I will disagree whole heartily on KD and his competitive fire...but let us leave that be. What should he have done if he wanted to get out of OKC? Pretty well known he felt he could never win and more importantly never have played the style of ball he wanted with Russ on the team. Should he have stayed there only cause he was drafted there? Should he have gone to a team that he felt had no shot to compete for the championship? I see your side of the argument as well in terms of the superteams and can make the season a bit boring...but damn i love watching that team play.

I could not disagree more with this statement. Durant saw a team that was the epitome of unselfish play and all about winning, not about stats and hero ball, just like him. He knew it would not work with Russ in OKC, so he used his FA rights to go play for a team and style he wanted to be part of..good for him. Should none of the players that take less to play in NE get a ring? Should they be chastised as well for taking the easy way and playing for the super team? Should Brady not be roundly criticized for taking less than he could get? And in terms of the NBA playoffs being a joke, let's not forget a butt goal knocked out of mid-air and a missed call just decided the Stanley Cup...I love me the NHL, but the NBA is pretty awesome as well

See, I think the Warriors are built organically..and added Durant as KD loved the way they balled and wanted to be part of it. if he takes less than max this year, you know it's all about winning, which is what we have fans have always screamed...we want guys who value winning over money( me, i would value the money over winning) unless a Buffalo team).

Your boy West almost got kicked out! The Durant thing is interesting to me. Lebron has done the super team thing for 6 years, no worries I guess as there is an enemy in GS And the complaint about pro athletes, and NBA players, in particular, has always been they only play for themselves and the money...as referenced by your comments above. But then when a player plays unselfishly and makes a move to win a championship over taking max money...he is criticized. These guys just can't win some time with the fans. Nobody killing Brady, or Edelman, or any other Pat for taking less money to win a championship, but somehow Durant is getting killed for it. And the difference between max money with your original team and going to a new team is significant.

Sorry I missed this earlier, thank you for the info...much appreciated. so...is college hockey better than the NHL...cause in that 82 game NHL season, there are a bunch dog games...same as the NBA. 6 games in 10 days for the NBA can make for some tired ass players. I watch about 10 Wizards games a game a year tip off to buzzer, and parts of about 30-40 others....ain't no different than Sabre games in terms of the level of effort for a Wednesday night game middle of Feb. But much like the NHL..almost 100% of the games in the playoffs are max effort. Its not the players or the "want to" ..its the just the sheer number of regular season games.

Think if you were a30-year-oldd wide reciever with Sammy and a guy drafted in the 2nd round with huge upside on your team and you only had a a 1 year prove it deal as opposed to being the slated #1 guy with a two year guarantee... where would you go?

I don't know about that E...the Warriors play the most unselfish game in either level right now. I would rather watch them play than anything on the college level. Some will say they don't play "fundamental" basketball, but i think its great how they have changed the game and use the rules to their advantage.
