The Chargers have been talking for 10+ years about a new stadium. Qualcomm is a pit - RWS on its' worst day was better. The Raiders stadium in an antiquated baseball field. The Chargers say they get 35-40 % of their money from Orange County - so fans are already driving 60-80 miles to go to a home game. If & when the Rams move to Inglewood - the Chargers would see the casual fan money diverted. Neither the Chargers or the Raiders are getting any support from the locals politicians and are floating this "trial balloon" I am no fan of public money for billionaires playpens and the myth that stadiums spur growth is largely overblown. If the Chargers/Raiders (strange bedfellows indeed), achieve the stadium in Carson it would be 70 miles from my house so about 120 miles from the South Bay (Mexican border) for the southern locals. The game day commute would be interesting, even on a Sunday. Could the Chargers/Raiders make a go of it with the Meadowlands ? Or is this just grandstanding by all parties ?

There was some snow on Mt, San Jacinto when I drove through the I-10 pass on Super Bowl Weekend. It looked nice. What was nicer were the bikinis at the pool - It was 80+ degrees in the Valley for the Big Game

One of the absolute best things about a City like Buffalo - with so many many ethic "Mom & Pop" shops is the diversity As I have done more extensive traveling in the US - I find it impossible to stomach what other areas call "Buffalo" food Out here - they Call http://www.buffalowildwings.com/ fine cusine (good stock to buy) I have never liked Duff's - but others do - Anchor Bar is worth it - if you are in the neighborhood - I can name two other places I will go out of the way for - they are just corner joints in the "hood" I would cross the counrty for a Bocce Pizza - my wife and daughter say no - they wanted Leonardi's I will be in Buff next week - I will go to Mighty, Louie's, have some great (fresh) pizza on Hertel Ave and some awesome wings at Gecko's Buffalo is about something different on every corner - viva la difference Try and find that in that in the land of corporate exit ramp foodstuffs
