  1. Man, how I loved watching that guy play! He’s one of my all time favorite Bill. I never got tired of hearing “What a catch by Moulds!”. The guy had a nose for the end zone.
  2. I bet that they want to slide down, grab some extra pick(s) and then take 1 of them OL. Remember, they spent a boatload of money on Bell, I’m sure that they want to make him effective.
  3. I sure hope not and I don’t think so. Based on Shady’’s and him and Gore’s age I’d like to think that this is an insurance addition.
  4. Read EXACTLY what I said. Whaley publicly saying that he didn’t or doesn’t know should be embarrassing for him. He is SUPPOSE to know and if he doesn’t then at least shut your mouth about it, don’t confess that you didn’t know!
  5. I’m not even going to bemoan that he passed on Mahomes but it never ceases to amaze when I hear him say publicly that he didn’t know. It’s almost comical. http://www.espn.com/nfl/draft2019/story/_/id/26561055/drafting-patrick-mahomes-how-chiefs-outmaneuvered-nfl?platform=amp
  6. If the Bills’ were to trade for Gerald McCoy then draft Williams at #9 then that wouldn’t be too hateful, filling/strengthening 2 areas of DL/OL.
  7. I guess I was wrong, I thought Jawaan Taylor was the OL to get in this draft. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2019/04/21/jonah-williams-takes-preparation-to-the-next-level/
  8. I’m a huge J Hughes fan, my sons as well. No doubt the guy is a beast but there could be a few things not in his favor as of now. Beane inherited Hughes and Shaq for better or for worse, Hughes for the better, Shaq, hmm, it kind of seems that Beane hasn’t committed enough to him yet for my liking. Keep in mind that Jerry is coming up for a new contract.
  9. Seems like that’s McBeane’s philosophy as well. Tre’Davious, Edmunds but nothing on the DL. I think that a trade up could very well be in play here for the Bills. Tampa’s area code is 727, Beane better get on the phone.
  10. Oakland and Detroit swap QBs, Carr to Detroit, Stafford to Oakland, proper compensation to be negotiated. Gruden inherited Carr but Stafford is a better fit for Gruden’s offense, the long ball, AB etc etc. The Raiders draft RB Josh Jacobs with the 24th pick overall. Carr on the other hand is better suited for the short game, the kind that the Patriots like to run. The Lions draft Andy Isabella and groom him to be Amendola’s eventual replacement. This trade of QBs puts the top of the draft in a tailspin, unexpected trades unfold because of it.
  11. Who would want this guy, all he does is catch TDs. https://youtu.be/PCoi5mhwCzY
  12. Here’s an interesting article on the escalation of compensation for QBs. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2019/04/16/quarterback-market-has-exploded-in-less-than-two-years/
  13. I’m not but maybe you or someone else could start a post and elaborate on this point a bit more. A team should consider drafting a starting QB regardless if they already currently have a franchise QB. Baltimore came the closest to doing this just last year only they traded Flacco instead of grooming Jackson for a year. Another example was the drafting of Aaron Rodgers who eventually replaced Farve. I think that Baltimore should have kept Flacco for anther year and then traded him. Having your replacement already in place would only motivate an incumbent player to play at a higher level, hence driving up his trade value in the following year. Staying with the Baltimore scenario for a moment to emphasize the point they should now still be receptive to drafting a high projected QB in the next 2 to 3 drafts. Keep this perpetual motion going at the most highly profiled and paid position in the NFL. Obtain and start grooming Jackson’s potential replacement so when Jackson’s rookie contract expires the team will have options. Another concept that was similiar philosophy was when Mike Shanahan was with Washington and they drafted RGIII and Cousins in the same draft. Teams and their administrators are going to have to come up with better leverage because these monster contracts are going to gut teams. With all that being Wilson deserves that contract, he consistently elevates that team.
  14. A trade down like this could possibly net the Bills some great players. A. Clowney or possibly Clark. B. K’Neal Harry. C. Erik McCoy. D. Jaylon Ferguson. E. ITV Smith Jr. To be able to secure the last 3 of these players the Bills would probably have to bungle some of their remaining draft picks to accomplish something of this nature but it would be worth it imo.
  15. Well, maybe the Bills could use the same concept with another player like Clark or even someone else.
  16. What I’m thinking is that we get to address 2 needs instead of just 1. We have the luxury of having the money to spend in a case like this. I don’t disagree with this. I’m just trying to draw up the guidelines, I’m hoping that people like you could come up with the specifics.
  17. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2019/04/14/report-clowney-texans-not-close/ As the draft nears there still is anybody’s guess on what the Bills are going to do. I’m torn on what is more important for the Bills, offense or defense. Here’s a basic idea that I would like to see happen. Please feel free to tweak, edit or even disagree all together, your input is welcomed. The Texans’ 1st rd pick is #23. What if the Bills would trade down with them and throw in next year’s 2nd rd pick and if needed maybe a later rd pick (5th rder?) in this year’s draft or next? The Texans and Clowney apparently are very far apart and even if they do resolve it Clowney’s contract would be expensive. Maybe both GMs, Brian Gaine and Brandon Beane can work something out fairly for both clubs. Making a trade like could accomplish a few things for the Bills. First off they obtain a high impact DL who is still young but with NFL experience. Secondly the Bills would be able to kill 2 birds with 1 stone, obtain a big time DL and also draft a high impact offensive rookie. If a trade like this could go down then I would love to see the Bills draft someone like WR K’Neal Harry. With their 2nd rd pick an OL like Erik McCoy would be a great addition and insurance. This opens up drafting a top talent at the TE position in the 3rd rd or even in a trade up. A RB could be in play as well. In the 3rd and/or 4th rd could still net a good talent for the DL or LB position. In any event I’m just offering up a rough draft/concept on acquiring big talent on both sides of the ball in the early part of the draft.
  18. Bills’ fans, players, we stick together. I like it!
  19. Great debatable question! I’m thinking we use our 1st on the DL and then use the majority on the offense. If we can get 3-4 valuable offensive players in this draft by any means available to us, trading play(s), moving up in the draft by packaging picks in this year’s draft and/or next year’s, then I’m all for it. I would stop short of using next year’s 1st rd pick though. The window of opportunity is not that big with players on a roster (3-5 years?). I want to utilize the Jerry Hughes, Micah Hyde, Jordan Poyer and especially the tandem of McCoy and Gore.
  20. Wouldn’t want anyone else for the QB of my favorite team! Go Bills!
  21. Here’s a highlight of him. I can’t say anything negative about him, I’d be very happy if the Bills were to get him but to me, and for the Bills, K’Neal Harry is the WR in this draft to get. What stands out about Harry is how strong his hands are, shades of Larry Fitzgerald/Tony Gonzalez. I will say that Brown especially looks like a very smart player, he doesn’t seem to get lost in a play and knows what to do with the ball after he catches it. Oops, I forgot to post the highlight! Lol!
  22. Obviously the main goal is better protection for Josh but after watching last season’s highlights it’s quite apparent that in the games with the Dolphins, and the Jets as well, Josh made them look stupid plenty of times. It looked like several of them on both teams underestimated Josh and his athletic abilities, all except for Kiko. Imo he’s a dirty player so anything that he did do, or at least tried to do, fits his dirty style of play but between already having sore feelings towards Buffalo and towards McCoy he really was trying to take out Josh a few different times, especially when time after time Josh was turning him inside out. The same with with the Jets. One player in particular, I forget which one, I think it was their Safety, seemed pretty frustrated with Josh and looked like he wanted to lay the wood on Allen as well. Those highlights in particular made me realize that those 2 teams in particular are going to be much better prepared this year against Josh, as well as the rest of the NFL. Beane made sure that just about every OL that he signed has noted as having a nasty disposition. I wouldn’t be surprised if that one of the expectations that was emphasize to every FA OL that he brought in was they want OL that will be bodyguards before, during and after the play. I think that not only is Beane smart enough to know that there’s danger waiting for Josh, especially in our own division, and that instead of just having OL stick up and protect him but rather have OL that will set the tone and even be the aggressors, or should I dare say the bullies. Putting teams on notice that that cheap crap isn’t going to be tolerated. At at least that is what I would hope is happening because I am very concerned about Josh’s health this year because of what I saw so far from last year. IF the Bills were to take an OL with their first pick this year then I would expect it to be Jawaan Taylor over Jonah Williams because of his demeanor, and to me his talent. Go Bills!
  23. It gives me chills watching Allen’s highlights! The future is here! No more waiting!
  24. Just a thought to add to your post. There’s 2 players out there I’m curious where they end up, I could see either or both in Buffalo. The Bills have at different times shown interest in both of them. The first is Jaylon Ferguson, he looks quite impressive and the Bills were one of many teams interested in him. I would think that a 4th rd pick would be a steal for this guy. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2019/04/08/jaylon-ferguson-visiting-bills-with-giants-and-others-to-follow/ The 2nd player is WR Jalen Robinette. He just seems to fit so much of what McBeane wants in a player. A 6th, possibly a 7th rd pick would make him one of those low risk, high ceiling type player. https://www.playerprofiler.com/nfl/jalen-robinette/ http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2019/04/09/jalen-robinette-looking-to-begin-football-career-after-military-commitment/
  25. One of the funniest lines from the movie “Arthur”. What a great movie that was. Lol!
