  1. While i like Dazed and Confused..Its Breakfast Club all the way for me.
  2. Ha, much like unlimited vacation time, there is a reason for such " perks" , and it is not all about employee engagement. Stay in office for lunch? Prolly take 20 minutes as opposed to an hour break. 40 minutes a day of productivity worth a chit ton more than the cost of the lunch. Unlimited vacation and time off means no liability on the books for unused leave, and no payout when you move to another job. I work out of house, had a great BLT yesterday with the last of my DiCamillo bread....may be worth the 8 hour drive just to grab anoth r 12 loaves
  3. Couple of new ones this past week for me. Did break down and get a single of the Soutern Tier Lemon Dtop Sun, and really enjoyed it. Total Wine said no Hop Sun this year, so guessing this replaced it. Did end up buying another 6 yesterday. Aunt Sally from Languinitas..tart, sour, light..enjoyed it as well.. Finally, bought a twelve of 60 minute in the can yesterday! Prolly the beer I drink the most, and I am a big fan of beer in cans! Have not cracked the first one yet to report any difference, but will this evening at dinner time. Just excited it is in cans now!
  4. Thought it was awful( last season that is if Sherlock)
  5. Not sure if anyone has mentioned new season of Fargo yet. Just watched latest episode last night. Some nasty stuff, but damn I love that show.
  6. In case any one is interested, PBS ( at least here in Richmond) is airing 3 of the American Masters episodes that feature James Beard, Julia Child and Jacques Pepin. Watched the James Beard one, was very interesting. I really knew nothing about that dude axcpet his name was on restaurant awards...learn something new everyday. PBS tends to run things 100 times a week, so sure you can find on your guide. Also, for the folks who like the Bourdain, Zimmern type travel food shows, "I'll have What Phil is Having" is re-airing on PBS now as well. Phil Rosenthal was the lead writer on Everyone Loves Raymond...dude is just plain funny to watch and the show is fantastic. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/what-phils-having/
  7. He is in the middle of freakin PA, the land that time forgot...it's still $750 an acre.
  8. We do need a mercy rule here in these series
  9. Oh my, just saw the score. And while I detest all things Boston, I don't want them losing like this Just not painful enough. I want gut wrenching, shot the the balls losses. Matchups matter, and while the Zards could not get past the Celtics, think at least they be putting up a better fight here.
  10. The worst part about a sweep on both sides is there will be like a 9 day break between games...cant wait till the Finals..even more than the Cup, and I am a way bigger hockey fan
  11. Lord, you sound like my MIL...would rather let food get cold as she does the dishes just so she does not have to "face the dishes" after dinner. WTF, dishes are there to have an after dinner drink, do the dishes, and get ready for desert!
  12. Fowler or Nylander...sure seems like a nobrainer now, but maybe Nylander becomes a difference maker as well.
  13. Is that really a good thing? My crawl space is exactly that...a place to store chit and run wires/conduit etc. Could not give a damn what it looks like in there ..or spend one second cleaning it!
  14. All evens out in total cost per month to own the place don't ya think? BTW, I think at some point the tech money will dry up a touch, and think it inevitable prices in the Bay Area have to normalize a bit.
  15. I have always thought this would be a pretty cool side job.
  16. Dunking all the way for big chain coffee/ donut. Duck Donuts down here is the best, made as you order and you decide what toppings etc. BTW, 7-11 coffee and sour cream donut way better than anything at Krisoy Kreme.
  17. We are looking to sell our house in burbs of Richmond and significantly downsize In the city, but waiting for right beat up house in right location to make the move. Don't want to pay for something that has been upgraded but to something I will still rip out. So we wait Market is back to where it was in peak time price wise, but not near the craziness. Now our place in DC is up about 16% in two years. That place , like yours Chef, is all about location. Have no worries will always make money and be able to get out quick if need be. Place above us just sold, agent was disappointed took 6 days.
  18. I was just busting...but no Boston fans ever has a right to B word about ANYTHING after these last 20 years LOL
  19. Always surprises me to see a guy like Nick Backstrom go right from a crushing game 7 loss right to the Worlds. I think for the Euros, these trnys are not meaningless . Be interesting to see if Antipin signs or waiters till after the Olympics
  20. The Pox on all you Boston fans....have a feeling that's why we on a 17 years drought for the Bills...we have people on a Bills board rooting for all the evil and wrong with this world!!! Freakin that dude knocked the Wiz out...that dude?? jeez , I think I am the curse!
  21. I did not know about that...how do you do that as i am 100% on board
  22. i have the web subscription to all the websites...use it a ton. Fall all the Man V Food fans, that dude has lost like 100lbs...think he has a new show on somewhere. I never liked that show for some reason
  23. Should be fun tonight....someone has to win on the road no?
  24. By far my favorites, along with Project Smoke with Reichlin(sp) . I do miss Chris Kimball this season on ATC. I liked Secrets of a Resturant Chef with Anne Burrell when it was on as well.
