  1. Joe has the swag which can also be seen as cocky. Allen hasn’t been in the SB so he’s not going to be thrown in the mix quite yet. I don’t think i’ll ever forgive our coaches for effing up Allen’s legacy in those 13 seconds and OT. He should be in there.
  2. I keep hearing how HOT it is in LA. Hottest Super Bowl ever!! Isn’t the stadium air conditioned? Then i see the highs are around 82-85. Yes that’s warm in February i suppose, but not oppressive heat. And it’s SoCal. It’s typically year round sunny. Maybe it’s the visiting east coast media making a big deal about the heat.
  3. I believe it's the Edmonton Elks now... ya know,,,political correctness and all..
  4. Yep. My teenage son was celebrating and whooping it up with 13 seconds, and the kickoff. I said Dude, sit down and zip it until that clock shows 0:00. I had my head buried in my hoodie cringing. Now he knows about 0:00 for the rest of his life.
  5. Good stuff,. was wondering if Josh would make the rounds out there on radio row. Glad he is. From the Rome interview, It's a shame he can never look at the KC game as one of the best ever NFL playoff games. The 13 seconds... that loss gutted him.
  6. Watched an Emmanuel Sanders interview on Cowherd's show today. With 13 seconds to go, the offensive guys thought it was won. He said after the game, he was sitting in the lockerrom in a circle with Allen, Diggs and Gabe Davis. They were just staring off into space, in silence. No one could speak. They wanted someone to wake them from the nightmare they were experiencing. Couldn't believe it was real. If he does play anymore, he said he'd like to play for Buffalo but is still trying to decide on his future.
  7. Doesn't seem like it from everything you read. My fear is that the County, State and Bills organization are not thinking far enough into the future. The Bills are in a really good window right now with Allen, McDermott and Beane steering the ship. It's a possible Championship window of success. That won't last indefinitely. When things dip down the road, whose going to want to come to Buffalo willingly and play in the worst weather in the NFL? It might not matter right now, but someday it's going to be very beneficial to have this new stadium be a place where players and top coaches want to reside at. Given the choice, very few really want to play in a stadium where the last 4-5 games of the home schedule are rainy, freezing cold and/or windy.
  8. A good comparison I've seen is Troy Aikman. Burrow doesn't look spectacular, but he always seems to throw to the correct receiver and puts the ball in the correct location.. He's not a burner, but athletic enough to buy some time or get a clutch 1st down with his legs. Bottom line, he's obviously a winner and the Bengals would not even be sniffing the SB without him.
  9. Thats what i was speculating very early on when Flores sued. I think his problems/firing are a lot more about HIM and not about the color of his skin. I heard an interview with Mike Florio on Sirius today from the Super Bowl site. Even he is backing away. He said Flores’ lawyers aren’t looking out for him. They should have told him to sit on his frustrations for a while and not bring this public. Because he had a great chance to get another job this year or next. But the Ooops text from Belichek set him off. Said the lawyers seem to be relishing taking on the big NFL suits.
  10. on the FS1 show, Speak for Yourself....Marcellus Wiley and Acho are killing Flores and his lawyers today.
  11. I put a few bucks on the Bengals, now I’m interested. 😜
  12. Definitely not overreacting. As you see Bills coaches leave due to success, Davis Webb, etc.. all guys instrumental in Josh Allen's development, you realize how everything lined up so perfectly. The team was mostly healthy, they were peaking, coaches were in sync, all set to host the AFCCG against the upstart but underdog Bengals. The Bills have the better roster, they really do. Doesn't mean they would've won the game, but they had a great shot. Then the inexplicable 13 seconds that will haunt us forever. I think the AFC will be even harder to crack through next season. Cincinnati did what we were supposed to do last year or this year. Take advantage of the window when it's open now. No guarantees it will line up again next year.
  13. Browns have a tough decision. Before Baker got injured, he threw the ball just fine in the first couple games. He was spot on accurate. Then the shoulder injury, and he couldn’t throw anymore. Not sure why they even played him. If he does move on to another team, that club may be getting a pretty good QB assuming the surgery went well and he’s healed up.
  14. The only thing I like about the Pro Bowl is that the Buffalo helmet always looks good with the AFC uniform color scheme. It always matches up nicer than any other AFC team, except maybe KC.
  15. I’m convinced the only Asst coach movement comes from Buf, KC and the McVay/Shanahan trees
  16. Ha. I was at that Super Bowl. But still recall not feeling all that confident at halftime.
  17. Bruce has a good take on it. I recorded the game, just haven’t had the stomach to review and break it down yet. As i watched it live, i sorta had my hoodie tight over my head and was almost burying my face in disbelief. Maybe after the Super Bowl i’ll be ready to watch those last couple minutes and pay attention to what the Bills were doing.
  18. Yeah i’m just going off what i read online about a week ago. I could be wrong, but thought it indicated Josh and the amateurs would play all 3 courses Thu-Sat. Too confusing!
  19. I think there are 3 courses and all the Amateur participants were guaranteed to play through Saturday (each course). Then the field is cut down to the top Pro-AM scores for Sundays final round.
  20. Allen is a stud, Allen is amazing. Now Josh Allen needs to overcome something that is hard to put your finger on. It's the penchant for the Bills (and Buffalo teams in general) to fail in the biggest of moments. They can get there....they can get to the brink of a Championship, but he has to figure out a way to kick the door down. This year, with his play in the playoffs,,,I feel that he kicked it down, but his coaches failed him.. Which again, circles back to a Buffalo sports intangible that he will have to overcome to get a Super Bowl.
  21. on ESPN Get Up, they are debating whether Flores will still get a head coaching job in the NFL, maybe even this cycle. Um, I don't think so. You can't blame the Texans, Saints, Jags, etc... Why would they want to bring this drama into their organizations?
  22. I don't doubt that minority candidates have a tough time landing head coach and executive jobs. It's a relationship business and there's a lot of nepotism involved. There's a lot of good white candidates that get frozen out too because they don't have an "in" with the right people. Bottom line, I think some of the issues happening to Flores are more about HIM, rather than his skin color. The whole thing about paying him to tank is on another level entirely and should be investigated by the NFL of course.
  23. Just from my couch it seemed like the Bengals made Mahomes extremely uncomfortable in the pocket from that final 1st half play through the end of OT. It’s like the Cinci defense played a mind trick on Mahomes. The Bills defenders showed the KC receivers way too much respect in our game. That has to stop.
  24. Jeez, you forget just how young Josh Allen is as he describes growing up in a SF 49ers house but never actually saw Steve Young play for the 49ers. he was just a little kid as Steve retired.
  25. The Rooney rule to me always has been about "checking a box". But I also believe the cream rises to the top and the best, smartest and most talented people ultimately land in charge as head coaches, GM's, etc. Flores was already hired as a head coach, did ok, but was fired. It didn't make sense to me, i thought he did a decent job in Miami but it sounded like there was personality issues with him and that organization. I'm not so sure his situation is about skin color,,,, and not moreso about HIM.
