  1. I’m not sure how they measure win rate, but I can bet a “win” is not when a player runs 5 yards past the QB, thereby taking himself out of the play 😂 But yes, the DL needs more talent.
  2. I don’t disagree, the post was in response to someone who said we never get pressure rushing four. The one thing the DL needs is a finisher. Doesn’t matter if you get the QB off his spot if he can still turn it into a positive play. I think he lacks the strength, physicality, and aggression needed to rush the passer. If he comes unimpeded to the QB he can get there quickly, but the same can be said for the majority of defenders in the NFL. If he has to beat a block, forget it. When your monster-sized MLB can be handled relatively easy by RBs and TEs, he’s not a threat to get to the QB.
  3. Here’s your 2021 All-Hindsight Draft: Round 1, #30: DE Odafe Oweh (4.37 40 yd dash helps to chase down the likes of Mahomes) Round 2, #61: C Creed Humphrey Round 3, #93: OT Spencer Brown Round 5, #161: RB Elijah Mitchell Round 6, #203: WR Marquez Stevenson Round 6, #212: S Damar Hamlin Round 6, #213: OG Trey Smith Round 7, #236: CB Jerry Jacobs
  4. He was Spencer Brown’s college teammate, right? Don’t know if that’s the case since Spencer sat out a year, but if so, he has all the inside intel the Bills could want.
  5. I remember wanting Rosen because I thought he had the highest skillset of the four and wasn’t all potential like Allen, who I thought was a QB who had struggled against every Power 5 program. My comment was “it’s like having JP Losman and Aaron Rodgers in the same draft and we go for Losman.” 😂
  6. That was an odd little kick by Hunt. I remember thinking that when I saw it years ago. Couldn’t understand why he did it because the intention behind it certainly wasn’t to injure or hurt the woman. As for slapping her around, maybe I missed that part too. I did see him bulldoze some guy into her, which was the worst part of the video. Whether he did it intentionally or not, I have no idea. But when I hear “brutally beat” a woman, I think of Ray Rice, or that newest case, Zac Stacy. Those videos are disturbing, this one wasn’t close to that level. Hunt’s actions still weren’t cool, but it wasn’t quite what it was portrayed to be.
  7. This feels like a 30 for 30, “what if I told you…?” So here’s mine - what if I told you that according to ESPN, the Bills DL finished 6th in pass rush win rate?
  8. This sounds pretty angry 😂 Did Edmunds take your Christmas toys or something? I said he wasn’t a “huge bust,” correct. And I still feel that way even after having read the vitriol in your post. I don’t know where, how, or why you came to the conclusion after reading my post that I’m an Edmunds apologist. Who thinks he’s an impact LB?? I know a few on this board believe that but certainly not me! I’ve said time and time again I’d like to move on from Edmunds, not because he flat out sucks, but because I’m sure the dollar value of his contract having made 2 pro bowls will be overvalued and I want no part of that. Beane’s actions going forward will tell me about him as a GM more so than any other move. Im curious to see what he does with Edmunds and if I was in his place, I’d be feverishly working the phones seeking a trade from some other team who overvalues him. As far as your assertion that Edmunds is “not all that athletic compared to other LBs,” the numbers prove that’s a lie. He had a 9.7 relative athletic score which isn’t too far away from Micah Parson’s 9.78. Now, one of those players maximizes his athletic potential because he’s also equipped with the instincts that enables him to play fast. The other does not, consistently, and is why I called him a slightly above average to average MLB. Just because he hasn’t lived up to the lofty expectations of a 16th overall pick in the NFL Draft does not make him a bust.
  9. LVE went a pick or two after Edmunds.
  10. How do you do the thing where you share posts? That’s what I wanted to do with that other Edmunds opinion poll.
  11. There was a poll already on this topic that read “Should the Bills extend Edmunds?”
  12. He had one against the Patriots in the second matchup where he had a full head of steam and a flat footed Damien Harris stood him up and absolutely stoned him. Never had seen anything like it myself. Thankfully Ed Oliver got the sack on the play, but Edmunds should’ve absolutely destroyed that RB, or at the very least, pushed him back into Jones. EDIT: The play in question is actually the first play of the highlights. It was actually #25, Brandon Bolden not Harris. Edmunds stands 6’5” 250lbs, while Bolden is 5’11” 220lbs.
  13. Tremaine hasn’t been a “huge bust,” but he hasn’t been a difference maker either. His instincts are below average for a MLB, but his size and athleticism are elite. Put the two together and you get a slightly above average linebacker, though I couldn’t argue if someone else were to just call him “average.” Despite being the defensive captain and getting everyone set on defense, his mental acuity and processing do him no favors. I don’t think he’ll ever be a defensive playmaker, a guy the opposing team absolutely fears and has to account for.
  14. I think we’ll see a considerable difference in our pass defense whenever the level of QBs we face goes up - with or without Tremaine.
  15. There was a lot of “whataboutism.” The folks who weren’t satisfied by Edmunds play and critiqued his game, were met by Edmunds apologists who claimed Milano was either worse, or had just as many problems. I think you can find it in the “should Edmunds be re-signed?” thread.
  16. Same thing I was wondering, but I think it implies offense. Never heard of a passing game coordinator on the defensive side unless he’s the defensive backs coach.
  17. No LB in the league is covering Kelce 1 on 1, but I would like to know what his responsibilities were on that last pass to Kelce before OT. He and Wallace weren’t on the same page.
  18. You actually enjoy Collinsworth? Every time I listen to the guy, it seems he begrudgingly says good things about the Bills. Buffalo News even went so far as to write an article about it. He definitely feels like a biased commentator to my ears.
  19. Oh you’re right, that’s SNF, not MNF. Damn. Well maybe they still replace him since Michaels is moving.
  20. Aikman and Buck rank near the bottom of my play by play crews. Most times I don’t know if they’re calling a football game, or providing commentary for someone painting a fence. Give me a color man who gets excited for plays, someone in the mold of Gus Johnson or Kevin Harlan. On a positive note, at least this gets the biased Collingsworth out of there. EDIT: Cris calls SNF not MNF, my fault.
  21. The poor YAC not only reflects the ability of our offensive personnel, but also Allen’s ball placement, which could still use improvement. I don’t know if you heard Beane say “we need a player who can turn a 5 yard pass into a 60 yard TD” because he knows that player isn’t on our roster at the moment. Who are the QBs you’re comparing Allen to in terms of anticipatory throws? I’ll give you Brady and Rodgers, but comparing their game - 2 of the best at it - to Allen doesn’t take away from the fact he does regularly throw with anticipation. Bad take.
  22. I would’ve said this was true in Allen’s first two years. He often waited to see the receiver come open before letting the ball go. These last two years he has absolutely been an anticipatory thrower. He throws well before receivers are out of their break and some of his INTs have come because he and the receiver weren’t on the same page (meaning Allen didn’t wait for the receiver to come open, he threw it to where he thought he would be). Not coincidentally, his production jumped when the anticipatory throws became more routine. I’m sure much of that had to do with his trust in Diggs.
  23. CB, IOL, and DL (anything but 3DT) are the three positions I feel the team needs to add most. WR and LB would be sweet, but not nearly as pressing.
  24. For those who want the center in round one, how does he compare to Creed Humphrey, the guy who went at the end of round 2 last year and tested in the 99th percentile as far as RAS?
  25. I think his size has always been overrated. He’s only 6’2” 315 and looked the lightest he’s been to start the year. The start of this season was also the best he’s ever looked in Buffalo, the fire and hunger seemed to be there. By comparison Ted Washington was 6’5” 365, a literal “big” difference.
