I think/hope it is more the effect of putting in work in the offseason. He seems to know this offense better and his understanding of what defenses are trying to do seems to also have improved. His run checks still need work IMO.

The league should be on notice because JOSH ALLEN HAS GOTTEN BETTER. His body looks right but more important he is thinking the game and winning pre-snap. This is a HUGE development.

I think you are underrating that play (at least). Watch the JT O’Sullivan breakdown (it’s in another thread and is beyond my capabilities to post a link to it). They ran a perfect pick/mesh after putting the key defender in conflict. Wasn’t just using motion to id the defense. Also the choreography shows attention to detail and quality practice habits. That was elite play design and execution and Brady is using Samuel to confuse the defense throughout the games.

I thought both Spector and Williams played their best games as Bills on Thursday. Which is not to say they were perfect - they weren’t - but for the most part not toooooo many false steps (there def were some) and their overall play recognition, speed to the ball carrier, and ability to shed blocks was really solid. By contrast - I actually thought Bernard was slow to react and took bad angles against the Cardinals. But I don’t claim to be an expert in any of this I’m just a novice TV watcher.

McD knows this Dolphins team well. The strategy was the correct one. Tua needs everything to go perfectly on every single passing play because he lacks the physical ability to overcome a bad play call, a receiver running a slightly wrong route, a lineman missing a block etc. So the right strategy is to make them use as many plays as possible because eventually something bad will happen.

Zero chance. If anything they’ll start placing calls to Tom Brady (again).

You are dating yourself. This generation of players and workers craves leaders who view them as colleagues and teammates. McDaniel’s players absolutely love him and he’s a good coach.

I have my issues with McD but he would be highly sought after on the open market.

Yeah they are not going to risk having free rushers coming at Allen because Torrence's head and body aren't right. They'll sit him if it continues, and quickly.

I am fine even if it's a slight overpay. This is the going rate for ascending young RTs and I am biased in favor of keeping Allen as healthy as possible because watching him play every week is one of the greatest joys of my life. Period.

Torrence is a huge disappointment so far. He came into the season without his mind or body right.

The one thing that gets more more than anything else under this regime is that they are NEVER ahead of the curve on special teams. They are always chasing to keep up with the rest of the league in terms of strategy and approach. Always.

This is more about a QB who isn’t following the media program that I’m sure they’re schooling him on. Every other QB would say: “Marvin’s a competitor, good for him for wanting the ball to help us win games. He’s a real weapon and I’m excited to see him in this offense and I’m sure we’ll look for ways to get him more involved.”

Re: Groot, I said last year he would be a $100M man on defense and that hasn't changed for me. He is putting it all together and I've been high on him since he was drafted, just like I was high on Oliver. He is going to get a MASSIVE contract and it'll be worth it. There are a few notable posters on this board who routinely criticize Groot, Oliver and Allen - those posters are idiots.
