  1. One of the knocks on Herbert is he’s very introverted. I also think the Chargers talent gets way overrated. Williams is always hurt, Allen gets hurt a ton, eckler isn’t a great between the tackles runner, defense has big names that are soft. but you’re right that Harbaugh will get the most of our them.
  2. You are literally making up hypotheticals to discredit how good Mahomes is. After they beat us in the playoffs. Again. With a team everyone, including Bills fans, though was garbage.
  3. Reid had zero SB wins before Mahomes. I believe if you take away Mahomes, McDermott has a higher win % than McDermott, who did make the playoffs without Allen (obviously I think Reid is a better coach but McDermott has been good too).
  4. I think, and if sucks, Micah needs to retire before something terrible happens. Poyer is pretty washed but I’m fine with him for a year to be a vet guy. A constant pass rush would help all our d backs though.
  5. It’s a message board so this is type of stuff you talk about. But it’s along the lines of if I asked out Susie in 5th grade, my life would be so much different now!
  6. Well if Greg says it, it must be true! no one would have said this a month ago. Everything is so reactionary! but yes, let’s get multiple WRs here this offseason.
  7. Mahomes wins a SB in Buffalo. I don’t think Allen is close to the same player in Arizona. The bills were a very good situation to get drafted to: playoff team, top 5 defense every year, mahomes was a more polished player than Allen entering the nfl. He carried an awful defense in college. Some fans forget that Allen wasn’t close to the player he is now when he entered the league. The Bills, especially Daboll, deserve a ton of credit in how they developed him into the player he is. Now, he doesn’t need that development. But far too many fans forget the bills did a textbook example of how to successfully develop a raw qb, which is crazy because it was the Bills. This is our new Brady. Well even though he won 7 SBs, he wasn’t really that good!
  8. I could KS out producing a rookie next year sure. But if we don’t get a good outside threat or force him out there, it will be bad for this offense and him.
  9. To be fair, because Reed is my least favorite Bill (personal stuff haha) but 1 - Reed won a Blienkoff award, was a 2nd round pick, and might still have lsu records. Dude had a legit resume out of college. 2 - Reed played with Losman and KS plays with Allen. I loved what I saw out of KS this year. But what hurts teams is when you settle for guys in roles they shouldn’t be in. KS doesn’t have the size or speed to be the type of number 2 we need on the outside. It doesn’t mean he can’t thrive on the inside. Let’s not force him to be something that he’s not
  10. Just found out that Brian Callahan is Good counter. I hope they interview Duce or EB. I like Brady but it wasn’t like this was some perfect offense under him (and it is very hard to take over mid season to be fair). They should keep interviewing. and I don’t why this has to be some “controversial “ topic. It’s ok to have different thoughts. Part of the problem is this country is adults can’t have civil discussions. There were issues with racism at certain positions for a while (qbs and head coaches). It has done a much better job at opening up opportunities for people and I struggle to see why that is a bad thing. I also think the cronyism is a much bigger problem at this point too. Sorry I cheated on your mom Steve. Want to be the DC?
  11. Great post. Before I got my current (right now dream job), I loved interviewing. I had a job so there was zero pressure and it’s was just great practice. I’m very humble but I got offered like 7 or 8 jobs the past few years because I started to kill interviews.
  12. That is a good point. The guy who was Lewis’ OC who got the Panthers job had a resume that wasn’t crazy long. but I agree that offensive coaches definitely are more in demand for head coaching jobs.
  13. But it probably helped he get a chance that he might not have since Rooney was an advocate for the rule. it’s not perfect but I’m so sick of the same garbage people getting recycled. Go on. You named like 5 in the history of the nfl.
  14. was the old system of them not getting interviews better? Former backup qb who was the qb coach of helping Baker revive his career is a pretty solid start to a coaching resume. a lot of the McVay clones get hired off being first time OCs and qb coaches.
  15. That’s fair but Dorsey was never an OC at any level when he got the job. Tomlin wasn’t even considered a serious candidate when he interviewed and he has never had a losing season no matter how garbage his qbs are. I think giving a people who might not have a chance at the job in the first place ain’t a bad thing. We need less Hacketts and more coaches who earned their way there.
  16. He literally might have the worst receiving core in the nfl right now. And Kelce is clearly on the downside.
  17. Explain Nate Hackett? Or Pat Shurmur having two chances to be a head coach? Or Rob Ryan? Or Andy Reid’s ex heroin son being a d line coach? Or garbage Brian Schottmeir? Or a million other examples. im not saying it’s all racism but it isn’t just the best guys getting the job. There is a guy in high school or college who is a million times better than Hackett but will never get a chance because is dad wasn’t a nfl coach or he’s not friends with the right people.
  18. A black retread head coach! The nfl is so progressive now! I would be a little nervous if I was a falcons fan because defensive coaches make me nervous. But if he can pluck a McVay OC and get a QB, there is some legit talent on that team and it’s a garbage division.
  19. Tomlin won’t have gotten the Steelers job if he wasn’t given a chance. the rule certainly has its flaws but the nepotism/ buddy system in the bro hiring is out of control. You recycle the same garbage coaches/ front office people because they are related to them or friends with them. but who needs another Brad Holmes when you can hire the ex Chargers GM who just got fired?
  20. Why? Explain it. Sounds like a young guy getting an opportunity to get a job.
  21. So if Allen helped us get the number 1 seed; almost set a nfl record for amount of time leading in games (the Ravens have been stomping teams so they need to have garbage time stats); murdered some of the best teams in the nfl (SF, MiAmi, Texans, Detroit), and had Lamar’s stats, you won’t think he was the mVp? Allen is absolutely amazing. But it was a very inconsistent offense and turnovers didn’t help. I think Allen can be an even better qb next year with less gaudy stats.
  22. Even though he won’t win it, the fact that we have a QB who is even in the discussion blows my mind. I’m tough on Allen because I think some fans give him a pass (😉) for everything (turnovers were a big issue in the regular season. but he truly is a special player. All the credit in the world for him becoming a better player than he was in the Mountain West, which seemed impossible. It is truly unbelievable. So if Lamar wins the SB, do those losses even matter any more? Peyton was awful in the playoffs until they won a SB. So if you point a concern that is valid (Josh would even say it himself), you must be a Ravens fan? What a silly post. This isn’t a cult.
  23. This would be Josh Reed becoming the number 2 after Price left. Shakir could put up really good numbers next year but he doesn’t have the attributes to threaten a defense enough as a number 2. He would get clamped on the outside by most corners. Hes absolutely perfect in his role. Let’s get a legit threat in the draft.
  24. Someone forgot about Tim Anderson!
