  1. What we need is to draft some really tall WRs. They are a can't miss!
  2. We'll have to see not only who we take, but who gets taken before us. Given what i've seen from Stevie/Nelson/Jones/Parrish (pre-injury), i see no reason to take an AJ Green than high. Based off early draft rankings, there's a bunch of DLs up around our slot and possibly a QB. Its tough to get a good read on how the NFL views the QBs this year. Aside from Luck, you could have 3 other QBs go in round 1, but you could also have none go until the late 20s or so. With the way Fitz has played, i don't see a particular reason to reach for a guy like Mallet or Locker, when you can get a Ponder or Devlin in rounds 2-3.
  3. We'll be picking around top 5-6. There's simply no OT prospect worth it that high. We can get a good OT in round 2, and then later on in the late rounds for depth. This OL is better than a lot of people think and 1 RT will go a long way towards making us a good OL. Bell-Levitre-Wood-Urbik/Hangy-Draft pick as starters with Urbik/Hangy, Wrotto, Wang, and Howard as backups has the makings of a good OL.
  4. So unless they are giving away free tickets to people in detroit, there's going to be about 7 people in attendance tonight.
  5. There were quite a few running plays where our OL actually moved the pile 3-4 yards downfield. First time i've seen that since about 1998. If we add a solid RT either through FA or the draft, and acquire some depth, the OL will be looking nice for next season.
  6. I like that system. And it wouldn't extend the season. You'd have 8 "wildcard" games with division winner playing division #2, and then 4 divisional playoff games with the 4 winners. (I'd re-seed the teams based on record after the WC week). Then the 2 conference championship games and the Super Bowl.
  7. NFL needs to institute a rule like college ball where you need to win so many games to become "playoff-eligible." You're probably looking at a 10 win team missing the playoffs in the NFC, while a 7-9 team makes it in. There's going to be a dogfight for the #5 seed in the NFC. You basically get a bye getting to go to and "play" the rams or seahawks, while the poor #6 seed will have to go to Chicago/philly/NYG for their wildcard.
  8. McKelvin actually had good coverage on the play, but broke it off when he saw the ball up in the air. Its amazing how many people will play up a bad performance by a player, yet refuse to acknowledge a good performance in an effort to be "right".
  9. Typical pieces of ****. That type of thing is disgusting. I'd say i hope he gets suspended, but they guy obviously sucks if he's not playing, so a suspension wont matter much.
  10. For drugs like pot and such, its the second offense (the substance abuse program). For 'roids and PEDs, its 4 games the first time caught.
  11. Looks like the patsy roid/HGH wagon is up and running again.
  12. Just because a team isn't good doesn't mean that there aren't good players on the team. Fitz has thrown 20 TD passes in 10 starts. Mediocre QBs don't throw 2 TD passes per game.
  13. Well, as long as Detroit picks before we do, you won't have to worry about Patrick Petersen being on the board when we're up.
  14. Cool stuff. (And i have to add in that sickening line about tebag, or else all the UF mouth breathers get their panties in a bunch) But the fact reamins, with out a good collegiate player this year, urban's team was absolute crap. Against us, when WE KICKED THEIR ASSES, cryer's offensive gameplan was worse than most pop-warner teams. In fact, dick jauron probably could have designed a better offensive gameplan.
  15. I don't see Mack Brown quitting. And cryer gets him name from whining his way into the 2006 National Championship, which UF had no rights being in. Urban Cryer will forever be Jimbo Fisher's B word.
  16. Good ol Roger thinks its icky, so thats why Washington is blackballed. He should have simply killed some people (Ray Ray in baltimore), or bashed the heads of some defenseless animals (Vick), and Roger would have suspended him 2 games and them welcomed him back.
  17. Sorry, Ron Zook's players won that title. Not Cryer's. If his health was that bad, he should have stepped down after last season. He's stepping down to avoid further embarrassment that shows he can't design a functioning offense when he doesn't have the son of God playing QB.
  18. Coaching contracts are guaranteed. Player contracts aren't, which is why players wrangle for huge signing bonuses and "guaranteed" money. I'm all for guaranteeing player contracts in the next CBA. This will punish idiot teams like the redskins.
  19. This guy is turning into a Brett Favre with his antics. He'll probably unretire. on friday. He's quitting because he was exposed as a fraud of a coach, one who couldn't win at a high level without a once-in-a-generation college talent.
  20. You do relize that teams can discuss trade parameters before a specific team in on the clock. Its not like nothing happens and then all of a sudden, teams hammer out a deal in 10 minutes. If there was no worthwhile trade down, which there obviously wasn't, you don't just trade down to trade down.
  21. If you declare yourself the winner of an internet argument, you've already lost.
  22. Well, **** man, i thought you'd want to see that.
  23. We're in the low 20s over night and barely cracking 50 for high here in Tallahassee. Lots of whiners, but i'm loving it!!! This is real december weather!
  24. I don't think it will matter, because we'll finish with at least 3, probably 4 wins on the year.
  25. Anyoen wanna bet that with the way Bowlen cedes personnel control to the coach, and the fact that they have tim tebow, Jon Gruden ends up coaching there next year.
