  1. This is 100% correct. BTW, a questions for the red helmet folks: do you think it looks better than the white, or is it more of a nostalgia thing from the Super Bowl era? Cause I have to say, the first time I saw the red helmets (preseason game against the Chicago Bears 8/31/85)I nearly puked. They were and continue to be awful for me...
  2. those mock-ups on Creamer's site you linked are awesome UConn! I would be very, VERY happy with those, as I have always been the white/charging buffalo helmet guy. The only think I think it really needs is the word "BILLS" at the neck of the jersey. Every other NFL team has some identifying mark on thiers somewhere, I remember getting a Moulds #80 in the throwbacks the first season and everyone wanted to know where I got the Shockey jersey...
  3. As a general rule or just a few of the old timers? Does that have something to do with radiation exposure limits?
  4. One more CONFIRMED mission in March, there has to be congressional approval for STS-135, and they still have to figure out what they are going to fly. Otherwise, Endeavour is the last. As someone who follows this very, very closely, it couldn't have come sooner. Another disaster is inevitable if they keep flying shuttle...
  5. The switch to red helmets was for Joe Fergerson because at that time nearly half of the NFL had white helmets. Also, those crappy fan-made Nike pictures have been debunked months ago.
  6. http://www.nasaspaceflight.com/2011/01/1983-1986-missions-history-space-shuttle-challenger/ Great article on Challenger's missions and history...
  7. If the Bills don't pick a monster DL (or possibley Cam Newton) with thier first pick, I predict that they'll see the smoke in Toronto from the city being set on fire...
  8. HA! No kidding. Like when Sharon Stone's husband got his foot nearly bitten off by one at the zoo?
  9. I think the real problem is NASA's insistance on using the 5-seg SRBs and J-2X upper stage engines from ARES. They LIKE for projects to have both expanded scope and budget, and looks like the Congresscritters are really going to play hardball with them over what is in the law. IMO, NASA is doing what they always do, try and get more money to make a bigger rocket than what they were asked to build. Of course, no one really knows for sure exactly WHAT they will be launching with this thing either. There is nothing in that law that requires the to use the designs they seemingly have thier hearts set on (see above), so it's time to work with what they have and make this thing work in the time and budget alloted. If they can't handle a 70-100MT to orbit, then there is no way they can be trusted with a true planetary scale launcer of 130MT. Time to get busy NASA, tick tock, tick tock...
  10. Same thing with the Space Shuttle Main Engines, they run at 104.5% maxiumum thrust duing launch, cycled down for MAX Q, and again near MECO. The engines original spec was 100% thrust for "normal" operation, but it was discovered that they could operate at a higher capacity safely, and this became standard. To keep things from getting completely confusing, they just kept the original designation. The SSMEs can actually supply 106% and 109% in case of abort senarios where one engine is lost during assent. It should be noted that this has never been attempted as the prediction of a catastrophic failure goes up dramatically with increased power levels. Ok, back on topic...I hate the phrase "Everything pops". What the hell does this even mean?
  11. It should also be noted that the only person who ran Kerry Collins out of Charlotte was Kerry Collins. The guy started drinking toilet bowl cleaner and alientated his team-mates and the entire city...
  12. BLUEFIRE...Stop reading my post now: No thanks. We don't need his mediocre talent and major head issues....
  13. Ah, they've been kicking this around for years. Like LOTR, like Spiderman, Tron2.0, etc. Maybe one day. Always thought it would be awesome to do it animated, like Samurai Jack/first Clone Wars...
  14. God, no kidding. Other than the Stones, what a Craptacular list...
  15. ugh, wouldn't you know it? I finally bit the bullet and bought some songs last night for the first time off Amazon! Doc, get "Run Runaway" from Slade. One of the greats from the 80's...
  16. That was written by Mr. Timmy Grahm. And his idol Sully ripped the article (which he should have)...
  17. The wife and I thought about doing this once as well, after we settled in with our rescue dog. However, once she got pregnant with our son, these plans kind of fell apart. Good job, and good luck!
  18. My first Bills game at Rich Stadium! I could hear the hit up in the 330 level. We thought he was dead. I remember he laid there for like 10 minutes before they got him up on his feet...
  19. oh no, good luck buddy! Dogs are resilent and smart, if he can, he'll make it back to you...
  20. Ha! Forgot to add that he actually made it through an entire three minute trailer with not one explosion or spinning camera...
  21. Your point is well taken, but Brady was a 6th rounder, and I belive Romo was undrafted...
  22. Ok, I realize we are speaking of a movie about huge, transforming robots from space, but something I find confusing about that trailer: They're on the moon, it's 1969. Armstrong says, "we're definitely not alone". Didn't they build the Hoover Dam around Megatron in the 1930's? Didn't they already know about the transformers then, or did NASA and the other government agency not know about the NB1 project? Ah, I liked it anyway...
