  1. Somewhat...but he really hated dealing with boosters, and all the Alumni events he had to do.
  2. Its BS. He hated the college game. Its also his MO for leverage. Not that he has any right now.
  3. ...you might want to check the schedule again
  4. The fact he didn't declare last year when he was a top pick makes me laugh.
  5. I think I would throw Oakland in there as well, but Miami (1-3), Baltimore (1-4) and KC (1-4) were all supposed to be contenders, but are really hurting. Things are shaping up our way, despite our performance. We should beat Jags, Dolfins, Texans and Redskins. If we split with the Jets, and pick up one of Cowboys/Eagles/Chiefs, we wind up at 9-7, and probably make the playoffs. I am writing off the Pats and Bengals...but a win over either would be HUGE.
  6. Good start, but Sammy Hurt, McCoy hurt, Miller hurt, and Taylor limping...not good.
  7. Hopefully not. when it comes to spinal cord injuries, the worse they "look" doesnt equate to how bad they actually are.
  8. Lets see if Hack can show something tonight...
  9. I am so torn on this kid. I have been signing his praises for years, but I am starting to wonder. I still think he has the talent to be a franchise NFL QB. But he is getting SMOKED. I mean when this happens on a consistent basis: http://www.sbnation.com/college-football/2015/9/5/9267073/temple-penn-state-sackhow are you supposed to be able to judge the QB? He got sacked 10 times vs temple. Maybe 2 of them were his fault. But he is playing so flustered because of the OL, that its hard to determine whether or not he could put it all together if he was playing behind a semi-competent line. His reads seem off. He is rushing throws, the running game has been abysmal. How much of that is him, and how much of that is systematic...I dont know. And I have no idea what is going on in his head after enduring this type of awful situation for the last 14 games. Thats probably my biggest concern. When he gets to the next level, can he put that all behind him, or is he eternally scarred by being sacked 52 times in the last 15 games (Those are Drew Bledsoe 2002 numbers!) Me, personally, if I am whaley, I look at him at the end of the first round, and if he is there in the second I grab him in an instant (assuming the Tyrod experiment goes as I think it will). But there is a lot of football left. My god. http://www.sbnation.com/college-football/2015/9/5/9267073/temple-penn-state-sack. That is just pathetic! I agree at this point I dont see him as a 1st rounder anymore, which is potentially great news for someone.
  10. Right. I am sure his agent doesnt know what he is worth...
  11. I dont think so. It would take away rivalries. If you are batteling the same teams Year in and Year out, you build up a hatred for those teams. If everyone is in the same mix, you can say goodbye to non-geographical rivalries. Think about us. We wouldnt care about beating the patriots nearly as much as we do. We are fighting for that last playoff spot, and the patriots are probably going to get one anyway. Look at us and the colts. Do you honestly care about them AT ALL since they left the AFC East? Probably not (Side note, how pissed would we be if Brady AND Manning AND Luck have been in our division the last 10 years...while we had Johnson/Losman/Edwards/Manuel?). I think the proliferation of the wild card is eroding the importance of the regular season in these sports, and frankly I dont like it. I also dont like interleague play in MLB, but maybe I am just a traditionalist. I would be in favor of one cross-league "rivalry" series each year (i.e. Nationals - Orioles, Mets-Yankees, Oakland -San Fran, etc). Those games were awesome the first year of interleague, but now they are just another game on the schedule because it happens too often. If you are going to do anything, maybe combine the league into geographical regions. Get rid of the AFC/NFC all togheter. New East Division Bills Patriots Jets Giants Eagles Steelers Ravens Redskins New West Division Raiders Chargers Cardinals Broncos Seahawks 49ers Chiefs Titans Midwest Division Lions Bears Packers Rams Vikings Bengals Browns Colts South Division Texans Falcons Panthers Buccaneers Cowboys Jaguars Dolphins Saints Ahh yes... I could go for that... Top 2 in each division go to the playoffs. Natural rivalries all around. Play every team in division once, and 3 teams from every other division each year. This whole thing gets better if the Jaguars or the Rams actually move to the West Division. I dont like having the Chiefs and Titans in the west...but I cant make it any better.
  12. Then you havent been paying attention to the whole story. Go back to his true freshman year, and he made TONS of the "OMG I need that guy" type of passes. But he also had a strong offensive line, and elite WRs, many of which (OL and WR) are in the NFL right now. But last year, when those WRs graduated and much of the OL was replaced by true freshman due to the sanctions, he was sacked FOURTY FOUR times, and knocked down probably another 100 times. As a result, he struggled BIG TIME. He is still raw, but he has the tools to be a top flight NFL QB. I think you will see him step up this year. Here is his freshman year highlight reel: https://search.yahoo.com/yhs/search?p=hackenberg+highlight+&ei=UTF-8&hspart=mozilla&hsimp=yhs-001. AS a true freshman he had poise, composure, made smart decisions, was a strong leader, and progressed through his reads in a NFL offense run by Bill O'Brien. Many college QBs look good because the players are open and they get them the ball. Hackenberg as a freshman was able to anticipate the play, and lead the receiver. Last year, under James Franklin, he regressed, but I attribute that as much to Franklin and the offensive scheme as I do to Hackenberg. Assuming he declares, I GUARANTEE you that he will go in the first round. There is NO WAY Bill O"Brien and the Texans will be on the clock and not select him. ZERO. Someone is going to get a good QB. I hope its us. Actually I hope EJ plays so well we dont need Hackenberg...but it would be a good consolation prize if this season goes as I am afraid its going to.
  13. Is this really any different than an "AFC East Champion" (or any other division winner) banner?
  14. Farve got a 50k fine. I think this is worse, but not too much worse. Maybe 100k fine. Maybe one game suspension. The real kicker will be if Brady didnt tell Billicheck what was really going on. If that trust erodes...game on!
  15. This side show is going to be entertaining to watch...
  16. Okay fine...my full list Worst Draft pick ever? Maybin is a good choice, but I am going to go with JP Losman for the many years he set us back. Also under consideration: Erik Flowers. Most hyped/highest draft pick worst? Mike Williams Most hyped 4th round or higher marketing bust. Tank Carder Least hyped late round/UDFA surprise. Stevie Johnson Least hyped F/A surprise. Steve Christie Worst trade? Trading up for JP Losman The annual late round pick everyone loves, but does not make the team and is out of the league. Drew Haddad Worst line from a Bills head Coach "I’m going to go home, not talk to anybody, just shut it down. I’m going to be by myself, I’m not going to pet my dog and I’m going to get fired up...I’m going to be a pro, I’m going to be a man. ” - Doug Maroon.
  17. For #3, I might go with Tank Carder.
  18. Mike Hull.
  19. I lost alot of interest once they went away from the Sat/Sun marathon draft days.
  20. Except when you have a long TD near the end of the game, and run out of bounds at the 1 instead of running it in so that your extra point is "easier".
  21. Marrone gets my vote. Guy had a chance to be successful here, but decided to walk away to be the Jags O-Line coach. Give me a break. Mularkey is on my list, as is Juron, but Marrone will always get my vote.
  22. While I dont like to play a tough team week 1...week 1 is the week you can pick off a tough opponent who isnt quite ready for the season.
