explorer Model by Ford has been great! What sucks living in Richmond is it almost takes the same AM out of time to fly as to drive, so drive it is! Good thing is son has license now, so games he absolutely positively has to be in school on Monday he can drive five hours back and I got the last 3
  18. I have not listened to the above link yet, but see on the ESON scroll Vatanan and Lindholm both need shoulder surgery and both will miss start of next season. Hmm, wonder how that affects the Ducks plans and any potential trades involving their D
  19. I know folks think this was click bait and that Sherman is an ass, but I tend to believe it. Russ has proven to be a total douche and total phony, and let me tell you folks here in his home town of Richmond, and especially at Collegiate, where he went to school K-12 , he has gone from rock star to pariah in the last 5 years. He tells stories nationally about his parents "struggle" financially growing up...his dad was a very successful attorney. They were paying full boat at collegiate for 2 kids..about $40k a year for 12 years. He claimed to not be as accepted at a majority white school, he was class president and homecoming King. All this to make his story appear "harder" and how he has overcome adversity. And not to go all TMZ, but the stories about the truth behind how His first marriage ended are not all that flattering either , and certainly not in line with with chroir boy image. At all BTW, not one cent to one charity in Richmond, and he does not even do his QB camps here anymore cause he is just not well liked. I am guessing Sherman is correct here..
  20. I live in Richmond Va and promised my chucklehead son we would go to every game this year depending on his final grades this spring , and his grades/ work completion next fall.
  21. Does that make him an RFA or UFA next year?
  22. I did , and getting closer to my goal of 1st row upper deck between the 40. I think they are well under 50k for the year.
  23. Weird, my son and I watched Clerks last week, and he loved it. I have always been a bug Kevin Smith fan, and we watched Dogma last night. Man, she was young.
  24. I hope Bonino scores just so we get more of this. My son and I still say" bonino, bonino, bonino" every time he touches the puck.
  25. Heathers is awesome I liked Pump up the Volume as well. One movie that you can just never find in Gleaming the Cube...loved that movie in the 80,s as well
