Would Bills Fans Cheer an Injured Opponent?
Mark Vader replied to judman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If it were Tom Brady, I wouldn't be cheering, but I would be laughing. If it were Rob Gronkowski Or Julian Edelman, I would most definitely be cheering. If say during a punting situation, and one of the Bills Gunners was forced out of bounds and he happens to plow through Bill Belichick..... -

Absolutely. Remember how he looked in the preseason? Then came that first game against the Jets. -
Eagles sign Carson Wentz to 4 year, 128 mill extension

And Garoppolo. Which makes me wonder if McVay is looking forward to a new QB in next year's draft or does he let Goff play out his rookie contract. -
Tre'Davious White named third-best corner in NFL

I really like how our depth looks at CB. Who will start opposite White? Levi Wallace or Kevin Johnson? Where do you put E.J. Gaines? Then there's Taron Johnson, who is definitely a nickel back, but now he will be fully healthy. Let's not forget about Ryan Lewis either. Safety could be more of a concern. If either Hyde or Poyer get injured(God forbid), who fills in. This is why I think that the addition of Maurice Alexander is one of our better signings this off-season, that no one is talking about. I know they list him as a LB/S, but I see him as playing mostly in the secondary. Does Rafael Bush stay? Does Siran Neal or Dean Marlowe step up? How much playing time will Jaquan Johnson get? Training camp and preseason will be a lot of fun to watch the competition in this secondary. -

So does this have potential to turn the tide on these outrageous contracts that QB's get? What if the Rams continue to win with Goff, and they choose to keep him after his rookie contract is up? Would they actually give him a much lower contract than what other QB's are getting? -

Wow! That is most interesting. Is McVay looking ahead to next year's QB class? -

That's a lot more playing time than Jimmy Garoppolo, and look at the contract he got. Still, it is a curious move by the Eagles. I understand you want to lock up your franchise, but they could have waited one more year. -

May Movies: Aladdin, Godzilla, John Wick & Rocketman
Mark Vader replied to Mark Vader's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Absolutely. The people who made this movie were obviously fans. Rodan causing destruction by simply flying over the city. The anti-oxygen bomb that was used in the first Godzilla movie. Referring to Ghidorah as Monster Zero. Hearing Godzilla's footsteps during the opening titles. The Godzilla theme music, which was missing from the 2014 movie. The thermonuclear look of Godzilla, which was from Godzilla Vs. Destroyah. Great stuff. -

Then Ghidorah re-generated. That was cool. Also liked how each head of Ghidorah had it's own personality, and that for the first half of the movie he was referred to as "Monster Zero". -

I grew up watching Transformers and just can't stand the movie series. The first movie was pretty good, Revenge of the Fallen is awful, Dark of the Moon has it's moments(Leonard Nimoy) but is below average, Age of Extinction has an intriguing side story but it falls flat, and I did not even bother with The Last Knight. After Age of Extinction I did not want to bother seeing anymore Transformers movies. I ignored Bumblebee, but then I read and heard that it was actually a decent flick. I was tempted to see it because of Hailee Steinfeld. She's a very good young talent and I want to see her get more recognition as a lead actor. I'll have to check that out eventually. -

The humans in this movie are better than the humans in any of the Transformers movies. They were also Godzilla fans, lots of references from past Godzilla movies was great to see. -

I did not expect to be the first one commenting on "Gozilla: King of the Monsters". Just got back from seeing it, and enjoyed what I saw. You go to a monster movie to see one thing.....MONSTERS! In this case giant monsters fighting each other and it does not disappoint. Ghidorah looks just plain evil. Mothra looks better than ever, and Rodan was great too. The human story and characters are tolerable. Kyle Chandler & Charles Dance do the best in that angle. I now know why the movie has gotten such low marks. Making climate changers and green minded people look like maniacal lunatics is going to piss off a lot of people who subscribe to that. Oh well, we only care about how awesome the monsters look, and that's what really delivers. Bring on "Kong Vs. Godzilla" for next year. That should be awesome. Interesting bumper at the end. -
Nissan Stadium in Nashville

Having been there for the draft, I would say that tailgating would be great there. The parking lot is very big, and the set up looks as if it welcomes tailgating. -
People here don't hate Star, they hate Star's contract. Which is very pricey. I agree with you that Star does his job, and there are fans that complain about him too much. I wouldn't say that this board loves Murphy so much either, but rather they are encouraged by the idea that he could be 100% healthy this year.

Who is Your Favorite New Player to This Point ?
Mark Vader replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Mitch Morse. The loss of Eric Wood was devastating, and we saw what it was like without him. Morse is the anchor at Center that we need, and he is the key to the O-Line's success. Ed Oliver. How can you not love this guy's attitude? His reaction after being drafted by the Bills, and then going to visit Pancho. He will be fun to watch. Cody Ford. This guy could be a terror on the O-Line. He may not be a Day 1 starter, but he could get there quickly. John Brown. Really wanted this guy last year. Better late than never. David Sills V. Can't believe he wasn't drafted. I'm cheering for him. There is a lot of competition for WR depth, and he can make it. Maurice Alexander. Remember him? Could turn out to be a great under-the-radar signing. -

He certainly was one of my first NFL Films memories. Particularly "The Ice Bowl". RIP
