  1. I think the #1 reason for letting TD go is the bottom line. 30-48 going on 30-50. I don't think anything else matters. To replace him, I think the options should be: 1. Top flight coaching candidate, given full roganizational contol. This category would include the Jeff Fishers of the world. 2. The personnel director from Chicago, if category 1 is not available.
  2. I think Clayton blames the Bills for ruining Donahoe's rep - he likes Donahoe. That's why when Clayton says something, like that, you know Mularkey is gone.
  3. You're arguing Mike Nolan? I agree though - experience doesn't guarantee success, and visa versa.
  4. Russ Grimm? Thar's a bunch of Mularkey. I can't believe I'm the only one to pick Ferentz. I think we need a more likely list of candidates.
  5. I don't get why you don't think we could end up drafting higher.
  6. That's like saying if a kid gets and A in math, the only reason he gets a C in English is lack of effort. In business, everyone can win. in fact, that's how economies grow. Competition is healthy. There are not defined winners and losers, as there are in football. And most of the other owners made their money, too, by being shrewd businessmen. If he measured the success of this franchise by proifits, we wouldn't be having this debate, because they would be the Los Angeles Bills.
  7. If there are 32 owners that want to win - and I believe there are at least 28-30 - then there will be winners and losers regardless of effort. We can't all be winners, but that doesn't mean we're not trying. Right?
  8. i disagree with a lot of your rankings, but that's been covered. But just one example - the difference between SD in 2003 and 2004, when they went from 4-12 to 12-4, the only players on your list that they added were gates and McCardell, not that McCardell is elite. That's why we believe the Bills are only a gates away, as is every team in this league.
  9. Not to pick on you, but what has made anyone think Ralph is content with losing as long as the stadium sells out?
  10. The most important move this offseason will be the new head coach and GM. Who do you see that being, Kzoo?
  11. This doesn't change anything. The point stands that if this play would've happened, it would be another knock on Moulds.
  12. I saw it, and I liked it. I feel a solidarity between our causes.
  13. Two points: TO has never won anything. He's been to the conference championship once in ten years. Why would someone who has one chance left to win (I don't think this is true, but you said so) come to a 4-win team with an unproven quarterback?
  14. Yes. He just didn't want to give up all leverage in this interview. He did say that he wants to stay with the Jets, knowing how far they will be over the cap. Put it together.
  15. Pick one to bring to the Bills: Indy's O, D, or ST Pick one to bring to the Bills: SD's O, D, or ST
  16. "The one thing you know is they are going to be a hard-nosed, tough football team,'' Polian said. "That is the hallmark of what George Allen and Marv Levy taught us: run the ball, play tough defense and be outstanding on special teams. It's in our DNA.'' Aren't these teams built on passing a lot to open up the running game and having a defense that allows less than you score?
  17. I like the overall point, but I think this comparison is poor. As much as you want to pin it on the Bills, it works both ways. Martin is willing to accept a substantial pay cut. Moulds, it seems, isn't (but who knows?). Second, Moulds still envisions himself as a starter, and rightfully so. Martin does not.
  18. The biggest moves we will make this offseason will be in the front office and on the sidelines. Here's to hoping Ralph spend more on his next coach than he does on Jeff Posey.
  19. Back to ESPN, if you want to complain about them, I won't be able to convince you otherwise, but about 24 hours before they were scrolling Holcomb to start, they were scrolling JP to undergo MRI. So, they can expect the fans to put them together. Same with NFL live. The day before, they said Losman hurt his shoulder and would be tested. Why they don't love Losman is because there's not much to love about this team right now.
  20. Eating money is not the same as handing it out. That money was paid to Mike four years ago. The only place it still exists is in the fantasy land of salary caps. Ralph would actually have to keep signing checks for Mularkey until he gets a job.
  21. I like the theory behind the draft without knowing too much about individual players. I also like that you kept to their projected draft positions, not assuming we're going to get any great steals. A couple of thinks I would change: 1. I don't want another small receiver, even in the 7th round. There are almost always small-school big receivers worth a flier there. 2. I would switch the priority of the DE and LB and also look for more size in each. Other than that, I like that our safties aro over 6'1 and our OL's are under 300 pounds. If only it was this easy, Kzoo.
  22. The Bills were 8-8 when Donahoe came to town, making the playoffs the two prior seasons.
