The 5 worst trades in Bills History?
BuckeyeBill replied to BF_in_Indiana's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Because not many of us are old. -
You have to look at what Miami is trying to get for Patrick Surtain. They aren't even getting CLOSE to a 1st round pick. No way is Clements worth a 1st and 2nd. Sorry, you are dreaming.

I know I'll get flamed but....

In an ideal world we get a 2nd for TH trade in addition to our 2nd. Then we can get a lineman/corner and Nugent both in the second round. I only pray that can happen. Not likely though. I love Nugent probably more than anyone on this board, but I think that the likliness of him ending up in Buffalo is slim to none. Not to say that if TD selects him, I won't be jumping up and down in celebration. I'm just not holding my breath. -
TD makes a comment on not having a 1st rd pick

No way we get Mike Williams. Our need for a wide receiver is not as great as the price would be to move up high enough to get him. Not going to happen. sorry. -

The 5 worst trades in Bills History?
BuckeyeBill replied to BF_in_Indiana's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I knew someone would say Bledsoe, but I didn't figure on the poster doing it. Bledsoe was NOT a bad trade. Bledsoe was a fantastic trade. We were desperate, we were about to start Alex Van Pelt on a 3-13 team. OUCH. Bledsoe brought immediate legitimacy to the position, inflated our ticket sales, and brought excitement back to Buffalo. Not to mention that he had a Probowl year, was good enough to inflate Peerless' numbers so we could get our first rounder back, and draft McGahee. Not to mention the other players who came to Buffalo, who probably would not have come if we didn't have a true quarterback. In hindsight, yes Bledsoe couldn't win the big one for us. Bledsoe couldn't even get us in the playoffs. But he was definitely worth the trade! -
Cincinnati is on the clock at 17... RING RING

Good point about the Surtain situation. If we want to see the value of NC on the open market, we need to look at comparable offers. Surtain is a good situation to look at, and the Dolphins don't look like they are making out too well. As for the rating system, Vincient definitely deserves a 5, especially if you gave a 5 to Clements and Milloy. Wouldn't mess up your numbers though... and the point is still valid. Just had to look out for TV here. -
We are good enough to win on our own merits. We don't have to beat teams that are tired or injured... we should be able to beat the best teams when they are rested and healthy. I truly believe we can.

I have such bad feelings about that game. You can blame it on Bledsoe, but JP didn't do so hot stepping in during clean up time. I can see Corey Dillon running all over our defense again. I don't even think I want to watch that game. But I shall, and bare the pain yet again at the hands of overrated Brady and company.

What Dolphin Fans Think of Buff-Miami Rivalry
BuckeyeBill replied to ChasBB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Very very good point. Fair weather fans don't care about rivalries. Fair weather fans don't even care about their team. Very few Dolphin fans are loyal, devoted, and crazy like Bills fans, Steeler fans, Browns fans, Packer fans. Many of the so called "Dolphin fans" probably have no clue who Bernie Parmalee is. No clue who Mark Duper is. No clue who Richmond Webb is. We do, because when we care about our team, we know our enemies... even better than they do. -

They did beat New England last year. I think they have the taste of Patriot blood in their mouth. -
Here's what I would like to see. Corey Dillon get hurt. Not a career ending thing, but a season ending thing. That would be amazing, because the Patriots would suck, and not even get a winning record. Nobody disagrees with that fact that Dillon (and I guess Viniateri) won the Superbowl for New England last year. They don't even make it without Dillon. If he gets hurt, they are screwed. Brady will have to come out and win games himself, which he has NEVER been able to do. Also, they have a weak Defensive Coordinator and no Offensive Coordinator. If Dillon gets hurt, I guarantee Buffalo wins the division. Alas, but a dream.

You are the GM of the Philadelphia Eagles
BuckeyeBill replied to Like A Mofo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Make him play out his contract. Make him realize that his best option to win, with with Phili; the best position he can be in, is with Phili... and if he doesn't bite, tell him that they don't even really need him. They can win with him or without him. And I think that Eagles are too good of a team for a childish star to mess up the team Chemistry by pouting. -
Do any of you think its good for JP

I hope you are right. -
Holy Crap, it's an Enzyte commercial
BuckeyeBill replied to VABills's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I hate those Enzyte commericals now that you bring them up. They make me want to shoot myself... wait, not me... them. -
No problem with no lighters on airplanes. Shouldn't be smoking on airplanes at all.
-
No, it means that he wants to be ARUGABLY, the best at his position, go to many Probowls, win a few Superbowls, and be destined to go to the Hall of Fame. Not too shabby Willis.
-
Very very good point. TD likes to play his cards close to his chest. Nobody knows what will happen.
-
I agreed with you completely... until... saying that TH was only worth a 3rd or a 4th round pick. That is insanity. TH is almost guaranteed 1000 yards next year for any team that he plays on. He had over 2800 yards in two years with us. What 4th round pick is guaranteed that?? You are right, he is not worth a 2nd and a 3rd. Even Cory Dillon wasn't worth that.

Who is the Hottest "ER" Babe?
BuckeyeBill replied to The Poojer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Can't believe ER is still running. Do they have anyone left from the original year? I'd have to say that Linda girl. DAAAANGG!!! -
Demeaning... yeah you are right. Convicts do deserve a better life for killing someone than they did before. No more manual labor, just sit and enjoy their cable, weight-lifting, and occasional congical (sp?) visits. While people work hard to get the 3 square meals a day, can't afford a gym membership, and try to watch their normal TV with 2-3 fuzzy channels. Our system is screwed up.

One of the best Bledsoe quotes I've
BuckeyeBill replied to stevestojan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Some of you people make me sick. I'm going to stand up for Bledsoe here. He was NOT immobile. He did get sacked a lot, but that's because our line sucked BIG TIME!! Yes, there were times when he should have thrown the ball away, and took the sack... but I would say that he didn't exactly perform poor in the pocket. Do I think that Bledsoe was the best, no way... do I think that he was average... I would say a little better than average. I remember many times when I was like... "OH no, not another sack", and then amazingly Bledsoe would get out of it and throw the ball to TH or someone else for a few yards. If you are disagreeing with me right now, ask yourself this question. Who performed better in the pocket, RJ or DB? No-brainer, Bledsoe was much better. And Johnson could run faster too. -
No, they go to the bathroom during the comercial breaks, duh.
