You can do this for every qb in the nfl. And it’s not like he was a 65% passer in the Mountain West and had a tough year as a rookie on a bad offense. Two journeymen qbs signed off the street (Anderson and Barkley) completed 60% of their passes at a higher ypa than Allen. They must have just gotten better receivers who won’t drop the ball. he is a rookie so he won’t be written off. But a top 10 pick qb should elevate the talent around him. 52% is terrible in today’s nfl and I’m sure if you asked Allen, he needs to improve instead of just blaming his receivers. And there is no downside to him working out with Palmer. I have zero questions about Allen’s work ethic. But why do people treat him like a qb guru? Who else has he ever worked with?

Shady McCoy on ESPN First Take

They should have traded him when he had value. Now, he will be cut and we will get nothing. Always sell high on a RB. -

Great running back but I’ll be happy when McCoy isn’t the face of the franchise. -
Jim Kelly would complete 65% of his passes in this area. It’s a complete invalid comparison from today’s nfl to Jim Kelly’s. Its also makes what Dan Marino did so special as a passer. Now, Matt Stafford can pass for 5,000 yards. Its not normal to have a 52% passer in a league where the average starter is probsbly at around 63%. He’s a rookie but these excuses are mind numbing. He needs to become a better passer.

90s Bills legacy in serious jeopardy next year...
C.Biscuit97 replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There is no comparison between us and NE. They are in the middle of one of the greatest runs in pro sports history. We are the “lovable” losers. the funniest thing is if the Bills ever make the SB, everyone except the rival fanbase would root for them. -
I got back and forth on this. I hate the game getting decided by a coin flip and the MVP of the league not touching the ball. However, it’s still a team game. If KC’s defense wasn’t total ?, they could have stopped NE and gotten good field position like the Rams did. Id say leave it the way it is. KC needs to get a better defense. They wasted a SB year by their qb and offense.

Was Baker Mayfield a DOUCHE Yesterday?
C.Biscuit97 replied to Johnny Hammersticks's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So if Daboll or McDermott get fired, you would be cool with Allen doing this? Like I said earlier, I’m tough on Allen but I really respect the way he handles his critics. Its tough because obviously this is fuel for Baker. But what goes around, comes around. -
Do I think Mahomes would have 50 tds here? No. But I think it’s so lazy to pretend like he won’t have been a really good qb anywhere. Also, since Reid traded up to get him, that means he saw a very talented prospect. Mahomes passed for 284 yards in his only start as a rookie, more than Allen had in any start this year. Mahomes carried the 2nd worst defense to OT of going to the SB. Bills fans need to just admit we passed on the next great qb. Given some of their other offensive moves, it is very fair to question their offensive player evaluation “process.”

Marshawn Lynch on Bill Maher's TV Show Tonight on HBO

Well said. It’s embarrassing how angry people get arguing over a system which has one more choice than a dictatorship. So dumb. It’s bloods and the crips for dorks. if one of the first things you state about yourself is your policial party, you’re probably a huge tool. -

Yeah, it definitely seems to help him that he thinks everyone is against him. I think he is legit but man, he comes across as a little d bag. I’m tough on Allen but I very much prefer how he handles slights as opposed to how Baker does. Me thinks Baker has bit of napoleon syndrome. -

I wonder what the reaction would be if Cam Newton was doing this. -
In his one start as a rookie, Mahomes threw for more yards than any of Allen’s starts this year. lets just hope Allen because he’s a legit franchise qb where we don’t have to keep making excuses for his 52% completion %. But if any other fanbase saw this thread, they would think we are lunatics. A guy in his second year, with the 2nd worst defense in the nfl, went toe to toe with the greatest ever in a championship game.

It’s sort of sad how sensitive some fans are. What you said is 100% right. There is no way he was close to the first option. He may be a great coach but folks need to be real about things. And i I hate the idea of retread but I do think there is value in veteran position coaches who have had a track record of nfl success. TR is a good coach who was given a bunch of ? to work with.

I don’t really put much value into Lynch’s opinion on things. But it’s hilarious how people act like athletes or “celebrities “ can’t crticize a reality TV host. -
Bills hire Bobby Johnson as offensive line coach
C.Biscuit97 replied to GimmeSomeProcess's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I find the offensive line so boring and freely admit I know nothing about evaluating it. I do believe it’s a position group where a coach can make a huge difference. So please draft mean, smart players and keep them together for a few year. And stop switching the blocking schemes. -
Should Bills go after FA TE Demetrius Harris
C.Biscuit97 replied to CEN-CAL17's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Honestly asking: how many quality TEs actually available in free agency? Why don’t we just draft a stud for once? NE, the best team of our generation, constantly is drafting tight ends. But why would you copy a successful team? -
I know it sucks to hear but it’s why players should only look out for themselves. These guys are pieces of meat to fans and the teams. They get rid of them the second they are not valuable. I will say a know a bunch of former o and d linemen who lost a ton of weight after they were doing playing and skill players who went the opposite way. But I don’t care how much they make. Nfl (and SeC) players are under paid.

We had the number 2 defense. Allen “led” a comeback against the Titans because of the defense. It goes both ways. again, I’d bet on Allen being the better qb long term. But Allen is closer to Jackson as a passer than Baker. And you’re a giant homer. And that’s awesome. Seriously. But I do know when I was in the place, I wasn’t objective. It’s also funny that some fans act like there is some bias towards the Bills in an article that mentions Foster, who most nfl fans know nothing about.

Honestly with ESB, it’s all about upside. He’s 6’5” fast and played with a terrible throwing qb in college. I barely remember Ray Ray, who played at Clemson and wasn’t even their best slot receiver (that was 38 year old Hunter). I think it would have been for Allen to grow with a freak type receiver his rookie year. thats what drives me crazy about all the blame the other players are getting. The staff that picked Allen put together this offense. It didn’t have to be terrible. Allen didn’t have to be forced into playing if they managed the QB position. i swear this is nothing person. I didn’t like Allen before the draft because those guys fail at super high rates. I know people who know Allen and hear he’s a great dude. I want to be wrong. But I hope he isn’t going into the offseason thinking he doesn’t need to become a better passer because his wrs sucked. 60% passer with a 2:1 td:int ratio isn’t too much to hope for. And I sincerely hope he gets it because we might actually have a franchise guy.

Mel Kiper Mocks — 1.0 DT Rashan Gary 2.0 DK Metcalf

Of all the draft “experts,” I trust him the least. That said, salute to him for creating a business. -

The only concern I’d have with the Clemson guys is how much does playing with great players in the d line enhance their play. It’s really hard to double anyone on that line so I would guess they have a little easier job than a guy like Ed Oliver.
