ROCKPILE REVIEW - The Hopeless Optimist
Mark Vader replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Great write-up @Shaw66. I am optimistic every season. Although I really don't know what to expect from the Bills this upcoming season. I'm excited to see how our new offensive line looks, and I'm sue it will take time for them to come together as a complete unit, but it should be fun to watch. Josh Allen needs to be protected and hopefully we found the guys who can do that. Not to mention open bigger holes for Shady, Gore etc. I'm confident in Josh Allen to improve this season, especially now that he has better options to throw too. I would like to see more plays from him using his arm more than his legs. Then there's the defense. Plenty to be excited about here. The competition at CB, the arrival of Ed Oliver, the growth of Tremaine Edminds. Now I am not going to make outrageous predictions for this season. I'm sure there will be some tough moments. I do like what Beane & McDermott have brought to the team this off season, and there is reason to be excited about the Bills. Can't wait for September. GO BILLS!!! -
Deion Sanders' advice for Tre' White

Sanders or Beebe? And Sanders had to horse collar Beebe to bring him down. -

Both of your points are true about Oliver & Williams. Nobody knows exactly how things will work out with Oliver. Personally, I think he has the talent to be a very good player in the NFL, and I have confidence in our coaching staff that they will use him in a manner where he will be most effective. -

They say that, because Aaron Donald has proven himself in the NFL. -
Simple enough

May Movies: Aladdin, Godzilla, John Wick & Rocketman
Mark Vader replied to Mark Vader's topic in Off the Wall Archives
The point is that the movies with political messaging and so forth, are the ones that are recognized and glamorized for being "cutting edge" and "thought provoking" and hailed as "the greatest ever made". Hollywood loves to reward movies that are in step with their ideology. How else does a movie like "Argo" win tons of awards or "Get Out" gets a best picture nomination. Yes, the big budget movies get all the box office receipts, but they are viewed as frivolous and not viewed as serious awards material. If they did, then movies like "The Dark Knight" would have gotten a best picture nomination. The Box Office receipts keep Holly wood rolling, but the year end awards do matter to them as well. -

How often do those movies get nominated for best picture? -
I think Duke Williams & David Sills V, have a realistic shot to make the 53 man roster. Robert Foster, Zay Jones, John Brown & Cole Beasley are the only WR's I see as locks to make the team. Probably Andre Roberts too since he is a KR. After that there are 2-3 spots at the WR position that are wide open.

I love what Matt Reeves did with the last two installments of the recent Planet of the Apes series, so I would be very interested in seeing his approach to Batman. This however, is just a sorry way to go. -
I'm not saying the Sharks didn't get robbed on those non-calls, they did. That was clearly delay of game, and a blatant slash on Haley. I just hate that everyone will be talking about that play at the end if the game, saying how the Sharks only won because of luck. It ruins a very thrilling game.

Which is why I hate that this non-call takes away from the Sharks persevering and forcing this game into overtime. That is the play that everyone will remember.
