  1. This is hilarious. They are interviewing country music star Jake Owen, who is a Titans fan, but it turns out his best friend and agent (Ando) is a lifelong Bills fan and he wound up telling stories about meeting Jim Kelly at a Payton Manning's retirement party in California. Kelly and his wife flew back to Buffalo with Owen and his buddy in Owen's private plane and he said they talked Buffalo Bills the whole time. Owen said that he is now cheering for the Bills to win the Super Bowl because of it. It was a fun interview to watch. Apparently Kelly gave Ando his money clip, which I am assuming was a Bills themed one. https://www.nfl.com/videos/jake-owen-shares-what-it-s-like-to-play-golf-with-peyton-manning
  2. Uh-oh, let's hope he doesn't bring cover with him like Veldheer did.
  3. This is so true. I understand that Mahomes won the Super Bowl and therefore deserves a major benefit of a doubt, but even when he has a bad performance, no one ever questions whether or not he is elite, but with Josh it seems like he constantly has to prove himself. It seems at this point, anything short of winning the Super Bowl will not be good enough for a majority of national analysts. We have won 2 playoff games against difficult opponents and all I keep hearing is yeah, they won, but... Before the Ravens game many of them picked the Ravens and went on and on about how elite Lamar was and how the Ravens were a legitimate threat to win the Super Bowl, but now, even though we beat them by TWO TOUCHDOWNS, they "experts" are saying it was because the Ravens offense is one sided and Lamar needs better receivers. Seriously? Last week they were praising them as Super Bowl contenders. I am glad the Bills seem to be using these doubters as fuel, because there is definitely a lot of fuel out there right now. My biggest fear for the game this week is that we will be playing agains the Chiefs AND the officials. The NFL would much rather have the Chiefs in the Super Bowl over the Bills. Buffalo vs. the world!
  4. The funny thing is, I don't mind it as a descriptor of the Bills fan base in general, but I don't use it to describe myself. But generally, I feel like our crazy fans need some sort of title and that one has a pretty good sound to it.
  5. Yeah, but in fairness, the Colts are, in my opinion, a much better all around team than the Ravens, especially on offense. The Ravens are too reliant on Lamar breaking contain and if you can take that away, they struggle. That being said, we have yet to play a complete game so far in the playoffs and I certainly hope we will see it this weekend.
  6. Yeah, I was just joking, I actually don't have a problem with him picking against us. He is actually one of the national commentators who watches our games and provides a great analysis of what we do right or wrong. It is easy to tell which ones only watch the highlights/lowlights and form opinions off of those few clips. He is definitely not one.
  7. I never said it was outrageous, but he would never go against his boy Tommy and he disrespects the Bills every chance he gets. Hence my Patriot* comment above.
  8. I just heard Willie McGinnest on NFL Total Access say that the only way the Bills have a chance against the Chiefs is to run the ball. He said their passing game is too high powered for us to keep up. He also said the Bucs and Chiefs would be in the SuperBowl. Once a Patriot* always a Patriot*.
  9. Did he happen to mention that he picked the Ravens to win the game?
  10. Easy. Just have one of them create a “charity” wink wink, and we will all donate to it. Problem solved.
  11. Actually, this wasn't my thread. The mods merged 2 threads together for some reason. My thread was about Baker Mayfield and football commercials in general. I appreciate your enthusiasm though.
  12. Do you honestly think this team would overlook the defending SuperBowl Champions in the AFC Championship game with 2 weeks to prepare for the next game if you win?! They will be 100% focused on this game, regardless of who the QB will be. (p.s. It WILL be Mahomes)
  13. I don't think he is a terrible QB, but he is definitely not as good as the elite QB's he is often compared to. (including Allen). He is a unique talent, who will be able to exploit undisciplined Defenses for a few season with his speed, until he takes one too many hits and loses that edge. I don't think he will ever be able to transform into an elite pocket passer, which is why he is just good, not elite.
  14. Hmm, sounds fishy to me. I have also heard them say he had the wind knocked out of him. There is no way they stop him from playing in a premier game like this one.
  15. This! He can do an add for Farmers Insurance, standing in a cantaloupe field (whatever that looks like) wearing overalls. In the background there will be the broadside of a barn with a bunch of footballs imbedded in it and he can say, "see, I can hit the broadside of a barn".
  16. Mine too! I am hoping they do more of those. They are hilarious.
  17. I heard an update on NFLN this morning where they said that Mahomes acted like that yesterday because he got the wind knocked out of him on top of the concussion. The spin begins...
  18. No, sorry. 2 topics got merged together. I was referencing commercials played during football games in general, not ones with players in them.
  19. That is far from true. So many commercials now are filmed since covid and many of them either address covid directly or at least refer to it. Commercials now very often include social distancing or reference being quarantined.
  20. The commercial I most want to see. At home with Baker Mayfield: For the rest of the season... watching football on TV. By the way, on a separate note, why do football commercials suck so badly now? It used to be a bunch of great beer commercials, and now the only entertaining ones are insurance commercials, and saying they are entertaining is a stretch. Has the target market really gotten so old that insurance is more important than beer?
  21. I only opened this thread to use my first puke emoji. Why torture yourself and others with hypotheticals like this? Just enjoy the moment.
  22. Oh, I am guessing this will be a fun thread. 😃
  23. That excuse holds no water. He was throwing to one of the best TE’s in the league. We just made a better play.
  24. He has to clear the protocol, which he could by the rules. I don’t see the NFL keeping their golden boy off of the field.
