  1. I didn’t intend to throw any shade on McConkey, I misspoke there. I was really hoping and looking forward for Beane to find a way to draft Brian Thomas Jr but at this point I’m getting the feeling that is probably just a pipe dream. I wouldn’t be unhappy if Beane does end up just taking McConkey.
  2. I understand but boy oh boy a few years back this guy was making incredible catches. I still think if Beane doesn’t make WR a huge priority in the draft then he better bring in some kind of experienced WRs to add to this group. I saw somebody mention OBJ which would be great but not if he’s looking for big money.
  3. After hearing Old Beane talking in his PC it doesn’t strike me as a guy who is looking to be over aggressive in the draft. If he does seem to settle for a 2nd/3rd tier as he indicates then I would think a veteran would be helpful as a safety net. At one point Robinson had some decent value but has fallen off in the last few years. Is he a product of getting lost in the shuffle and/or landing up with inexperienced/journeymen (Pittsburgh) QBs? I dunno know if any of that is applicable but I do think that if Beane settles for somebody like McConkey then adding a veteran would hold some value for this offense.
  4. Aw man, I liked Phillips, I just wish that could stay healthy. Best of luck #97, it was fun while it lasted!
  5. Actually this draft is suppose to be heavy with OL so this makes a ton of sense. Nice point. I don’t think that if Beane were to trade up it would be just solely just draft pick(s). I could see a player or maybe even 2 used in trading up coupled with pick(s). Thanks for the input.
  6. Here are the 5 worse secondaries from last year ranked. #28 Colts #29 Giants #30 Cardinals #31 Raiders #32 Bears if so it would soften the compensation it would take to move up with any of these teams. How Elam’s value is perceived is something I’d be curious to know.
  7. Size, speed and being a former 1st rd pick. Coming out of college he was suppose to be a AJ Brown clone. Obviously he’s not so far but at one point he was considered to be. Minimal investment is worth a consideration.
  8. One other aspect that could be attractive for Beane, Burks signed a 4 year 14+M contract with half of it already paid (7+M) out. Burks is making just over 3M @ year which would be another benefit for the cash strapped Bills.
  9. The Titans traded for Calvin Ridley which doesn’t bode well for Burks. Having DeAndre Hopkins, Ridley and the #7 pick overall in this year’s draft puts them in the right position to select one of the top 3 WRs. I believe that Beane is going to move up in the draft for either Brian Thomas Jr or Adonai Mitchell but adding another WR is still a real possibility. Being a former 1st rd pick that hasn’t stayed healthy makes Burks expendable. If Beane could get him cheap that would be a low risk high ceiling WR prospect for the Bills imo.
  10. I don’t have time to figure out how to post a picture of Jefferson at Buffalo’s airport but I didn’t think it was him anyways so I confirmed it with my son who is a big LSU fan and he said that it’s definitely not Jefferson so scrap all that, I didn’t even want to say it but some here wanted to know why I thought Beane was ready to explode. With all that said I responded in Virgil’s previous post titled NFL Trade Chart-For Those Who Are Interested. Here’s what I think is very possible. Thanks for posting this! Since the Diggs’ trade I’ve pondering Beane’s rationale and of course a trade up in the draft is almost a guarantee. Under that assumption I came up with some possibilities, 3 as a matter of fact. When Beane gave up his 1st rd pick for Diggs it almost killed him. He was itching so bad during that draft. I remember him stopping just short of saying that he would never give up a 1st rder again unless it was in an extreme circumstance. Well, here we are! What I believe what Beane might be thinking is he can trade next year’s 1st rd pick this year because he has 2 2nd rd picks next year that he can pair up and get back into the 1st rd again. Just food for thought. Scenario #1. Using the above chart Beane goes COMPLETELY all in and makes a trade with the Bears at #9. The Bears only have 4 picks in the entire draft so I could see them moving back to acquire more picks. This serves twofold, it gets them one of the top 3 WRs in the draft and it also leapfrogs the Jets at #10 who very well could be taking one of the top WRs themselves. My guess would be it’s for Rome Odunze. Scenario #2. Once again Beane makes another leapfrog move and trades up with the Saints at #14 just before the Colts at #15. In this scenario it’s for LSU WR Brian Thomas Jr. Based on LSU WRs in the past (Chase & Jefferson) being so pro ready I believe that this is our best option for Diggs’ replacement. Git ‘er done Beanie! Scenario #3. The Bills just stand pat at #28 and draft Georgia WR Ladd McConkey. Under this scenario I would think that the Bills would also make a trade for a veteran like Brandon Aiyuk. I won’t venture what the compensation would be but the Bills but I would imagine that Buffalo will have enough resources left to get a trade like this done. Personally I like Scenario #2 the best and that’s what I’m hoping for.
  11. Ok, you guys asked for it. I’m not saying this so don’t hold me accountable! It’s a supposedly a picture of Jefferson at Buffalo’s airport. I got to go to an appointment and tech illiterate so I’m having trouble posting the picture. Personally I don’t think it’s him but I’ll figure it out later and post it. Remember I’m not saying it and a few of you asked for this!
  12. If I shared what I came across than I would only be feeding the rumor treadmill. The point is even if that is all bs it doesn’t matter. What matters is just knowing Beane and he’s not taking this laying down, he’s gonna come up with a big time shocker, just expect it.
  13. This is the calm before the storm! If anyone thinks that Beane is just gonna let this whole Diggs thing go down without him having something up his sleeve than they are sadly underestimating him. Oh it’s coming, there’s no doubt in my mind. There’s a couple of speculations that I came across and 1 or 2 of them makes perfect sense so if if it’s either one of them than I’m quite confident it’ll be something of that magnitude. Look at Beane’s track record, he’s not afraid to make these shocking decisions and/or trades. It’s coming!
  14. I wouldn’t put nothing past Beane but it does take two to tango and with that being said I don’t know if the Bills have enough resources to move up that far for the Giants to be willing to move all the way back to #28. I’d be against it but I would think that one of our players like a Greg Rosseau would have to be a part of the compensation.

  16. It was a little surprising for me to see Damien Harris just up and retire like he did but Dobbins would be a great replacement for him. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/j-k-dobbins-cleared-for-football-activities-will-begin-free-agent-visits-soon
  17. I agree with just about everything you stated but there’s way too much unknown (contract value/verbage) to make an intelligent decision but that divisional rd game against the Chiefs where he got pushed right into Josh really pissed me off, he’s been talking way too much for my liking.
  18. Correct me if I’m wrong but I thought that the Packers gave us Douglas and their 5th Rd pick for our 3rd Rd pick. If so that’s quite the value for us.
  19. Generally speaking I don’t know of another team that had more plug-n-plays than the Bills. It was getting nauseating hearing about all the injuries Miami has suffered. The Bills’ injuries happen long before and most, not all, seem to have forgotten about that, especially that it happened to so many star players for this team. I think Beane has outdid himself this year, it’s incredible how this team still keeps moving forward.
  20. In all the aftermath I haven’t seen much talk about Beane. Specifically Rasul Douglas and now Harty have helped keep this thing going. I’m sure that there has been a few other plays/players that have contributed this year but those two in particular really stand out.
  21. I think that this is a real possibility and to me it would indicate that they are supporting McDermott. I think that this just might be the biggest “us against the world” statement that the Bills have made in quite some time. Go Bills!
  22. To me it would be a scary thought. IMO Diggs and Mahomes would be lethal!
  23. Everywhere he went he turned a disorganized team/franchise around. I posted before that this team has no discipline, I think that within the first 5 penalties Dawkins had two of them. It’s nauseating that every time this offense gets going, especially early in the game, they refuse to let success roll their way. I can’t remember ever seeing anything like it consistently. Parcells, amongst many other attributes, believed in being a disciplinarian. If a RB fumbled he went to the bench, if a WR dropped passes he didn’t get to see the field, etc etc. on top of all that McDermott has brought this team/franchise as far as he’s capable of. The rest of anything I can say would only be redundant of what many here have already posted or are aware of. It’s a shame that the Bills had the Eagles beat in their own home despite of the ridiculous officiating just to let it all just disappear into another embarrassing loss. When is enough enough??! Smh.
  24. It was unheard of when Cleveland gave Watson a totally guaranteed contract so how about one that has penalties in addition to the incentives? I bet Josh would be a little bit more careful with the ball instead of just throwing it into triple coverage. Of course Josh shouldn’t be the only one being referenced to, he just happens to be the biggest one. The OL, too many false starts, deduct time. Dropped passes (Gabe Davis), before he’s benched tax his sorry butt. Right down the line, it doesn’t matter who the player or team is, nobody should be exempt. Hey, contracts are loaded with incentives, do extra good get extra money, then they should get penalized when they make stupid plays. It wouldn’t surprise me that we’d be seeing a lot cleaner football instead of seeing a shrug of the shoulders and acting like oh well.
  25. They are undisciplined. It can be debated that McDermott is the problem, which in a way he is solely based on the team being undisciplined. Others point the finger directly at Dorsey which I won’t deny. Could Josh be responsible for a good dose of mistake filled games? This point of view I can understand as well and last but not least that as a whole the team really doesn’t have great players and/or contributors outside of Diggs which I personally don’t agree with. No, it’s being undisciplined. Undisciplined teams do not win consistently or convincingly. That 4th down penalty on Jordan Phillips was the icing on the cake for me. I have zero expectations for this team. If there isn’t a drastic change or improvement with this team in being disciplined they are going nowhere. In this scenario McDermott is solely responsible for them being a mess and either he addresses it and gets it corrected or he doesn’t and that people is the biggest problem with this team.
