It’s so stupid. I think people don’t like his attitude but when he is right, he is a top 10 qb. He plays with a lot of crappy receivers too. im hard on Allen but if he comes close to being like Newton, I will put him on the Wall of Fame myself. Or their awesome defense. the funniest thing about the Panthers that year is Benjamin missed the entire year and Newton won the MVP with Ted Ginn as his top receiver. Then we traded a pick for that slob.

Except the whole MVP 15-1 SB season, multiple playoff berths, and rookie passing records. Some of you are comparing Allen and his 65 qb rating to Hall of Famers and trashing Newton. So dumb. If Allen is 80% as good as Newton, he will the second best qb in Bills history. Haha. It would be so bad to have Allen be Cam Newton. But man, this dude has problems if he can’t get it together for millions of dollars. I feel like we will read about him in a few years and it won’t be good. that said, sign him to a future’s contract! Our “culture” will get him back on track.

Haha, holy hyperbole Batman. fox sports and Skip Bayless takes are where it’s at!!! and of course this is the gameplan. It’s the Mile Vick plan. He will dominate for 8 games, teams adjust, and then he struggles. For Allen to take the next step, even though he has never thrown an inaccurate pass according to some posters , he needs to a much better pocket passer. He certainly has the ability so I hope it happens.

His last preseason game. and how did that compare to Peterman’s game against the Ravens? I’d be furious if I was EJ. Peterman was literally the worst QB I have ever watched play on the nfl. I didn’t even get mad when he played because it was funny how bad he was. Basically, they think Buffalo is a joke at developing qbs (which it has been) and they think they can improve under them. And Fitz played pretty well this year. Their defense was awful.

Allen has multiple games of throwing for under 100 yards and probably should have been benched against GB or Tennessee (he was awful). But it as I said before, I thought Rosen would be further along and he hasn’t been. But I’m not making any proclamation about any of these guys yet, except maybe Mayfield. Hard to talk about how bad Rosen has been when our qb has a lower qb rating. I will say that Allen is a real threat on the ground so at this point, I would rank him higher.

Obviously, he’s never going to live up to his draft selection but it doesn’t really make sense. His rookie year stats would place him second in this year’s group. I’ll admit I really rooted for the guy but I think he is getting screwed. Peterman is one of the worst qbs in the history of the nfl.

Haha, I was thinking the same thing. EJ’s last game action in the nfl was 18-22 for 225 yards and 3 tds. He’s not white. I’m kidding but I don’t think Grudsn has ever had a black qb.

Their ability to scout receiver talent has been awful to be kind. Thats why I don’t get the pass they get. Daboll might have as much say in offensive personnel as any OC in the league. He thought Peterman was good enough and that we didn’t need a 3rd qb. He helped cut Foster. Again, and it’s nothign personal, but I can’t believe the pass he gets. Is it because we are Bills fans and don’t deserve good football? I like wins but celebrating a 14-13 “comeback” win over a crap team will hopefully be something we can stop doing in the future. Haha, I’m guessing you don’t like Rosen. How anyone can try to project this guys at this point is crazy. The only one I can say 100% I feel like is a definite franchise guy at this point is Mayfield, and I won’t be shocked if he did something dumb and get in a bunch of trouble.

Let me preface this by saying I don’t question Daboll’s football knowledge. I’m sure he is a very smart guy and I respect any local, despite his terrible high school, getting so far in his profession. But man, talk about excuse making. 1 - Bama’a offense was better before and after he was there. 2 - his nfl resume is terrible minus NE 3 - do people not think the OC on a team with a defensive head coach doesn’t have a big say in personnel? Instead of picking 2 undersized, not special slot receivers, he could have picked St Brown of ND who is getting time with the packers? hes not going to get fires because SM would look awful. But sorry for expecting more than 2 tds a game. But all I heard all offseason was anyone would be better than Dennison. Well guess what? Our offense is worse.

He was throwing for 5,000 yards when guys were struggling to get to 3,000. It was so much harder to pass the ball in the 90s. I know those names and respect the history. I’ll be honest, I really only think about modern Bills. Since Kelly, we might have had the worst qb play in the nfl next to the Browns.

I think this point is very overrated. The Titans kept Mularkey for Mariota and he was horrible. The Bucs did the same thing for Winston and he regressed. Get the best coach.

The greatest thing about this franchise is the ability to find running backs and cornerbacks. Too bad it’s not quarterbacks. Hopefully, it is changing.

He has Byron Leftwich as his OC. And they averaged 1.5 points less than us and Allen has a great defense that keeps us on every game. They are such different QBs too. But yeah, I definitely thought Rosen would be further ahead than Allen at this point, and the fact it is close, is a tip of the hat to Allen. that said, throwing a party with for a qb with a QBs rating in the 60s is a bit silly. But without a doubt, Allen is a more exciting qb at this point.

He definitely improves with those guys but I still think it is a significant drop off from what Mahomes is doing. I think Mahomes is trying special. He makes those touch crossing passes that few qbs can make. He only runs when he absolutely needs to. also, I’ve seen Mahomes do it before he played for KC. He put up video games numbers and dominated in college. That was another knock I had on Allen. He rarely had monster games in college. And while I’m fairly happy with how he is progressing, the ceiling seems to be 2-3 tds. If the team improves, perhaps that will be raised. Now to flip the script: what do you think the Bills record would be with Mahomes? I think he would benefit from having a top defense instead of one of the worst ones. I do also realize the offensive talent is worse on our team but I believe we would be a playoff spot with him. The same front office that drafted Allen (and please don’t pretend like it was Whaley) traded up to draft Zay. That doesn’t worry you?

I think you underestimating how much Arizona sucks. I also feel like you would work much harder to defend Rosen (how much his oline sucks, Fitz can’t get separation anymore, 1st time Head coach and OC) if we drafted him like you do with Allen. but I definitely expected more from Rosen at this point. But both of these guys have worse numbers than EJ as a rookie, so there’s a long way to go. I hope Allen proves to be the better Josh and #freeEJ

Haha. I do wish there was a way to credit PI for both the qb and wr. They are huge plans and Allen/receivers deserve credit for them. its also what I hate about conservative coaches. The nfl wants you to throw and call penalties. They should take deep shots on almost every series.
