You couldn't more wrong if you tried. In 2009, 9 WRs had 10 or more TDs. In 2008, 7 WRs hit that mark. In 2007, 11 WRs did. In 2006, only 5 did. In 2005, 8 guys did, In 2004, it was 11 guys. In 2003, i count 9. And in 2002, it was 4. So over the past 8 years, there's been an average of 8 players catching 10 or more TD passes. So teams with WRs catching 10 TD passes is far from "the norm".

If you didn't see the beginning of the TD "pass" you would have mistaken it for a punt with the way it was lobbed up there and wobbled around like a wounded duck before crashing luckily into the WR's arms. tebow will make a good H-back in this league, but not a QB. His long, leftwich-esque windup was back again, and for some strange reason he leans all the way forward and bounces off his front foot when he throws. he's simply not a passer.

I've never been a defender of Jauron. And i've never claimed that drafting Whitner over Ngata was a smart move. It wasn't. What i do defend against, however, is people that irrationally bash whitner (like yourself), because they were and still are mad over the draft selection. It was 5 years ago. Get over it. I actually try to look at and judge Whitner's play on the field based on his play on the field (which tells me this season has been his best), and not claim he sucks simply because he hasn't lived up to his draft selection. Whitner is not a top 3 safety, but he's easily a top 12 safety. Letting him walk would simply create another hole in a defense that doesn't need any more holes. My question to you is this...since the Bills have neglected the front 7 in the past, why not keep the good players we have, and working on building the front 7 from this point forward? The 2011 Bills will be better off with Whitner + front 7 improvement than they will be with having to trying to replace Whitner along with adding front 7 help. We only have so many draft picks, so why not spend them where they are needed. And, if you need support when we don't select an OT in round 1, feel free to send me a PM as well.

Wilson doesn't start over Whitner because he's simply not as good. Whitner is by far the better player. Wilson is a good backup FS that can play center field and pick some passes. But thats about his limit. So switching defenses is an acceptable excuse as to why Byrd is playing horrible, but switching defenses is not an acceptable excuse as to why Whitner is having the best season of his career?

Jairus Byrd has been far and away the worst defensive back on the team this season. As good as his rookie year was (and he's wasn't good, it was a mirage of him being the benefactor of lucky bounces), thats how bad he's been this season.

Until there's a new CBA in place, these negotiations are much ado about nothing.
