  1. So do you think Moulds did anything wrong? If Moulds isn't part of his plan, why should he play? He might as well sit on the bench, right? Comparing them to the Giants last year, Eli replaced Warner, but I'm can't remember anything comparable to Moulds.
  2. I think that is an MLB rule you're thinking of, but I'm not sure. And there are exceptions, like Huizenga. Who are the next two below Golisano? We haven't heard of them in NYC.
  3. And Denver's LT is an undrafted TE.
  4. Moulds knows he won't be back next year, definitely not at his current salary, probably not unless he goes to the league minimum, which he doesn't deserve at this point and after all his years of sevice. He was told that the years at the end of his deal were payment for a decade of a small market and a merry-go-round at QB. Pissed enough that he's going to be cut - and I think this is probably acknowledged in the locker room and front office - he wants a chance to play for a new contract with another team, which will be hard if people think his skills are declining based on numbers. So, with the team out of the race, he wants more balls his way, thinking the team owes him at least that much, for the chance to start somewhere else. Not saying I agree, but I can see his point. Discuss...
  5. I think a reason to expect the Bills to beat the Jets is that JP is playing to get better every week. Brooks knows he won't be back at QB and won't have much to play for. I just don't think the Bills lose out. Also, I said in a different thread on this topic, I don't see Green Bay winning two more. You can make a case for this week and next, but do you really think Favre won't throw one of those away? When I was trying to figure this out at work today, I came up with the Bills drafting 8th if they go 5-11 and 11th if they go 6-10. What do you think of those cases, Kzoo?
  6. Wasn't it Nate lining up on him on 3rd and 10? And wasn't Milloy the deep help?
  7. I think it's funny that he makes the best argument I've seen for Tom Modrak by argunig how little influence he has in decision making. Basically, he says he has nothing to do with pro scouting. Also, he just organizes the draft board but doesn't advise on final say on draft picks. He makes a good point about Modrak's pay being higher than some GM's. Maybe RW isn't that cheap.
  8. Count me and my father as 2. We make the trip from New jersey - 7 hours each way - and have done it when the Bills had little chance of winning because we believed they were trying to win. Keeping TD another year demonstrates we have fallen to the Lions' level of complacency with losing. There are better ways to spend $1500 a year (including travel).
  9. Off topic, but I don't give any credit to Coughlin for the Giants success this year. THE WAY he will be let go is if a new GM is brought in and wants his own guy. That was THE WAY Wade Phillips was let go after three years, two playoff appearances, and a 29-19 record.
  10. I came up with 4th. I don't see GB losing two more, and that last game being worth four positions - 4th or 8th.
  11. He's a great choice. Talk is he's very happy at Iowa, though. The last two SB-winning head coaches - Belichik and Gruden were retreads. So were Vermeil and Shanahan. i don't like retreads eiter, but they do better than virgins.
  12. He tried to build the defensive line, at least - five first day picks.
  13. I don't think it's that important to have a list of GM candidates in hand. There's usually about one or two hot names, like the personnel director from Baltimore last year. Usually, personnel directors and head scouts are the most likely to become GM's, and how many of them has anyone heard of? I might be the only one on this board that thinks RW will break with his historically cheap ways to hire the best GM/coach he can because he wants to win and is not concerned with leaving maybe $20 mil less to the kids, who will already be getting, what, half a billion?
  14. Parrish, Evans, and Reed? Please. And Greer, King, and McGee, too. Some day, tehy'll come up with a procedure to give them some of Bennie's and Mike's size.
  15. I think watching TD comment on the Bills' draft on ESPN should be PPV.
  16. So why couldn't Fletcher cover Chambers this week? Was the defense fundamentally different?
  17. How much did Milloy and Vincent play? And did they look injured?
  18. Anyone want to explain how he can shut down Steve Smith one week and get run over by Chambers the next? I just don't get it.
  19. I was thinking...McGahee and our first (say it'll end up around 10) for Bush, do you do it? From what I've seen - admittedly not a lot - Ngata is the top DT and he's only expected to go around 10-12 right now. So, if we are set at going for DT, then a pick around 7 could result in us reaching. How deep is this draft considered to be? Will there be a bunch of teams looking to move up? We need a Batman-like beacon to get Clump into the thread.
  20. It's almost as ridiculous as giving up that many to Jimmy Smith on 4th down - when everyone in the stadium knew where that was going, too.
  21. How much of that 10.8 is saved if he is cut? I'm not sure Moulds catches another pass as a Bill.
  22. I'll side with Kzoo, for the next four weeks, I want JP to either win it or lose it for us.
