  1. When was the last top 10 qb who was a 56% passer from a sub power 5 conference? It’s not a made up narrative.
  2. Well, this would certainly be a hell of a plot twist. This would be the greatest 30 for 30 ever.
  3. They traded for Benjamin and Matthews, traded up for Zay (instead of JuJu or Kupp), and drafted Ray Ray over ESB.
  4. RI is an idiot. Kicked out of multiple colleges and off multiple nfl teams. Just a dumb meathead. Martin was sheltered and Stanford is like the last school that actually holds their athletes strive for academic success. It was just an awful mix.
  5. This board is filled with posters who would get upset with Elvis’ hips being shown on tv. Explains PPP. Do you?
  6. Players loved Dick Jauron. Micah Hyde compared Peterman to Brett Favre. It’s what players do.
  7. I just want some more impact plays for that much money. I feel like a space eater can be found for cheaper.
  8. I just don’t think that fair to Allen. That is complete projection on just potential but he’s never really had dominant performances consistently. Newton has set records, won championships, MVPs/ Heisman, and went to a SB. I really don’t see how Allen tops that. That’s really, really good. and I’d argue that Newton’s highs have been better than Rivers. I mean he still won’t be the guy I would have picked. So I can’t just pretend like I love him. But he has the right attitude and all the skills. I just get sick of hoping all the potential comes together. I also think we could have a better and successful OC for him but we will see.
  9. I honestly wonder if They didn’t invest so much into Wentz, what they would do? And this would a pick up I would make if I was Miami or a team like that? See if Foles is legit anywhere besides Philly. If not, you have a veteran mentor for a rookie the following year.
  10. Always I respect your point of view. I responded to a bunch of this in the thread earlier. i do think you are a lot more optimistic about this new regime and are hoping for the best, which I am too but I just see some major red flags. Their ability to scout wrs has been horrible. Their plan of going into the season with Peterman/ Allen was horrible. The red flags on Allen, despite the fact he was definitely exciting to watch, were pretty consistent. I worry that he will ever be a guy that can consistently win from the pocket. The scrambles will take their toll and DCa have an offseason to gameplan on him. I called this the Mike Vick syndrome. Vick could light up the nfl for like 8 games and then with more film on him, he would struggle. i didn’t like the Allen pick. I believe if he was on another team, we would be much more critical of him. That said, hopefully they build the offense around him and figure out how to get some real playmakers. I do believe we will have a good idea what we have by this time next year and if he isn’t the guy, there are some good prospects that will be out then. Hopefully, he is.
  11. They were like 6-2 before the bottom fell out. I think Cam’s shoulder killed their down field passing attack.
  12. Is a teammate going to say their teammate isn’t worth the money?
  13. Cam had his highest completion % this year at 68%. And this was with a shoulder issue. I think he is undervalued here because people don’t like his attitude. JMo, we are doing Allen a disservice to compare him to Cam. Cam is awesome. but your point about the physical aspect of the game hurting Newton is very valid. And it’s something, as great as Allen is at running, he needs to be careful about. No matter how big and strong you are, those hits catch up to you. You still need to win primarily from the pocket.
  14. JuJu looks like a #1 receiver. He would be a big reason why they would trade Brown. Zay looks like a #3 on a good team. It was a dumb trade up.
  15. This is why I didn’t like the signing and feel it’s outdated thinking (though I love Samoans). He is a one dimensional player that can be schemed off. I’d rather have a couple of DTs, run stuffer and pass rusher, than one Star. He certainly helped with the run defense but he rarely made impact plays. he is good at his role. However, his role just isn’t important anymore. He probably won’t get on the field if we played the Chiefs.
  16. JuJu is a better player than Zay. I can’t believe this is even a debate. Of course this board thinks Josh Allen would be doing the same as Mahomes if he was on KC.
  17. Haha, Daboll Head coaching candidate!!!
  18. JuJu has been awesome since college. Myself and other posters badly wanted the Bills to draft him. Zay can be a productive member of this team but it’s going to be hard for it to not be a bad trade. There is nothing special about Zay. He is Josh Reed.
  19. Cam Newton is completely undervalued on this board. He is a top 10 QB. If Allen is 75% as good as Newton, it will be a great pick. Cam, despite his flaws, has been really, really good since college.
  20. Honestly with all the rule changes, it’s basically impossible to be super innovative on STs. Just don’t be awful. I will say teams are drafting punters and kickers more than ever so that might be something to keep an eye on. Sucks to spend a draft pick on that but Seattle drafted a pro bowl P who really helped their team.
  21. We had one of the best rbs in the nfl to check down too. McCoy was really, really good before last year. A coach at UND and Wyoming had 2 top 10 drafted qbs in 3 years. I think he deserves some credit for that. I do do get what you’re saying about developing qbs in college however. But wasn’t one of the pluses about Allen is that he played in a pro system in college?
  22. Yup, it’s sad. Hell, UB’s coach has a better resume than him.
  23. I always felt bad for the guy. He seemed like a Jauron guy who everyone likes but it’s because he was so nice. Plus, he had that awful thing happen with his son. I like having former head coaches on the staff so I’d welcome it.
  24. You’re the guy (and I do get why and I used to do it too) that ignores years of statically evidence because you want to believe Allen isn’t inaccurate. While there are are plenty of cases of inaccurate colleges qbs getting drafted high and busting, ill point to one who ended up with a borderline HOF career. McNabb had a very good career and I’d gladly have Allen come close to his level. But he struggle with throws that stopped him from becoming a consistent top 5-10 guy. And it wasn’t because of lack of arm strength. He would skip screen passes. He would sail 10 yards passes. There is so much more to be an accurate qb. It’s throwing to guys in space and putting touch on a ball to let them catch and run. Allen is basically a fastball pitcher right now. I agree with a lot of your post. I’d also like to point out that Allen’s coach at Wyoming was Carson Wentz’ college coach. Imo, touch passes are tougher for strong arm qbs than bombs. EJ actually threw a nice deep ball when he just let it rip. He then tried to aim the ball on shorter throws. JP was great on deep balls and sucked on the short throws. Allen has natural arm talent and has relied on it for so long. But those touch passes or taking something off a football are harder for a guy like that than someone like Brees, who doesn’t have a cannon.
