How should the team respond to Gronk?
Mark Vader replied to Magox's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If a Bills player were to do something as stupid as that, then yes, a massive suspension would be justified. Are you saying that a 1 game suspension for Gronkowski was the harshest punishment he could have gotten? -

That one game suspension was a joke and an insult. If the NFL really cared about player safety and wanted to send a message that cheap shots like that will not be tolerated, then he should have been suspended for no less than 8 games. -
That would be amazing. Yet I cannot see the Raiders letting Mack walk.

Playoffs? Playoffs?? The Playoff Chances Thread
Mark Vader replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes it is bizarre. My guess is that people know that even with a loss this weekend, the Bills can still get into the playoffs. Of course the Bills could get into the playoffs with a win this week and a loss next week. No matter what, I am cheering for the Bills to win on Sunday. -
Playoffs? Playoffs?? The Playoff Chances Thread

If the Bills win out, that is a great thing. However, if the Ravens & Titans also win out, then the Bills miss the playoffs at 10-6. The Ravens or Titans would have to finish at 9-7 in order for the Bills to make the playoffs in this scenario. -
Gronk already cost us the playoffs

I would personally erect a statue of Milano outside of The Big Cap. -

I guess I am just missing it all. I enjoyed what I saw. Yes, there were a few things I could have done without, but I was entertained and I thought this was a strong entry into the series. Yes, I've read some comments and boy there is some real anger with this movie. Of course there was a lot of anger over The Force Awakens as well. -

Good review. As I stated before, I really enjoyed this movie. I love what Rian Johnson brought to this story. Yes there were things that I didn't care for. The casino planet was not that interesting, and Finn's new friend was boring. Having said that, without that whole sequence we would not have gotten to Benicio del Toro's character, who I thought was a great addition. I'm a bit surprised at how much dislike this movie is getting from some people here, but you can't please everyone. I don't have any preconceived notions with this saga, and I will just take it for what it is. I agree with Jerry Christ, don't set yourself up for something you are not going to get. -
2018 Bills draft QB Mason Rudolph - CBS Sports

Which is why I think it is smart of him to go to the Senior Bowl. Everyone will be there to assess him. -
Anyone else think we should use oleary more?

Except that he runs past the first down marker. -
I would love to see the first half yesterday version, last an entire game. If that happens we will win the next 2.

That would have been great. That's how a lot of people felt about Darth Maul. They have these impressionable and memorable villains, but do little with them character wise. -
Yes, I am very interested in seeing how he does. Would love it if he went from this game to the Senior Bowl.
-
I'm fine with that. I just wonder how long it will take until the playoffs really start to take over.

There are far too many bowl games. And I love watching them, but I miss the prestige that they used to have.

I see your point, and I guess it's all about perspective. I grew up watching "Star Wars" and I still watch them today. Yes, they may not be the greatest movies ever made, but they do have their charm, and they are very enjoyable. I will disagree on them being terrible movies. Yes, some of the writing is bad, especially in "Phantom Menace" & "Attack of the Clones". Do you feel that the current Star Wars films are better made, now that Lucas is out of the picture? As much as I enjoyed "The Force Awakens", I will also admit that "Rogue One" was a damn good movie. As for "2001: A Space Odyssey", I agree it's a remarkable film, and yes it was made in 1968. The one drawback to "2001" is that it is one of the slowest paced movies ever made. That doesn't bother me, because it is an artsy movie, but it's not for everyone. My all-time favorite Disney movie is "Fantasia", that film is a complete work of art, and that was made in 1940. Again people might not see what the big deal is about "Fantasia". I'm curious to know, would you hold the same type of feeling to a movie like "JAWS"? Which when you get down to it is basically a glorified monster movie and it just hit it big. -

You have a most unusual approach to these movies. I agree with you that most Star Wars fans will call the original trilogy the best. Although I think "Return of the Jedi" is just alright. I don't see where you are coming from on the thought that these movies are horrible, no matter what you are comparing them too. I've seen horrible movies, and that is not what I get from watching any of the Star Wars films. Granted the writing in these movies are nothing special. What George Lucas lacks in that area, he makes up for in story telling. I also agree with you that it's the visuals that are what sticks with most fans. The special effects at the time were dazzling, and are still very impressive even to this day. Considering that they were using models back then. There are also a lot of memorable shots from these films that stay with you after you've seen them. Your final point is what really personifies these movies.....they are FUN. That is the one thing that makes them enjoyable.
