To be honest I haven’t assessed his play so I couldn’t tell you if he’s worth that much. Projections had him at about $15M/yr, but he is an older player. If he’s still a force off the edge then age doesn’t matter so much.

All those who keep referencing the 5 sacks Jones had the majority of the season, was it due to ineffectiveness? Was he getting double teamed after that 5 sack output? Was he getting close but not finishing the job? There’s always context for the 5 sacks. I think Hughes had like 2 all year despite being tabbed our best pass rushing DE.

Jets, Colts, and 49ers were in contention? Three teams without a solid starting QB? It was absolutely about the money. Now go and get Akiem Hicks and make this team impossible to run on. We may not get pressure with the front 4, but at least Milano, Taron, and Poyer are decent blitzers.

I knew with certain albatross contracts on the payroll they’d have a difficult time landing Jones. Disappointing but not unexpected.

Im not going to call him “dumb” for changing his mind like some others here, but it’s clear he doesn’t prioritize winning over all else. And that’s his decision. Some guys are content with cashing a million dollar paycheck, going to work, then calling it a day.

This used to be the case but the rule was changed quite some time ago. Linky I don’t think this is true. There are gems in every round, I made an “all hindsight draft” earlier to show a draft where all 7 picks would’ve been big time contributors (given how they played with the team that drafted them). It’s always more important who is selected rather than where. Of course it becomes increasingly more difficult with each passing round to find that gem.

That’s why I’d like the Bills to pursue a trade rather than an extension. Something tells me the Edmunds camp has a dollar amount much higher than what the Bills value him and that’s why we haven’t seen an extension yet.

Miller still has that bend and speed off the edge, but did you see that tweet from a guy comparing their last two years? Chandler was comfortably ahead of Miller in every category which surprised me.

What does OJ have to do with your accusations of Watson? You said confidently he assaulted women and all I asked was to share the knowledge you have since it sounds like you’re very much in the know. What I can tell you is that I’m not 100% sure either way if Watson is innocent or guilty, so I’m not going to speak like I know what I’m talking about.

If there’s one thing the Bills have shown it’s to be overly cautious regarding guys coming off injuries, so I expect to see him in October at the earliest.

I was surprised Ford’s RAS was so poor given the initial idea was to have him at RT. Whether Kromer can resuscitate his career or not, it’s mostly up to Ford. I hope dude comes into camp in the best shape of his life at a svelte 320lbs.

If the Bills do land Hicks, with 4 quality DTs on the roster (assuming Star is gone), I’d like to see some creative defensive wrinkles. I felt that was lacking at times last season. I’m not sure how often the Bills lined up in a 4-2-5 defensive alignment, but wouldn’t be surprised if it was over 70%. Give me some 5-2-4 or 3-3-5 looks. Mix up the personnel up front and give me bigger bodies if the DL is going to be that deep again (this is mostly a reference to early, or run downs).

Some of those comp picks should be from minority coaching hires, well at least the third rounder for BAL is thanks to David Culley and the 49ers thanks to Robert Saleh. Too bad Frazier didn’t get his HC job so we could’ve received a couple thirds.

I suppose she’s combing through every post looking for my next comments on Edmunds so she can spew her nonsense and start her baby-speak again 😂 In all seriousness on my end, there’s no doubt Edmunds, Milano, and anyone else in the secondary would look better with improved DL play. Anyone who argues they wouldn’t would probably be trolling. And you’re right, with the two new DTs up front, it’s already looking like a better proposition for our LB corps. Give me the beef in the middle and speed on the edges and secondary. I’m all for that.

Turns out the reports of Levi being worth $9M/yr were greatly over exaggerated. I like Levi, he’s an easy guy to root for. I’ll never forget when he got a burner phone and allowed fans to call and speak with him. I never dialed in, but it just went to show the kind of guy he is. I wish him all the best in PIT, except when he plays the Bills. Congrats, Levi!
