  1. The Bills are a running team (1st in the league), so should concentrate talent there. Passing game is anemic-- certainly can't depend on it to lead the offense.
  2. Or-- the Patriots know when to move on from players who are no longer at their peak. And they would never sign a guy like Dareus to the ridiculous contract the Bills gave him.
  3. McCoy is 29, and has had hamstring issues the past two years. What are the odds he plays 16 games? A quality backup is needed, nonetheless.
  4. It is amazing how a lousy team like the Bills is always in cap "jail," while the Patriots are far under and able to throw so much money around. I wonder who is to blame for the Bills' plight?
  5. McCoy is 29 (in July) and has had hamstring issues the last couple years. The Bills need a backup who can come in and start if/when he goes down. Small sample size, but I don't see J. Williams as that guy.
  6. Lattimore, Hooker, C. Davis, M. Williams, Mahomes (in no particular order).
  7. Of the top five QB's we all see listed, I would rank him last. In fact, he isn't in my top five.
  8. I think the earliest he goes is the 5th. Might be an UDFA.
  9. I didn't care for the way he mailed it in toward the end of the season.
  10. Signing high-priced FA's is really unlike them-- and not the formula for their success. They are acting like they haven't won anything and are desperate to make a run.
  11. Don't like a small, injury-prone receiver in the 1st. And I don't think Godwin will last that long.
  12. He's my 2nd round pick-- if they don't take a WR in the first.
  13. I guess I want a GM who knows what his duties are, and is competent enough to execute them. Whaley, particularly with his draft history, has shown he is not. As far as what he knew about Ryan-- or didn't, it is part of the job of a GM (normally) to be involved in major decisions, such as who is coaching the team. If he is "out of the loop," his power is already gone. Just the title remains. Now, he is not even going to address the media anymore-- including the draft luncheon. All he is currently is a glorified scout-- which is probably his proper niche in the NFL.
  14. As Whaley showed at his infamous press conference, he is not sure what his duties are (other than to execute Pegula's orders), or anyone else in the organization. He claimed to be out of the loop on the Ryan firing, and didn't know the reason for it. If McDermott is bringing in personnel from Carolina to help straighten out the mess here, I am all for it. Whaley should have been axed when Ryan was let go.
  15. I like the idea of getting the guy somehow (possibly trading back a bit?), but how many threads are needed to discuss the topic?
  16. Need players at the position, so good signing. Still need a couple more- at least (counting the draft).
  17. Maybe teams saw how he quit during the last part of the 2016 season.
  18. I posted on here a while back-- I would take Godwin in the 2nd-- if WR isn't addressed in the 1st.
  19. Bills have a QB who seems to have trouble finding his TE-- especially over the middle. You could trade back a bit and get Mahomes. I'm not sure how far his stock has risen, though.
  20. Great versatility and high character guy. Certainly don't expect last year's production (new system and role, as well)-- but depth at LB and DL is lacking. This is a step toward addressing that.
