Bills resign Shane Matthews
BuckeyeBill replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills are close to an iminent deal with Shane Matthews. I like that idea. With both Holcomb and Matthews there to help groom JPL, there is no need for drafting a quarterback. In many of the mock drafts I've been reading, they have the Bills drafting a QB. I think that this changes everything. With the Quarterback situation set (at least until next year), where do you expect the Bills to draft in the late rounds to help with debth? Runningback is obvious to me (with the iminent dismissal of TH), but what else are we looking at? -
TH could run for 1500 for Philly.
BuckeyeBill replied to TC in St. Louis's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Everyone is blasting Travis... and I'm tired of it. If TH ends up in Phili, I will guarantee a thousand yard season, and perhaps get up to the 1500 yard range. (I would say unlikely because Phili' is a pass first team, but I may be wrong). TH is young, in his mid 20s. He should have another 8-11 years left in his tank. For Buffalo, over two seasons he had 2800 yards and plenty of touchdowns. You can assume he will be a scoring machine for Phili, and I'll draft him on my fantasy football team. As for fumbling, he has greatly improved there. He didn't fumble too many times in the games he played this year. Fact is, TH is a solid, young, probowl running back worthy of a 2nd round pick. I think that Phili' is seeing that, and I wouldn't be surprised if by draft day we choose twice in the 2nd round. -
bills starters and where they were drafted
BuckeyeBill replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Second day picks are very important. They are just a little more boring because (well for me at least) they are names I've never heard of before. But there have been many second day steals in NFL History. I consider Terrance McGee a steal in the draft. Who would have thought he would have been this good as a Kick Returner and even a Cornerback. And he's just coming into his own! Let's hope TD finds another Diamond in the rough on Sunday. -
Go Delay!! Finally someone is standing up to the unqualified Justice Kennedy. Too bad nobody else has the guts to do it. I'm proud of Delay!

I always considered Empire Strikes Back the best Star Wars Movie. Mainly because the bad guys won. Han Solo trapped in Carbonite, Luke losing his hand, Darth Vader now in control because he is literally Luke's Daddy. With that premise... Return of the Sith should be the best of the 6. Not that I'm getting my hopes up or anything.

Good move by Denver. They don't see anyone they like in the first round, so why not wait until next year when the draft offers more promise. They are giving up a 25... to get a 4th and a 1st next year. And how much do you want to bet that that 1st round pick next year will be in the top 10?

Where there is value, there is Donahoe.
BuckeyeBill replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would be shocked if TD went to the 1st round. NO chance he will go to the early first (like let's say #9), but if they pick within the first 25 picks, my jaw will drop. However, if we pick in the early to mid 40s, I will not be surprised at all. -
Redskin #9 and #25 for Clements?
BuckeyeBill replied to otterpops's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dolphins have to be up there for a possibly "more stupid" franchise. SF could be up there if they select a QB first overall and not wait for Leinart next year. -
Arizona Cardinals to unveil new unis
BuckeyeBill replied to Thailog80's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I always thought that the Cards had the ugliest uniforms in the league. Good thing they are going to change it. Start with the helmet... avoid white, and go from there. This change is long overdue. -
The next Madden cover has GUESS WHO on it
BuckeyeBill replied to Talonz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Does that mean that Donavan is going to get injured now? -
We haven't been active because TD is being patient. Holding onto the money (he is frugal with his money), but if something comes up that is a good possibility (like LM a few years back) then he will bite in a second. But you did make a good point about all those draft picks. I think that TD is secretly happy he doesn't have a high first. I would be shocked if Buffalo selects anywhere in the first round let alone at number 9.

Yeah a conservative pope. What a novel idea.

Andrew Walter is the best QB in draft
BuckeyeBill replied to RLflutie7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Who? -
What is the asking price for Gardner. Now there is a good 3rd receiver. But I do think that TD is happy with Reed and Aiken fighting it out.

Who Has Confidence in Josh Reed This Year?
BuckeyeBill replied to IDBillzFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I know many people will argue with me, but I do NOT think that Josh Reed is a flop. I think that he is undersized... yes, young... yes... but I could see him as a solid #2 receiver in just a few years. He will learn from his mistakes, and I hope that he stays, learns from EM (his senior) and LE (his junior) and excels in that 3rd receiver role (as he has done in the past). I too remember the easily-catchable balls he just dropped, but I've also seen Jerry Rice and Marvin Harrison drops passes too. Nobody is perfect, and we don't need to crucify JR because of that. -
Um... I like NC. I want him in Buffalo. If nobody offers him a good... no, make that a great deal, I say forget it. NC is one of the best corners in the league and a true playmaker. Remember, if Lindell makes that chip-shot field goal, and our defense doesn't give up the 50+ yard running play (on the very next play), then we win that Pittsburgh game and Clements sends us to the playoffs with his INT for TD. I like Nate Clements... don't just give him away for the fact of giving him away. As for TH, there are too many suitors to not bite. Someone will bite, if not before, then during, and if not during then after the draft.

2 are better than 1.

Do you hear that ticking Mr Moore?
BuckeyeBill replied to /dev/null's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Fahrenheit 9/11 just plain sucked. There were so many problems with the "so called" facts in that movie. I felt dumber after watching it. I can see his 15 minutes coming to a halt very quickly. Hatred will attract people for a little bit, but not for long. Michael Moore is all about hate. Hate Republicans, hate conservatives, hate Bush, hate America. -
How Important Is The "40" Time ?
BuckeyeBill replied to Bob Lamb's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Very nice article. I wonder if anyone will every break below a 4.0. Deion Sanders was once clocked near 4 flat... wasn't he? Who knows if it will ever happen. Just something to think about. -
Good point, I don't want Ty Law on our team. That would make me vomit.

This is some amazing artwork...
BuckeyeBill replied to USMCBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I can draw like that.... Yeah right! -
I have to say... I am quite impressed with TDs bulleying ablity. How I imagine the talks with Arizona... "TD, we will give you Shelton for Henry and a pick." "Screw you" replies TD. .....time passes... PRESENT "TD, we see we were wrong before. How about Shelton for Henry straight up." "Screw you" replies TD. ...time passes.... on Draft Day "TD, we were wrong. We will swap seconds, and give you Shelton for Henry" "Screw you, we're trading with Tampa, for a better deal" replies the victorous TD. I can see this as a real possiblity, and Arizona better be scared that it will happen. TD is quickly becoming my hero. All he needs to do now is draft Nugent.
