Bills ability to draft and develop D linemen
Brand J replied to Comebackkid's topic in The Stadium Wall
What I’d like to know is what DL players, under a McD scheme, have flourished? I know Phillips had 9 sacks before AZ signed him, but who has the highest? When McD was DC in Carolina did they have any double digit sack players on the DL? -
Even Nick Wright gave props to Josh Allen.

I’ve enjoyed all the complaining from Chiefs fans these past few days. They all wished they lost to Buffalo because “there wouldn’t have been any shame in losing to the Bills.” This loss embarrassed them. They’ll also forever connect “13 seconds” to the meltdown that happened the following week. Love it, only because the fans and team were so arrogant. -
Would love for Dorsey to get with Gailey in the off-season to study the art of the screen game. Then I’d like him to get with Roman to pick his brain about run blocking schemes - assuming coaches are open to helping out one another.

I’d argue minorities often work much harder for opportunities, regardless of the Rooney Rule or affirmative action. Allowing qualified candidates an interview slot - when they may have otherwise had no opportunity for one - helps further inclusion rather than harm it.
-
I’ll comment on this and then I’m out so I don’t cuss some of y’all out 😂 Do you believe non-minorities aren’t given a chance to play because of their color? If two players who aren’t the same skin tone are running backs and similar in skill/athleticism, do you think the white player would be discriminated against simply because he’s white? Athletic performance isn’t about racial equity - the best athlete wins - and as we’ve seen in football, basketball, track and field, etc, the athletes with the faster twitch fibers are usually darker. Genetics, that’s all it is. Are there owners in the NFL actively discriminating against minorities or refusing to hire people of color? Who knows, but coaching and coordinating isnt about genetics, unless you believe people of color aren’t as intelligent as their counterparts. That’s why.

Some of you pushing back on this rule are totally out of touch with reality. I suppose that’s not unexpected given you’ve never had to live as a minority, but rather than arguing what should or shouldn’t be, put that energy towards understanding why something like this exists. If after that you’re still unsure, PM me and I’ll give you stories on what it’s like to live in America with a darker skin tone. Racial bias still exists, whether any of you want to admit it or not.

Shoulder to shoulder, textbook hit. There shouldn’t be any “he hit me too hard” flags like there have been. Marv’s “over-officious jerks” wouldn’t fly in this postseason 😂
-
Part of the problem when they make game altering calls (ie taking away a TD, big yardage play, or a turnover), is that the other team can commit a penalty on a huge play and it goes unnoticed. By leaving the flags in their pocket, there’s no bias, the game isn’t tilted in one team’s favor. Will this carry over to the league next year? Or are the playoffs special circumstances?
-
I think it’s pretty clear to everyone watching, the NFL has advised the refs to hold onto their flags this postseason. They’re not making game altering calls and they’re allowing the players to decide the games. An interesting side effect to this, is that this postseason, starting in the divisional round, has had some of the most enjoyable games I’ve ever seen. Is there a correlation between the refs holding their flags and the entertainment value of these games skyrocketing? Or is it simply a coincidence?

You may be right. 9ers are starting to turtle-up.
-
And we know how one score games have gone this year. Ugh. Swamy would’ve finally got his wish for a Bills vs 49ers Super Bowl.
-
Think the Bills would’ve been favored by about 6.5 over the 49ers.
-
Just like the Bills seemingly stopped playing and lost all sense of urgency when they went up 3 with 13 seconds left, the Chiefs sleepwalked in the second half after going up 21-3 and lost their urgency. Gotta keep playing until the game ends, I have no doubt the Bills defense would’ve looked different last week if they were up by less than 3 with 13 seconds left.

Comparing Allen to Burrow, I think Burrow’s accuracy and processor are a little better, but Allen is more physically imposing. His skillset makes him harder to defend if everything in the secondary is covered up (or the OL doesn’t block).

Buck and Aikman are the two most uninteresting commentators calling games. I’m glad we get to avoid their FOX broadcasts most of the time.
-
So frustrating to see him running around in circles and largely getting away with it. We needed a LB to play it like Hubbard and start rushing when he scrambles.
-
I think only 2 KC drives didn’t end with points against the Bills.
-
Would love for KC to lose in heartbreaking fashion

The Allen from the two playoff games this year? Absolutely. The Allen from the 17 game regular season? Not yet, but he’s getting there.
-
I guess you’re stalking me then as well 🤷🏾♂️ how about finding more important things to do…?
-
If you call jumping on his Twitter to see how much he was gloating over this performance as “stalking” then you need hit Webster’s dictionary.
-
Nick Wright bet $500 on a Chiefs parlay and three of them have already hit. If Chiefs win by 21+ he gets back $8000.
-
This just in: Mahomes is good. I think the Chiefs would’ve smacked the Titans too.

Since the possibility of tying a game down 3, with 13 seconds left and on your own 25 is probably around 2%, you could say they’re a team of destiny.
