  1. Literally never. It will never happen for McDermott. Ever.
  2. This coach will NEVER, EVER win a Superbowl. EVER.
  3. They have built a bottom five offense.
  4. But how quietly better are these wideouts today?
  5. This is exactly what I expected. The wheels are coming off this sh show. Horrible offseason planning by a severely overrated GM.
  6. Great plan Brandon! You sure know how to build an offense buddy!
  7. Things may quickly go off the rails on Sunday.
  8. He seems plodding to me. I question his offseason commitment.
  9. Didn’t we have Mooney in for a free agent visit?
  10. Offense is going to be ugly on Sunday.
  11. But they could and should have taken TWO, one high ceiling project (Keon) and one more pro ready. Did they really need Dewayne Washington or another special teams linebacker or Dequan Hardy? They always have their reasons why next year is the year to beef up the offense - always.
  12. They almost always talk themselves into waiting until next year to address WR. The Diggs situation was brewing back in 2022 and they let it fester (and extended/restructured him) without proactively looking for potential replacements. I just cannot fathom what Beane was thinking there. Then they traded Diggs, took a huge cap hit this year, and squandered a wide receiver-heavy draft by trading down twice and taking only one receiver. Now, of course, they are scrambling to figure out the position. It's just organizational negligence to the extreme. They are lucky Josh's character and personality are of the "don't rock the boat" type because they've set things up such that Josh has to play almost flawlessly every week for them to have a shot. Insane.
  13. You are kind of becoming a troll. Provide links, and provide support for your takes, or you'll quickly get added to everyone's ignore list. Here is the link, folks: https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5811325/2024/10/02/davante-adams-trade-offers-raiders-jets-steelers/ The above is just Joe B.'s thought experiment, not an actual offer.
  14. At a minimum they're driving up the Jets' payment. That's about all. I cannot fathom Beane actually pulling the trigger on this.
  15. If the Jets land him it will make them among the top three or five most talented teams in the AFC. I don’t know why folks are so dismissive of them, they laid an egg against the Broncos (so did we last year) but have more matchup winners at key positions than almost any other team. And a QB like Rogers makes up for a mediocre o line. They will be stacked with Adams. Meanwhile the Bills’ only real receiving threat is injured already and possibly out on Sunday and then things could really get ugly in Houston and beyond. With the Jets on deck in the Meadowlands on Monday night with Adams putting on the jersey for the first time… Just sayin’. This thing could go south FAST. Folks get cocky after early season wins but the margin for error with this team is razor thin. The Jets being good would be a nightmare - biggest douche coach/QB combo in the league with the douchiest fans, getting all of that media hype, it will suck.
  16. I will go down with the ship on this one - I appear to be the only person in the world who thinks McDaniel is a really good head coach.
  17. Maybe. But also maybe smaller defenses get more banged up…
  18. I think it’s more the roster construction and schematic philosophy suggest that they actually think playing ball control with good defense and special teams (when they have neither of those things) will finally get them over the hump in January. Some of us have our doubts.
  19. We are trying to avoid turnovers and maintain possession. It's not insane given who he's throwing to. But one explosive option on the boundary would open up the entire offense.
  20. It sure looked like a coaching failure watching it in realtime. I agree with @GunnerBill that a 3rd linebacker was not the solution (given who that LB is) but a 5th DL may have been, and/or run blitzing (to try to prevent Henry from gaining steam and getting to the second level). But being passive - on both offense and defense - and waiting to get hit in the mouth (which they then were, repeatedly) by a physical team needing a win playing at home on primetime - was an incredibly stupid strategy. It does bug me that McD seems to get outcoached several times per season (and the playoffs) and that often that takes the form of being passive/reactive trying to "find their feet" before adjusting. For goodness sake just come out aggressive in big games Sean. Belichek and Reid seem to have a much lower rate of this kind of thing happening.
  21. I miss the days when not everyone had the internet.
  22. He’s been tentative. He’ll get better.
