That’s the problem with him being a backup. He’s a player away from playing. He was literally the worst nfl qb I have ever seen. I know he’s a nice guy. Honestly, I didn’t even get mad watching him. Dareus is still a better player than Star. He starts for the Jags (a vey good defense) and can play on passing downs. He just never lived up to what he could have been as one of the best DTs in the nfl. It’s fair. He got bloated but he still starts for one of the best defenses in the league.

Something about Ray Ray annoys the crap out of me. I think he thinks he’s OBJ and the reason Clemson won a championship. He wasn’t even as good as that 30 year old former band member they had as a slot receiver. Happens as you get deeper in camp. I love it as long as they arent idiots throwing punches.

I actually agree with you here. Not to go back to the Gailey days but I think the biggest mistake they made was not drafting a qb when we had Fitz. Every young qb would benefit from having Fitz to learn from. I think the problem is Fitz is too good of a guy to be a backup and often ends up playing better than the young guy and teams don’t want that headache. He was better than Winston last year. But ultimately, his physical limitations hold him back in the long run. Still better than Tannehill.

Yes, I weigh the most recent more than RT’s last “good” season 4 years ago. We’ll agree to disagree. I know what Fitz is. But his best is a lot more scary than RT’s. There were very few qbs I feared the Bills going against less than Tannehill.

So if Fitz did that with the number 2 defense we had, what’s our record last year? And before you say we don’t have the receivers TB has, he did it with some scrubs here. You’re right. Even though Fitz has been fair superior than Tannehill last year, he is clearly better. Solid argument. Also when you break down Fitz’ career, he has been in terrible situations. What he did with our waiver wire group was impressive. He won 10 games with the Jets when they were supposed to be the worst team in the NFL.

But was he their number 1? Crabtree drew a good amount of attention. Also, Hill is a POS but he is seems more solidly built than Brown. I remember Brown from fantasy (has a good game, you pick him, and drop him the next week). He was always on the injury report and tends to disappear some games. Number 1s shouldn’t disappear the way he has. JMO.

There was never a time when I was nervous to face Tannehill. It’s my fear we end up with Allen being a Tannehill player. Ok enough to not want to give up on him but deep down, you know he’s not good enough. there is no question I’d rather play again Tannehill than Fitz. Fitz might throw 4 ints but he also could throw 5 tds. Tannehill is the definition of meh. The most empty 4, 000 yards ever. It’s liek when Stafford had 5,000 yard passing seasons. They were pretty much meaningless.

Dalton was playing at MVP level and the Bengals might have been the best team in the bro before he got hurt (2016 maybe?). I think Darnold has gone from overrated to underrated. He played really well for a rookie at the end of the season and they might have added the best all around rb. I’m not sure how I feel about this. He always struck me as a complimentary receiver. I guess it’s also how you view a number 1. Could I see Brown leading us in yards? Sure. But I view a number 1 is a guy the opposing DC goes all out to stop. A guy who needs to be doubled. A guy with the game on the line, you can go to. I don’t think Brown is that type of player and we lack a “true” number 1 receiver. my fear is we have a Tom Brady receiving core without Tom Brady.
