Seeing as Erie County and NYS taxpayers have been paying for these seats over the last 48 years - how can you charge them for refuse? More NFL greed.

My daughter has been fostering rescue dogs for the last 3 years (from kill shelters down south). Her current count is 22 and the experience is wonderful. She has 2 dogs that failed "rescue" and became residents. They help transition new visitors. Anyway, there was one, Brittany (***** hound)- that never was right. After multiple vet visits - the end was distemper - no cure. My daughter still mourns.

This may sound hokey - but you will get visits. When our last dog passed a good friend (dog guru) said you will get a visit. I thought POOF! One morning laying in bed, the house is quiet - wife is out - I hear the dog shaking chain rattle - nothing in the house. Definitely odd. Easy to question until - a week later - same thing and this time the wife heard it too. Misha came home to say hello . Signs that a deceased dog may still be with you include feeling a presence, hearing familiar sounds like paws or barking, smelling them, seeing their favorite toys in odd places, or having vivid dreams about them. Other people may notice their other pets acting strangely, staring at an empty corner, or feeling a strong sense of their presence, often interpreted as their spirit still visiting.

We had a 14 year old Beagle. It started suffering (collapsing at random times and losing bowel control). Our vet said they could do "this and that" but with no promises. My wife would not let her go. I played the hard guy - "You can't keep her alive (and suffering) because you won't let go. This went on several weeks before she allowed the home euthniaze tema to come. There were a lot of tears. My take - it is not fair to the animal. The beagle we had prior also lived a while. She had surgery. The operation was a sucess - but the friend went over the Rainbow Bridge anyway.

Bald eagles are now found in all 49 states. Not sure about Hawaii? We watch the Eagle Cam at Big Bear Lake in California. There is a successful breeding pair caught on high def cameras. I live on Grand Island, NY now between Lake Erie & Ontario - lots of water and lots of woodlands. We have nesting pairs of bald eagles and more hawks/ospreys than you can shake a stick at. My personal backward count is 47 different now. Also around are trumpeter swans, herons, cormorants and there was even a pelican on Lake Erie last year. Wild turkeys abound. Bird watching is FUN! I bought the book and read it last night. Interesting memoir. You are about 5 years older than me and I did not start following Bills football until I was a freshman at UB (1972). I saw the final game at War Memorial and the first game at the Ralph. In the 80's, I managed three Pizza Huts's - Camp Road, Orchard Park and East Aurora. Even in the drought years - the fan experience was chaotic. They were good (if not uplifting) times. Than my wife set up her first computer and someone showed me Prodigy. From 1995 (?) on - I breathed Bills, Never saw the BBMB but the D&C (Rochester) had something like it until it collapsed in anarchy. TBD already existed and then SDS created TSW. Lot One - Pole 5 was our Bills Universe If I had to pick out one memory - 23 January 1994 - the Bills foretold Joe Montana's retirement by knocking him out the game. Jeff Wright, Phil Hansen and Bruce Smith sandwiched Montana out of the game. Bills win 30-13 Then the NFL became the greedy monster it is today. The No Fun League sucked the joy out of Sundays P.S. The Civic/Fan atmosphere was unreal. I was fortunate to live through it all. There was no NFL all intruive interference. Erie County shut down on Sunday. The end of XXV was tough but there were many failures. The second was tough too. I was fortunate to be at the Oiler game (yes, I have the ticket stub). As a sports city Buffalo was incredible (and the Sabres were not have bad either) If you have a tape of the game - the commercials were very low key - the era of "WO#W" had not happened yet

It is hard for me to mourn Cheers with the passing of Norm. Only two sitcoms moved me back then. The other was Sports Night. Both shows had excellent characters and superior writing. My father who had little tolerance of mass market TV back at those time, always watched Cheers. He was from the 1940’s – 50’s generation and his 4 brothers frequented bars.
