  1. I thought "duke"-ing it out was clever. But I can see it getting old really quick. I hope that Teague goes to LT and does a servicable job, then draft a tackle next year... I heard the draft is deep in that position next year. Then that draft pick can learn a year under Teague, and take over in '07
  2. I love Tim Anderson. In his senior year, the Buckeyes were one of the best rush defenses... nobody could run though them. Where did they unsuccessfully run? They tried to run at Anderson and he would consistently stuff... like Pat and Sam do. I think that Krumrie and Mularkey have seen that in Tim Anderson, and therefore were not scared to lose Pat and did not see the need to draft a defensive lineman. Ron Edwards is ALREADY a better rusher than Phat Pat. With the addition of these two dominant defensive tackles (I use that term loosely) PW became expendiable... and he was expended. I don't see the Bills looking at another Defensive Tackle (other than to replace Sam Adams in a few years). Anderson will be good next year, just give him time... you'll see!
  3. Whenever the Bills put their pads on, and they are in a position to win a game... I am always excited. I liked being excited 14 or so times last year. A lot better than those years of being unexcited after only 1/2 a quarter.
  4. Did you watch the same game I did? We had the game basically won. Even when Lindell missed that field goal, we were winning the game. It just stole all our wind out of our sails, and gave Pittsburgh the momentum.
  5. 1. He has? I thought he was likened to Brett Favre. 2. I think that TH is beyond solving. The best JP can do is ignore. 3. I'd like to see JP try that pass. He has a cannon for an arm. 4. Yes, I fully think that the Bills offense will score more points this year. Please note that I didn't include defense and special teams. 5. The kid was not poor or hapless, he was rude and disrespectful. I don't like the nickname idea. 6. I guarantee that he will end up better than one of those guys. He hasn't gotten "love" as you put it. He has given us hope and a spark when our offense needs it. Bledsoe brought a similar spark a few years back. Why you ask? Because it is a change. It is putting a solid arm in our team. We've been looking for the second coming of Jimbo for some time, and we hope it's in JP. Finally, I don't agree that it is utter glee that Bledsoe is gone. I'll miss him and I wish him the best.
  6. Lindell hasn't been blasted for missing that chip-shot field goal against Pittsburgh that officially took us out of the playoffs. I don't think that he will be blasted by signing Brien or some other kicker. It's sad too. I have always liked the Bills kicker... something that changed when TD came in. Hey, I have something to gripe with TD afterall... I was scared there for a moment.
  7. Whoa... that man needs some major help. I'm scared.
  8. From Henry's perspective... I sadly don't see any winning strategy. Unless the worst of the worst happens... and McGahee gets hurt. Then he can come in and be dominant. I hope he doesn't pull a Tonya Harding.
  9. Now there you go KRC. I knew you had a heart somewhere in there. I know we don't play in the NFC (which is something to lament in recent years), I know we play in the AFC East (which is something to lament for a while now), but the fact is our team is BETTER than teams that can boast themselves as "playoff" teams this year. I also will not be surprised when we end up smacking around some "playoff" teams in '05. Will you be cheering with me? Or looking for a way to find holes in posts that you don't agree with? Sparkey
  10. I retracted my "supportive" comment earlier. But anyways... Referring to TD as Teflon Tom, now that's...um, not moronic, that's... hmm.... unsubstantiated. Did you expect one man to come into a struggling 3-13 team with no quarterback or runningback, and turn it around without a few hic-cups? Those are rosy-colored glasses. Is the fact that Parcells had a losing season last year a sign that he is inept? I don't think so. I think that Dallas is a lot better now than when he came in. I realize that TD has a different job, but the fact is, you give people 2nd and 3rd and 4th chances, if you agree with how he is putting the team together and the direction the tema is going. I became a TD fan starting with how masterfully he handled Peerless Price. Not many GMs would think of that, and end up with a dominant back like McGahee in the process. I think that is far from "teflon".
  11. I see one of two things. Either you don't know what a moron is, or you do and you are proud that you are one. Forgive me for incorrectly using the word "support" earlier. But the term "moron" stands.
  12. You think that he would get people's attention if he set himself on fire? Interesting... Let me think about that.... Hmm.... No, I still don't think he would command anyone's serious attention, just like he didn't on draft day.
  13. If we could afford him, I'd say that would be a very solid pick-up. Kinda like the Lawyer Milloy deal.
  14. Hey MORON!! How about start supporting the Bills, and actually thinking about them rather than bashing a good post.
  15. Good idea, I wish I could.... but if you've seen a single trailer, or heard a single review, or seen a single clip from the movie.... then you aren't going in fresh.
  16. Definitely agree with that assessment. And Ty Law came in to New England as a starter, and won a Superbowl ring. Even if by some miracle TH wins a Superbowl ring this year (crossing my fingers) he would not have been the starter. Very different situation.
  17. Wow, you sound more like a New England fan. Go post on their boards.
  18. Um... there were teams that made the playoffs last year that the Bills would have crushed had they had the opportunity. Especially in the NFC. Being a playoff team doesn't mean you are a good team, it means that you are better than that rest. The Bills are better than 20 other teams (easily) in my opinion.
  19. Actually, (according to Instant Replay) Henry did make that touchdown. We should have and would have won that game had Mularkey challenged the call. But, still... TH should have made the end zone by more than 1/10th of an inch with the hole he had in front of him. Didn't the NFL call and apologize for the poor call they made that cost us that game. In my opinion, we were in the Playoffs, we just lost to the Steelers.
  20. Bolden... I think that's easier than Taylor.
  21. I don't really understand the point to this post. Am I lost?
  22. I don't think that TH likes the taste of being a backup. But if I were he, I would love my spot and I would enjoy sitting behind a great back who may get injured, and then get in there and dominate with fresh legs.
  23. To be honest, I would have been disappointed if we had picked a lineman in either the second or third rounds. With JMac there, I think he can work magic with later rounders, and I am liking Duke Preston as our center for the future. Isn't Teague's contract up at the end of this year? I would be shocked if he stayed in Buffalo when his contract expires (unless he signs for dirt cheap). Even though I do like Teague, he is adequate, but not dominant anywhere.
