  1. Great point with the Herbert example. I like him and it looks more like how you envision nfl qbs being. But he hasn’t done a thing better than Lamar unless you are the most biased person ever on the planet.
  2. Eli “won” 2 SBs with teams that went 9-7 and 10-6 (while having a career .500 record and an 84 qb rating). He won one SB were they scored 13 points, a dude who had a football stick to his helmet, and an awesome defense that shut down one of the best offenses ever. Eli is certainly luckier than Lamar. But there is not one legitimate statistic where he is better than Lamar.
  3. This sums up the problem with receiver. It’s a completely dependent position. I like the guys who play with Mahomes and Allen better than the other guys. It was one game but man, it’s tough watching Worthy make plays like that. If there is one thing this offense misses is speed that doesn’t cover themselves (MVS good guy, bricks for hands).
  4. I counter with this Bo Nix, the 25 year old dink and dunker, will be better than a 2 MVP is certainly a take.
  5. The same media that trashed him in the draft after winning a Heisman? he isn’t the best passer. But he helped make Andrew’s into a weapon (3rd rounder) and has played with a lot of crap at the receiver position (Flowers is the best receiver he’s ever played with and he’s in his 2nd year). Last year’s Ravens team was one of the most dominant DVOA teams of all time. dude has a lot to prove in the playoffs and certainly has his flaws. But to act like it’s the media bias that he is one of the most electrifying qbs to ever play and he doesn’t win 70% of his starts (his backups have a losing record when they have replaced him) is wild. He’s really good, albeit flawed.
  6. Agree on the first 5 but yikes on the second part. i will bet you a lot of money that Maye and Nix don’t win multiple MVps and win 70% of their starts. DM to let me know the amount.
  7. Agree 100%. I was very skeptical of Allen (lack of faith in the Bills, his college resume) but him and Lamar are pretty similar. Both got a lot of hate (Lamar won a Heisman and idiots talked about him having to switch positions), they are super exciting, and are very good qbs who do it their way. the Ravens have one good wr and they came within an inch of going for a win against the 2 time defending champions. After a 85 yard drive in about a minute. Absolutely stupid to hate on him today. A toe?
  8. They are 58-19 in his starts and have a losing record when his backups play. They have had a very mid group of offensive weapons around him the majority of his career. Definitely needs to prove it in the playoffs but he’s really good. and besides mahomes (insane but understandable), Jackson is the most hated on qb on this board.
  9. I get why Bills fans don’t like a rival qb but I personally think it’s weird to hate on Lamar. People think Allen got hated on (he did) but Lamar went at the end of the 1st, after winning a Heisman. And morons said he won’t even make it as a qb in the nfl, after winning a Heisman. he plays a unique style and isn’t exactly loaded with offensive weapons. Jackson and Allen are pretty similar great stories. This is where McDermott gets too much hate. Allen joined a playoff team and has consistently had top 5 defenses to support his growth. Daboll was an awesome OC and Allen had him for 4 years, which never happens with successful OCs. there is this weird thing that Bills fans like to do and pretend Allen was just awesome right away. Allen worked his butf off to be awesome and has one of the unique skill sets of any qb ever. But the Bills, especially Sean, have done an amazing job supporting his growth. people act like McDermott is Nate Hackett (offensive guy!) instead of a top 10 head coach.
  10. What were their other options? McDaniels is one of the best offensive coaches in the nfl and Tua was the highest rated passer in nfl last year. We I’ll always beat them, especially in the cold, but in theory, they have a good QB- head coach combo.
  11. There were also reports that the Jets camp was great and everyone was happy. Few ways this is going to happen: - Rodgers is a washed up weirdo. Hurts chemistry, starts calling everyone out, Saleh gets fired, and they have to find a new qb next year. - one of the most talented rosters in the nfl can get even average qb play after the worst in the nfl last year from a former 3 time MVP, they are one of the most dangerous teams in the nfl. And LI bros become ever more annoying. let’s just hope the Jests stay the Jests. I can’t handle their fans if they ever become good.
  12. I mean if you’re playing with all 5 stars, how hard can your job be? It’s why Bama and USC qbs have struggled in the nfl (fyi Caleb had a pretty blah group this year at USC and is set up well for the Bears so I’m pretty sure he will be the exception). but Sean will get the best of whatever is in him. If I was a FA d back, I would try my hardest for a one year deal with the Bills.
  13. You really think that they are choosing Allen for clicks? Won’t it make more sense to choose someone from a bigger market or mahomes?
  14. It’s funny how less personal Allen takes this me meaningless crap than some fans. Dude has the best outlook on things.
  15. I agree with you but the really sad part is this happens in really important areas of life as well. If the insane how much people can’t think for themselves or so easily influenced. What a second. Guys with money, who play sports or music, get hotter women??? This is a wild phenomenon.
  16. I think a big difference is those guys produced in college. Davis had 1200 yards and 12 tds his last year in college. Shakir had almost 1200 and 7 tds his last year. In one year, they almost out did what shorter did in 5. college stats can be very deceiving but his lack of production in 5 years is really telling. Reminds me of Robert Foster.
  17. Never got that pick. 5 years, 1500 yards, 8 tds. That’s a lightly below even mid.
  18. Agree 100% and that’s why you can’t have him over Allen, Burrow, etc.
  19. Agree with all you said but I do think the bias is in Bills fans heads a bit. Allen took a lot of crap when he came into the nfl. So did Jackson. And Hurts. I think after year 3, the Bills were one of the most beloved teams in the nfl. Allen was a God after that KC loss. however, it’s a case of being good but not good enough. We havent gotten past that KC title game loss yet so people have started writing us off. I’d also argue last year was the worst Allen played in prime time games (Jets, Broncos, Chargers) so he didn’t get the love he did in past years. So if anything, we have become underdogs again. No one respects our wrs and we lost a bunch of leaders (mainly old) but still. Add to the narrative that Jackson isn’t winning again or Mahomes, this might be Allen’s best case if he has a normal or close to Allen season.
  20. I think the Pats might screw him up but I wish they had Mac Jones instead of Maye. Maye has some Allen to him. luckily, they have been a joke at evaluating offensive talent for a decade. But Maye could be a good one I agree but it’s hilarious how it was ever a doubt. Dude has been awesome since he was a freshman. It was only beta dudes who didn’t like him because he painted his nails and was “different.” He will be a top 10 qb in 2 years.
  21. See this is the crap that is so stupid. Why do you have to put down Jackson to prop up Allen? I’m sure Ravens fans do the same thing with Allen. Throw Burrow in there vice versa. Jackson has a 58-19 record as a nfl starter, 2 MVPs, and a Heisman. He’s really good. Burrow won a championship, got to a SB, and a Heisman. Allen came from no where to become at worst a top 5 qb (I’d put him 2). moral of the story, the only qb who is not probably considered overrated by other fanbases is Mahomes (who some bills fans still don’t think is that good). however, this is the year where Allen will get the lion share of credit if he can get this group to make noise. Josh Allen wasn’t going to try hard but if he sees this poll, it’s on!!!! Bills fans are very insecure about Allen. And I get it. He was doubted (I certainly did) and has become amazing. But it’s like the ugly dude who suddenly gets a beautiful girlfriend. They have to tell all their friends his pretty she is instead of just being happy they have a beautiful girlfriend. we have a beautiful Josh Allen. Who cares what other people think?
  22. My prediction is Allen has less tds/ ints but gets more love in mvp voting (betting on him to win at +900).
  23. Also if there was a team that would make me feel better about reading for someone else’s qb, it’s the Packers. Literally, the best franchise at evaluating/ developing qbs in the nfl.
  24. Maybe but so is Mitch and he’s 30. It’s the preseason so it’s pretty worthless but he had 104 qb rating on a bad titans team. Mitch went 0-2 on a 10-7 playoff team last year. I’d rather take the younger, more talented guy than the guy who has proven many times he is not good. Mitch, great guy though.
  25. I’ll probably be in the minority but I’d rather have Willis as a backup learning under Josh than our current situation. Especially for a 7th.
