  1. But you said Lamar will regress with tape. All offseason I heard he was a rb who was playing qb. He has improved as a passer. Why can’t he continue to improve?
  2. I’m really not trying to hate on Allen but I think we win those games with 90% of the starting QBs. It’s not so much a knock on Allen but a reflection of how good our defense is and how easy the schedule has been.
  3. I’m just curious why Allen is the only qb from his class who can improve.
  4. It’s so much harder to tank if the NFL. If you go half speed, you will get injured. Also, guys and coaches are fighting for jobs every game. That said, just do a draft lottery. In our fantasy league (I know it’s a little different haha), but to keep everyone competing until the end, the non playoff teams compete and the “winner” gets the 1st overall pick. So maybe the best non playoff team gets the highest pick?
  5. The Rams have played Carolina, SF, Seattle, and the Saints. Way tougher schedule. i think Goff is much better than he is given credit for. Goff also throws 9 more time a game so more is on his plate. i guess the interesting thing would be what would happen if they switched teams. I don’t see the Bills having a different record. Goff lost a game where his team scored 40 points. i also thought we could do better than Daboll for Allen.
  6. Thanks to Fitz being Fitz as well. Love the dude but he is so predictable. Who thinks Tre is underrated? I think it has been pretty known that he is one of the best cbs in the nfl.
  7. Most fans are delusional About how good their team and it’s players are (you know who you are here ?). Philly fans are the exact opposite. They hate all their teams and think their players suck. It’s kinda funny. This dude is awesome though. https://mobile.twitter.com/stoolpresidente/status/1186295371363999745?ref_src=twsrc^tfw|twcamp^tweetembed|twterm^1186295371363999745&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2F1063thebuzz.com%2Feagles-fan-deeply-upset-by-loss-to-cowboys%2F
  8. Yeah. That’s why it needs to be higher than that. Miller is being held back by their qbs. Foster, minus the end of the last year, has really produced in the NFL or college. I don’t know why the Bears would do that, but if you can make happen, I’d love it. I think Miller could be really good in the right system.
  9. The saying is you ruin more quarterbacks than you develop. I definitely have doubts about Allen and I have doubts about some of offensive scouting/ evaluations. That said, we built a great defense where Allen isn’t forced to win games himself. I would like to see the next step of Allen dominating a game from start to finish. But overall, Buffalo is a a pretty solid place for a young qb.
  10. I like that dude. One of the only good players they have. AJ Green would fit really well here but the injury concern is real. People also have to remember some of these teams won’t trade then for less than a 3rd because they get compensatory picks for guys leaving in FA. Why would the Bears reads hmm? They just spent a 2nd on him and he’s really good. Evans, who they won’t trade, is exactly what this team needs. Corey Davis is good. He’s held back by his qbs. Not sure why they would trade him now though. I think he was a top 10 pick 2 years ago.
  11. Talk about making crap up. I was one of the leading posters who wanted Tyrod gone. I was happy when they let him go. I did also realize that while he was completely limited, you could do worse, which we had for like 15 years. But i do realize being an irrational homer is going to be a lot more popular on this board. I used to be a soccer mom. I think we have a SB defense (especially with another pass rusher) and an offense that isn’t consistent enough that will hold us back. I also think Bills fans don’t know what good qb play looks like. We get excited over 2 tds and 200 yards passing. Jacoby Brissett can throw for 300+ yards and 4 tds. Why is it a bad thing to want to see a monster offensive game where we don’t have to come back against a crappy team?
  12. Honestly, I couldn’t care less what you think about me. There’s only a few posters I really pay attention. I just respond to the post. It’s never personal. i do you hope you’re smarter to understand why beating Seattle on the road is a lot more impressive than beating Miami at home right? I’d argue Allen’s beat start of his career was against Minnesota even though he had better stats against Miami last year, the opponent matters. What??? They have a MVP qb. The trumps everything. If we had Wilson, we would be talked about as a SB team.
  13. How are they ? on us by pointing this out? The Pats have an easy schedule too. Is the media ? in them? we have a few tougher games that should give us a better idea of how we stack up. But we got lucky with a great schedule. Good for us.
  14. With our defense and our schedule, with a more consistent offense (I’m trying to be nice), there is a chance where Allen would have zero comebacks this season. That’s why the stat is overrated. You shouldn’t have to comeback against the Bengals and Fins. Without our defense, the Jets game is over in the first half. We shouldn’t have to get excited we scored 14 points to win a game against the Titans. its early, we’re 5-1. But this defense is hiding a lot of faults. And if we going to be a true contender, we can’t keep on depending on them to keep us in every game. We should be putting garbage teams away in the first half.
  15. Or that crappy Mark Sanchez got a bunch of comebacks when he played with a dominant defense because his offense sucked most of the game. But pretend not to understand. And for the record, I’d like to believe Allen is better than Sanchez.
  16. We could dig way more in this stat. The more your team isn’t good, the more chances you have for a comeback. The better your defense is, the more chances you have for a comeback. To say Allen’s comeback against the Titans where we scored 7 points until the 4th quarter is the same as the Reich one is crazy. With this defense, more consistent offense would led to less opportunities for comebacks. Now what a smart offensive coach might say is that Allen seems to be better in a hurry up, less structured offense and to try it early in the games when the offense goes in a rut.
  17. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/S/SancMa00.htm 7 comebacks in 2 years!!!
  18. Pad Stafford 28 comebacks in 147 starts. 19% peyton Manning 43 comebacks in 265 starts. 16% its almost like one of the all time great qbs had less chances for comeback because he is awesome and doesn’t need to comeback. I’d also love to see a breakdown of comebacks where the defense gave up 21 or more points. Because the Colts had seem terrible defenses. Not all comebacks are the same.
  19. https://www.google.com/amp/s/lionswire.usatoday.com/2019/09/16/matthew-stafford-moves-into-top-10-in-career-4th-quarter-comeback-wins/amp/ ?
  20. Omg. You’re such a soccer mom. Someone said something not amazing about my baby! Let me get the other soccer moms to yell at them! We’re 5-1. Things are good. But sorry for not throwing a party because we have pathetically low standards for good qb play. Allen “led” a comeback against the Titans and we scored 2 tds!!! He led a comeback against one of the worst teams in modern history! We came back against the 0-7 Bengals! Look, he’s improved in some things but this defense carries this team. If we had a more consistent offense, we could do some real damage in this crappy AFC. Our qb expectations are so pathetically low.
  21. Just looked it up. Kelly had 21 4th quarter comebacks in 160 starts. (13%). Allen has 5 in 17 starts (29%). The Bills would dominate early in games in the 90s and won’t need to come back. It’s a very overrated stat. If we had more consistent offense on the first 6 games, Allen wouldn’t have so many comebacks.
  22. You can say the same for Mayfield. Also folks were saying Jackson, a Heisman winning trophy qb, shouldn’t even play qb in the NFL. I think that qualifies as doubting him. i generally get what everyone is saying and I do think Allen is an awesome dude. But it still comes down to how they play. Losman cleaned up Buffalo. EJ was a good dude who had a sneaker scavenger hunt. Not of this really matters in the end if you aren’t good enough. There are plenty of Buffalo guys if they are good enough. Stop with the win- loss records for qbs. So completely misleading.
