Hey Tigerj, thanks for the info. I'll be the 1st to admit that I don't too much about what actual talent is available in the draft. If there isn't a solid talent when we pick at the safety position then I would like to Buffalo fortify the LB position, especially the MLB spot. It wouldn't hurt to have a potential bright talent there for the future.

Maybe I missed something here. The post is asking for what position YOU would draft.

Let's see who has the best bead on this team. I say safety. Milloy is expensive and aging while Vincent already aged. Coy Wire ain't cutting it. It's time to groom for the future.

Keep Shaud Williams for a change of tempo/3rd down back. Trade Travis to the Colts for their 2nd rder and be done with this Johnson/Flutie type hazard. On a lighter note, give Robb Riddick a jingle and see if he can overcome his arthritis. If not, let's get a doctor-like Sean Doctor. He would run with reckless abandonment. Buffalo will be fine, just fine. The one thing that does concern me though is the way Pittsburgh handled us at home with non-starters. Here's the conclusion that makes me wanna puke. The better teams in this league (like Buffalo) still pale in comparison to New England's thorough demeanor. Drats! I forgot to lift the lid.

I agree with BigDaddy12. Pittsburgh's o-line was nothing special before this last year. In this respect, Buffalo is in alot better position to improve upon this area. We have our own guru in McNally and with an addition of a player or two (and some minor tweaking) this area on the team can be flat out dominating! I also concur that we will add a player or maybe two but it won't be with an early round draft pick. It will be either thru FA or a mid to late rd draft pick. Jennings (2 rd) and Williams (#4 overall) may have curbed that appetite. Here we may all together lose Jennings? And Williams, our fine little fat friend, tortured everybody with his mysterious pre-season attitude and conditioning. Remember, some "experts" were even calling him a bust. No, the LG position seems to be the possible need. So look for an experienced FA signing here. The prediction for our earlier rd draft picks will be used for defense. Safeties should be a priority for us. The linebackers (ML especially) will be building an even brighter future. On offense, a TE would be understandable, but I can't see this happening before the 4th rd. Would anybody object to a mid to late rd pick on a QB? I'd like to see this position secured for a very long time. Anyways, I don't think any of this even matters simply for the reason that the one thing that you can definitely count on is Donahoe will once again shock us all! You know, I think I'm really starting to look forward to his unpredictableness. Sick isn't it?

Well, I'm not joking. I'm not going to be a hater and say nasty things about Bledsoe. That's not what this is about. I'm sure he's a heck of a nice guy and he doesn't seem like a sissy. as a matter of fact , he tries his best. Can't fault him for effort. But you know we all just speculate on these messageboards, but does anyone really knows what goes on in the franchise? Whose the real experts on evaluating talent? Donahoe and company, that's who. And guess what, he spent a 1ST rdn pick on this guy and vehemently defended him at the end of the '03 season. Doesn't look like Donahoe has alot of confidence in Bledsoe right now does it? Well, rightly so. When you have the #2 defense combined with an electrifying special team, I think people SHOULD expect a post season appearance from their team. So what happen? Willis was an animal. He didn't do it on his own. That offensive line helped more than they been credited with. Oh and that rookie Evans, what a great addition he is! Well, Moulds may have been a little quiet but he was still a threat while he was on the field. No, I'm sorry when you get paid that much money(what- 5+ million?) and are given a reasonable amount of responsibility, then it's only fair to expect that you come thru AND even make a difference. Bledsoe didn't. I don't know who would or could be a better choice but I don't feel confident or even have hope anymore that Bledsoe is the answer. Furthermore I don't think I'm the only one.

Although I think Brad Johnson would be more than a serviceable insurance policy, I don't think Buffalo would take a risk with him. His knees are shot and speak of being injury prone! At least with Bledsoe he's healthy and pretty tough if I say so myself. Durability has to be a part of the equation. Johnson is long in tooth also. I don't see this as a valid solution. I would add him to the roster though if Matthews retire. Bledsoe, Losman and Johnson- that would some great QB depth while the younster gets his experience. I'm not a fan of his but Quincy Carter would be a better alternative. Rather young with experience and probably come at a reasonable cost.

In response to buftex thought on a younger, experienced QB. Your qualifications desciption leads me to believe that Griese would be a good fit. That may not be too shabby. It looks like Tampa may have to release him due to cap issues. How would the Buffalo faithful feel about this x Bronco/Dolphin and possibly x Buc? Opinions welcomed but keep it civil.

I can't see Bledsoe taking a backseat for a few different reasons. a) He shot his mouth off at the end of last season b) He won't take a pay cut and/or be a potential back-up c) There may be other starting positions open on other teams With Couch, none of this will be a problem. The question would be if he has the ability. With a running 1st offense with some passing he might be effective. Someone else posted about Gannon. that could be interesting. Either way, I don't see Bledsoe back. Any other suggestions for a possible replacement?
