  1. It was a little surprising for me to see Damien Harris just up and retire like he did but Dobbins would be a great replacement for him. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/j-k-dobbins-cleared-for-football-activities-will-begin-free-agent-visits-soon
  2. I agree with just about everything you stated but there’s way too much unknown (contract value/verbage) to make an intelligent decision but that divisional rd game against the Chiefs where he got pushed right into Josh really pissed me off, he’s been talking way too much for my liking.
  3. Correct me if I’m wrong but I thought that the Packers gave us Douglas and their 5th Rd pick for our 3rd Rd pick. If so that’s quite the value for us.
  4. Generally speaking I don’t know of another team that had more plug-n-plays than the Bills. It was getting nauseating hearing about all the injuries Miami has suffered. The Bills’ injuries happen long before and most, not all, seem to have forgotten about that, especially that it happened to so many star players for this team. I think Beane has outdid himself this year, it’s incredible how this team still keeps moving forward.
  5. In all the aftermath I haven’t seen much talk about Beane. Specifically Rasul Douglas and now Harty have helped keep this thing going. I’m sure that there has been a few other plays/players that have contributed this year but those two in particular really stand out.
  6. I think that this is a real possibility and to me it would indicate that they are supporting McDermott. I think that this just might be the biggest “us against the world” statement that the Bills have made in quite some time. Go Bills!
  7. To me it would be a scary thought. IMO Diggs and Mahomes would be lethal!
  8. Everywhere he went he turned a disorganized team/franchise around. I posted before that this team has no discipline, I think that within the first 5 penalties Dawkins had two of them. It’s nauseating that every time this offense gets going, especially early in the game, they refuse to let success roll their way. I can’t remember ever seeing anything like it consistently. Parcells, amongst many other attributes, believed in being a disciplinarian. If a RB fumbled he went to the bench, if a WR dropped passes he didn’t get to see the field, etc etc. on top of all that McDermott has brought this team/franchise as far as he’s capable of. The rest of anything I can say would only be redundant of what many here have already posted or are aware of. It’s a shame that the Bills had the Eagles beat in their own home despite of the ridiculous officiating just to let it all just disappear into another embarrassing loss. When is enough enough??! Smh.
  9. It was unheard of when Cleveland gave Watson a totally guaranteed contract so how about one that has penalties in addition to the incentives? I bet Josh would be a little bit more careful with the ball instead of just throwing it into triple coverage. Of course Josh shouldn’t be the only one being referenced to, he just happens to be the biggest one. The OL, too many false starts, deduct time. Dropped passes (Gabe Davis), before he’s benched tax his sorry butt. Right down the line, it doesn’t matter who the player or team is, nobody should be exempt. Hey, contracts are loaded with incentives, do extra good get extra money, then they should get penalized when they make stupid plays. It wouldn’t surprise me that we’d be seeing a lot cleaner football instead of seeing a shrug of the shoulders and acting like oh well.
  10. They are undisciplined. It can be debated that McDermott is the problem, which in a way he is solely based on the team being undisciplined. Others point the finger directly at Dorsey which I won’t deny. Could Josh be responsible for a good dose of mistake filled games? This point of view I can understand as well and last but not least that as a whole the team really doesn’t have great players and/or contributors outside of Diggs which I personally don’t agree with. No, it’s being undisciplined. Undisciplined teams do not win consistently or convincingly. That 4th down penalty on Jordan Phillips was the icing on the cake for me. I have zero expectations for this team. If there isn’t a drastic change or improvement with this team in being disciplined they are going nowhere. In this scenario McDermott is solely responsible for them being a mess and either he addresses it and gets it corrected or he doesn’t and that people is the biggest problem with this team.
  11. This post needs to be pinned. 54M to a TE who can’t catch. I love so much about Knox but this is ridiculous. When are they going to realize that this guy can’t catch the ball?? I’m over the popularity contest, now I’m firmly entrenched in the production contest. It’s long overdue in calling out some of these players and off the top of my head right now Knox heads this list. I almost forgot, Gabe Davis is right behind him. I’m going to start calling Davis Houdini because I have never seen a #2 WR disappear as much and as long as Davis does. Especially Davis, these guys are paid to catch the ball first and foremost. It’s like hiring a salesman that can’t sell, a plumber that can’t plumb etc etc.
  12. Bills 33 Jets 16 NY’s stout DL ends up getting a safety early on but then The Alien steps up and takes over the game. The Bills has plenty of opportunities on offense but up end with more FGs then they should, a couple of botched drives end in a FG when a TD was realistic. Gabe Davis becomes the mvp outside of Josh. Diggs is smothered by extra coverage but still breaks a 100 TDs and a tuddy. James Cook does an adequate job to help move the chains when called upon. Cook finishes 85 combined yrds and a TD. Kincaid catches 5 balls for 112 yds/0 TDs and Bass hits a couple of 40 & 50 yd fgs but misses an extra point. The defense gets a couple picks off of Rodgers but gets gashed for 2 considerably long runs and a score by Dalvin. The Bills win and play pretty good but there’s a couple of things that they would like to clean. If any of this, especially the score, is even remotely close I’ll be ecstatic. Go Bills!
  13. I believe that it was Pete Carroll who wanted Russell Wilson to wear one and Wilson didn’t want to.
  14. Since Diggs has been back this year I have really liked everything that I have seen of him and that wasn’t always the case before. I had doubts about this year but not anymore, it just seems different this year and it starts with Diggs. If the Bills achieve great success this year I truly believe a lot of it is going to be because of HIM, not just because of what he can do personally but because of HIM pushing his teammates to greater heights, getting more out of the other players.
  15. When I first started seeing that some were questioning how good the Bills are and how they may fare in the play-offs my thoughts were to scoff and be defensive. Now I see a small number of them are even predicting that the Bills aren’t even going to make the play-offs. The Jets, and Miami is closely behind them, are gathering momentum as the hot flavor of the month. This started me to wonder if there could be any truth to any of this. Although the Jets are vastly improved and have given us tough games throughout the years there’s only 2 of their players that concern me and that is Quinnen Williams and CJ Mosley. I started to buy in that there is could be something to this and it caused great doubt and concern in my thoughts of the Bills but then I remembered this. I saw an an interview with Josh Allen and he said that throughout whatever controversy/controversies (Diggs I think mostly?) that the kind of men that they have in the locker room he has confidence in them. This made a lot of sense when I thought about it. Too many people are talking about the Jets, including themselves. Who the freak are the Jets??!!! What I like the most is I don’t hear the Bills saying crap! I’m trying my hardest to keep this PG! Come Monday let’s see who really is the tough guys! Go Bills!
  16. All these national pundits can say whatever they want but everybody knows Diggs is extremely passionate and nobody can ever accuse him of being a liar. We all clearly heard him, he’s good and intends on retiring as a Buffalo Bill. ‘Nuff said.
  17. I don’t know of 1 person who had more knowledge about the NFL than Gil Brandt. He truly is an icon and is irreplaceable. Rip Gil, thanks for all your contributions and insights.
  18. That is a great freaking question!!! The return on these early round draft picks are absolutely garbage!!! To make matters worse to me is at that draft I wanted Buffalo to draft DT Christian Barmore and of course the Patriots drafted him to compound matters even more! We would have had to trade up for him but it would have been worth it! Now after 2 years we trade him for a late rd draft pick in next year’s draft??!!! This is too much, I like Beane but this has gone on far too long!
  19. This couldn’t be for trading for Jonathan Taylor now could it? It’s just unbelievable how the teams in our division makes all kinds of big moves and we do little to nothing. What is going on with this garbage??!!!
  20. Yeah, hopefully Beane is trading for Houston’s Larry Tunsil. Btw, I still believe in Santa Claus…
  21. If given the resources that Beane is given I’d be able to answer your question(s) more accurately but I’m not so I can’t. I will say that everything has a value and I’d be more than willing to insure that my star franchise QB would be protected beyond a shadow of a doubt. Meaning I would pay whatever it took to make sure Josh was protected. It’s not what’s available, it’s about what you’re willing to pay to make it available. Spencer Brown has done nothing to make me feel, and I’m pretty confident that many others feel the same, that he’s the solution at RT, he can’t even stay on the field for any great length of time. As far as Dion goes you better hope it was because of Saffold because if not then the Bills really do have a big problem. Beane did great at the G positions, much deserved credit but he has underwhelmed us at the T position imo.
  22. Let me start off saying that this is a business and like any business its success is determined by results. At any time under Beane’s watch did the OL ever stand out as stellar, I think not. Ok, let’s lower the standards, during any season what’s the best OL he ever assembled? What would you rate it? Let’s just say that it’s not has been one of his strengths. Resources has been spent during these seasons so I “applaud” the effort. Of course there is just so many draft picks during a draft that can be dedicated to the position but there is other ways to obtain talent. If be it trading one of the assets to ensure the health of your star franchise QB then so be it. What were your thoughts and feelings going into this season of the OL? Me, I wasn’t confident in it and I shouldn’t be. Spencer Brown was viewed as this player that HAS to be his year, not by anything that he has done or proven but because we HOPED he would be able to handle the position. What about Dawkins? I sure do like the guy but I haven’t seen anything that has stood out about him since he had Covid. To make matters worse I thought that he had a terrible year last year and the second half of it was downright horrendous. I want better results out of this position group, that’s not unreasonable. I’ve bragged about this team in so many ways over so many times but I have NEVER been impressed by Beane’s abilities or results concerning the OT. When we needed a better WR Beane made it happen, while we need a better OL and I’m not seeing it happening.
  23. Ok, I guess the real test will be the Jets’ DL against this impenetrable wall that we have as an OL. Me personally I don’t expect to like the results.
  24. Think about that. In its simplicity why is that? This has to be Beane’s biggest error/flaw and may just cost him his job. It’s very frustrating to just watch this underperforming OL and realize the results it’s going to bring.
